Love how this comic uses animation exclusively from episodes directed by Takahiro and Kazunori (for the most part), as the two of them tend to have very similar styles. Great attention to detail!
I so love Marik's deck. I think it captures him really well. Grotesque maniacal or twisted themes in every single card. Also the playing style of stacking effects and stalling causing existential fear like stagnant water mixed with making the other person helplessly controlled. It's fantastic, what Noah wish he could do lol

The use of Blast Held by the Doomed was incorrect Blue-Eyes was special summoned not tribute summoned so the trap wouldn't have been able to activate to begin with
That was really dumb of Marik to spend 5000 life points to summon Dark Magician. Was that just to fuck with Kaiba and show Mariks cruelty? Thats the only justification I can find for that play. He didnt even do anything with the Dark Magician. Otherwise all the dueling was sound.
I think that's the point. Marik is more of a saddist that enjoys watching people suffer see his duel with Joey. He had multiple chance to win and he said "Nah let me torture this asshole"

He has toonworld, yet only had 1 toon card, what would happen in the event that he drew one of them without the other? They’d be dead cards in his hand Plus don’t get me started on the ‘Contract With Exodia’ card he discarded, why would that be in his deck when he doesn’t have exodia?
