Alright Simon, we're gonna see what you got. I just unwrapped the first Omnibus of Gantz. A lot to live up to, and a lot of hype to meet. I really enjoyed Insomniacs After School, but I'm a widemouth fish for a good romance. Some of my favorites from 2023 are Chio's School Road (Still recommend this one to you), Happiness, Black Lagoon, and Daytime Shooting Star.
I'm happy to see that the majority of my recommendations were enjoyable. I'm a bit more lenient on Box of Light since it's one of the mangaka's first works, but I can see why you're dropping it. Interesting premise, but okay execution, in my opinion. I also really want to check out 20th Century Boys and Gantz, but I'm focusing on series I'm already collecting at the moment. My favorite first-time read of the year was Call of the Night, but that should be no surprise to you 😂. I can't believe there are only two chapters left, and from what I've seen on Instagram, it looks to have a very melancholic ending, which is perfect for me personally.
I’m both excited and sad to know that call of the night will be ending soon! Glad it’s not overstaying its welcome but it’s such an amazing series! My first read of the year was Logical Witch and I’m not gonna say to much here but i see why it’s one of your favorites😂!
Solid solid solid list. Killing Stalking gets way crazier. I have 1 - 5 I'm just waiting for it to end so I can binge it. I want all my gay trauma in one go. 🤣
