  • Decided to get rid of the 1.8t and get the engine that I’ve wanted all along, the sound makes up for the lack in power haha. Took me 4 months to complete the swap with my dad
    The car has slight mods, stage 2 tune, stage 1 clutch, stage 2 motor mounts, new timing chain etc.

    Just couldn't resist that sweet melody VR6 makes huh? In honor of the V Reihenmotor you must remove that 1.8t badge Sir :)

    Very nice! I have an almost stock 3 door VR6 in my garage. Barely over 106K on the odometer and I am trying to decide how to do the exhaust right the first time. Loved the shout out at the end!

      It’s a GTS performance tune, wouldn’t recommend tbh

    Sweet to see someone else doing this swap , my 1.8t Wolfsburg jumped timing so we swapped a 24v vr6 from a Gli into it. And I love it lol what tune are you running? And what’s good with the exhaust ?

    • @JZZjules
      @JZZjules  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gts performance tune, not the best tune. And the exhaust is all custom; stock downpipe mated to 3 inch pipe where the catalytic converter used to be, then 1 resonator in the mid section and 1 magnaflow muffler before the bumper

      Did you find any problem with the plug from engine harness tk body harness? My 1.8t has. A 10pin plug and vr6 24v has a 14pin plug

    • @JZZjules
      @JZZjules  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think they’re a great first car! Tons of aftermarket support and support from online forums, you’ll never find a problem that someone on the forums hasn’t figured out lol. Cheap and (somewhat) reliable. Just gotta watch out for the old plastic hoses and brittle lines that crack after 120k miles

      And was the wiring a pain to swap if you even needed to swap it?

  • @Eddy-th3kc
    @Eddy-th3kc 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How it was about wiring? Easy?

    • @JZZjules
      @JZZjules  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Plug and play basically. Getting it to turn over was the hard part because of crank position sensor issues. But all mk4s use the same engine to body harness plugs

      @@JZZjules thanks for the answer, did you find any problem like me? My 1.8t plug for engine harness has a 10pin plug and the engine harness from vr6 24v has a 14pin plug
