SADC deployment in DR Congo against the M23 draws mixed reactions

  • The eastern Democratic Republic of Congo is increasingly hosting more foreign troops seeking to restore peace and stability in the volatile region. However, the recent move by Kinshasa to seek the combat capabilities of the Southern African Development Community against the M23 rebel group has attracted mixed reactions as there are already other East African regional troops and a UN peacekeeping force on a similar mission there.

Because all the EAC countries are accomplices of the Tutsis/Rwanda/M23. This terrorist group gets its weapons from an arms dealer who lives in Kenya. We congolese know that very well.

The problem is that the UN is there to assist imperialist countries loot the minerals in East DRC, not to accomplish its real mission .For instance , a few months ago the SG of UN Antonio Gutteres said that the M23 militia have more weapons than the UN blue helmets. Can you believe him ? How a smal group of militia which cannot even buy 10 transport trucks can be more powerful than 10 000 UN blue helmets .

What, you really think other nations should risk their soldiers getting shot up and killed solving the problem you should be solving by yourselves? And for free? As long as DRC keeps looking to outsiders for help, they won't win.

DRC is the one that invited SADC. It knows it’s troops are effective.
East African countries are the ones who have economic interests in DRC.
      Hence M23 are Rwanda Proxies.

The main issue here is why is the AU not creating a central command center secondly why is the AU not meeting with all sides and actually come with a common solution. As an African I understand the reasoning of the M23 rebels concerns but the media from all groups always interviews the government instead the M23 rebels

There is a government, which called for order. There were conditions and terms before any negotiations. All grouod respected, but M23 refused. They are the ONLY ones who wish to be intergrated in the army again as generals and etc.
They have used this way to infiltrate the army and the government system of DRC with Rwandan generals. Remember the chief of the Rwandan army himself made himself chief if the Congolese army. Kenya has welcomed Somaliens. It still does not give Somaliens the right to become Kenyan generals or ministers, with or without training. The attitude of President Tshisekedi is right for Congolese people, although tough.
Soonner or later the "Ubwenge" will reach its ends, but let us accept to pay the ultimate price once and for all. Many countries in war invite other forces, when tbey feel limited. Nothing is wrong with the calling of forces. It ONLY needs coordination and high precision in actions.

Secondly Comgo inviting the EAC to help them combat the M23, but M23 is sponsored by some of the EAC countries. For me it didn't make sense and a lot of Congolese people were against it from day one. It's absurd the South African forces together with DR congo forces are doing a genocide against the Congolese Tutsi minority who have been marginararised by the Congolese government and now fighting for their rights, yet South Africa is accusing Israel of doing a Jenocide against the Palestinians. This world is full of Hypocrisy and double standards.

The sad thing is everyone short sighted looking at short term armed defeat of M23 not sustainable solution that addresses the root causes of M23 grievances and other 100+ rebels in the country . Remember SADC forces intervened before in 2012.. here you are now M23 issue is back because DRC Gov refused to adhere to peace agreement it signed with them. 🫤.

Let me ask you: do you realize that many refugees you claim to be pure Congolese actually speak Kinyarwanda, the Rwandan language? Just look at their surnames if you don't believe me-they are Rwandan names. So why do you reject the M23 rebels, but accept others as Congolese when they share the same background and roots? Just visit Rutshuro, Masisi, Kibumba, and Nyakiru, and you'll see that all the people living there speak Kinyarwanda. Stop this divisive rhetoric and end the tribal discrimination, because that is the only way for Congo to achieve peace. No one should risk their lives for minerals, because war is unpredictable and no one knows if they will survive. The M23 rebels are Congolese fighting for their rights, just like any other Congolese.

The thing about all this is.. as peace and security returns, what these people have gone through for the past 2 decades plus the mudslides and volcanoes etc… only a imbecile will try and befriend or attempt to be entertained by them for THEIR own peace and security. 😁🫡
