I know everyone always comments on these videos about what you should or shouldn't add, but I really do think a power bank should be a priority. After all, your phone is going to save your life significantly more than having 3 or 4 ways to start a fire. If you're somewhere where there's no service, walk until you have some service. Your location is easily accessible in emergency situations with your phone alone. The one I have is made by Auskang and has a built in charging cable. It's super thin and light and will charge most phones fully one time. Perfect for that sized bag. I think people underestimate the power of a cell phone in an emergency as weird as that may sound. Have some primitive things available, but focus on keeping your phone charged.

Alcohol swabs are great for lighting a fire. Anything that has multiple uses is better than single use.

That’s a great kit and it has made me rethink my own kit. Thanks for sharing.

I’m really impressed with that butane lighter and ferro rod set. That Wazoo card burns like a torch. It’ll definitely get that tinder to burn. It’s so easy to put too many things in an EDC kit. You have the “just enough” to handle most every situation in yours. Good video.

The little ferro rod's are cool. I like the lighter too, but we'll see how long it lasts lol. Thanks.

13:50 If you want that Zippo more useful, get a butane insert for the Zippo. There are single and double jetflame as well as a single flame inserts for Zippo lighters...

My on-body has slimmed down quite a bit. I have a hide&drink edc pocket wallet thats leather, formed to fit a pocket, and has two slots. One has a BIC lighter with a flamenest waterproof half-case, the other has a flashlight.
The zipper holds some go prepared spartan tinder sheets, a small hank of kevlar cord, and a dude wipe.
The only other thing i keep in that pocket is a knife.
Thats most of my edc needs taken care of in one pocket.
I have cargo shorts that hold my wallet, and the wallet also holds a line card from grim survival.
My phone case holds my license, work badge, and one debit card.
And my keys are around my neck on a paracord lanyard.
The only two "survival essentials" i dont have on my person are a way to purify water or shelter. But i also live in a urban/suburban/industrial area and i only work 7 miles away from home. I dont really need much beyond this stuff.

For work, i have to wear a safety vest, so i have some extra gear om body while at work. But i dont count that for my edc, because i obviously dont wear it if im not at work

    • @tarinindell8217
      @tarinindell8217 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I forgot, my keys are dummy-corded to yhe paracord lanyard with a firebiner. Just a little extra redundancy for fire and a way to cut cordage without using my knife.
Also, i do have an edc backpack that goes everywhere with me that has shelter and water needs taken care of. But its not usually on-body, so i dont count it for edc.

Like i said, my circumstances mean these are what i feel are necessary.
For example, keys dont go in my pockets because my vehicle is push-button start. So if my key fob battery gets drained, i cannot drive my vehicle.
I also absolutely hate a bunch of bulk in my pockets, so ive done everything reasonable to slim down.

Wouldn't it be easier to just wear cargo pants than to hold the Survival gear in a separate pouch? 🛠
