Thank you so much for this very helpful tutorial. I just got my game in the post today and can't wait to try it. Button Shy has some awesome designs and I really love the small footprint.
Fantastic explain and playthrough. Definitely picking up a copy of this when it gets restocked. Hope buttonshy and the creator come out with expansions.
Hope you get a copy soon! I know Bojan had a 1-card bonus for the PnP version at one point; perhaps it'll get published, but would also love more expansions as well. 😄
Finally got my copy! So I’ve watched your video multiple times and also Bojan’s. My first game I lost because of too many bodies in the ol graveyard. But great game. Really loving it.
That’s cool! I haven’t seen this one yet. I missed that you said it was a Buttonshy game, so I had to look it up - I thought it was from a publisher copying the Buttonshy formula!
A really interesting game! I do like Button Shy games, when I can find them, so I'll have to get this one as Print and Play. Thanks for highlighting it. 😊👍
Oddly (or I suppose not, thanks google) I was just looking at this game earlier, and since you haven’t steered me wrong yet, and since I love the theme too, I’ll be ordering it. Thanks for another great video! What are your other favorite microgames and/or dark high fantasy games?
Eyyy great timing! Do you have any favorites in this genre? I really enjoy Set A Watch & Fallen, as per other video lists. One Deck Dungeon is a bit long, but really solid as well. And The Banishing is an interesting one, though I've only played it twice so far. If Cartogrophers & Roll Player count as "dark", those definitely make the list as well! Sure there are more, but those few come to mind.
@@tabletoptokki thanks for the answers! I’ve been trying to trade for Set a Watch unsuccessfully which I’m taking to mean it’s a game people want to keep. I’m unfamiliar with The Banishing but I’ll definitely look into it. For microgames I love Sprawlopolis and Agropolis, the Oniverse games and I’m sure a few others.
I am so bad at this game. I've played it 8 times and haven't won once. I keep rewatching your video to see if I'm missing something, but no, I'm just terrible at it. XD
Ahhh it happens! You'll get it soon, I know it. I would recommend trying to notice the correlation between the heroes and enemies on the corresponding backs of cards. There are a few patterns that may make help you be a bit more successful. Good luck!!! :)
I’m really hoping to get a copy of this one if it gets another printing! Do you have any recommendations for games with similar theme or feel? Something to hold me over haha
Oooh fingers crossed for you! In the meantime, the Maiden in the Forest has a somewhat similar feel with card management/ how tight the game is-- may be a good one to check out! Palm Island also has a similar footprint, but different vibe. 😊
Ah, I somehow had the rule for exploring as that it could only be used to get one card. But since the actual restriction is that it can only be used on one quest's cards, looks like this was legal.
I tried to order from Sweden, but it was sold out and S&H is expensive anyway. I found pnparcade and could buy the pdf for s low price. Now, the remaining challenge is to find a printer.
@@jonathanjoyce2376 Excellent! I believe at a certain threshold they do offer free international shipping to most countries… but don't quote me on that, as I've not ever had to personally use that option. 😅
Hey, can you recommend other wallet sized solo games? I know Sprawlopolis is a must and I have Squire for Hire but want more quick games (there is a new baby in the world now, so time is not on my side these days!). Thank you
Ordered a few games from button shy, this one isn't one of them. I watch this video, regret my decision. Nooo, I'm not mad xD Nicely structured video, subed Also....cute
Yes, Bojan is fan of Dark Souls. He's also now a fan of yours and a subscriber. :]
Ahhh, well met! And thank you so much!! 😊😄😁
Congrats, a really interesting solo game. And pretty too.
Incredible how much depth you can get into 18 cards! Always surprised by the ingenuity of wallet games
Absolutely agree! I just love how innovative designers have become with the challenge of making smaller games. ^^
Def get that Onirim vibe; and that's a good thing. Good video Tia!
😄😄😄

Of course! ☺️

Ahaha it's a good formula! Glad to get this one on your radar. 😄
" ... 'roided-out Mister Tumnus" !!! OMG - lol - that's hilarious ( 11:20 -ish)
😉🤭
@@tabletoptokki Hey! Welcome back!
Thank you for such a clear and helpful explanation!
Absolutely! Enjoy ^^
I really want all the solo Button Shy games now. This one looks really nice, too
It's one of my all-time faves!!! ^^ I think PNP Arcade has the files for cheap for this one as well; or so I've been told. ^^
Yes, I downloaded it and am waiting for a print out.
Thank you for video, just placed an order!
Eyyy enjoy! This one is still one of my all-time fave microgames & have a feeling it's not going anywhere anytime soon. ^^

Maybe a monochrome version, eh? 😉
@@tabletoptokki Well, yes, but those of us who can't afford colour printers prefer to call it "low-ink". 😊

Awesome and easy to follow instructions!
Unrelated to the game question tho, the shirt that you're wearing? Is it a Ten Hundred piece? 😁
Glad to hear!
And you bet it is! haha Absolutely love his art & esgerly awaiting my Vivid Kingdoms deck… s. 😁

A play error at 11:56, no? The enemy snake card has a skull icon, so it can't be recruited, right?
She wasn't recruiting, she was exploring for quest completion

Micro games haven't caught my attention until now. That's the theme calling to me
This is a great one to pop your microgame cherry, so to speak! 😅 It's available on Button Shy's website if you're interested! ^^
