A good sniper will always be ridiculously oppressive no matter what game they're in because the skill ceiling is so high and it transfers so well between games...
That's true, I suck at sniping in every shooter game, but since hitboxes in this game are so big, and pretty much nobody else can counter gm sniper except another gm sniper, playing in this suit is stupid easy, especially on this map's opening chokepoint
@@AdrianGarcia-kx8er I think one of the ways they could balance it is reduce GM snipers damage to shields so you could should wall move on a sniper . But if the snipers teams burns down shields or holds them off he can still get those juicy picks.
@@scriptoris1947 another could be: GM1 sniper here is using the BALLISTIC sniper, so both Damage drop off, armor and shields should make the GM USELESS without a team to melt some of those off the enemy. For example: Gundam should OBVIOUSLY NIGH impervious to OHK by GM sniper due to Gundarium armor, same for any MS that has It on some of its armor. GM1 grunt: shield should be able to absolutely make it a non issue going against a GM sniper at range until you close it. Guntanks should be a pseudo counter with the Main gun skill tbh.
Nastiest thing I've seen a team do out of this spawn was have an Asshimar fly top right, and their Sazabi dashed to him and floated down directly on top of us. While the two other shield characters protected the rest of their team's advance down that main stretch.
If you get an attacking team working together on this map you can get out of spawn relatively quickly. The trouble is almost nobody works together and most are way too timid. I can't tell how many times I went Sazabi here, waited for the team to group up behind me and then charged in only to find nobody followed. If the attackers can get a couple of picks they can usually translate that to capturing point A before they return from spawn. But most games wind up looking like this....
me and my friends have 2 solo pushers and the rest adapt to the situation with who gets focused or to help flank if you're with randoms dont push too far imo but anyway gl
bruh, someone called me "useless" once as I was playing sniper, and I had 10 kill streaks too. the rest of the team had good coordination and they made sure that the enemy was always focused on them so I could get a clear shot even when barbatos was always going for my throat. I even took that advantage and drag him away from the rest so the team could focus on the objective. using angled boosts so he will miss. I always go for headshots too, then the guy that keeps dying was the only person to say i was useless lmao

the scope fully attaches to the visual camera in shows similar suites who do the same thing are basically able to snipe to upper atmosphere with scope systems. the game just cuts back on the real zoom
This mech is good on certain map, it become a sitting duck in a close quarter combat against melee mech, I hope people don't take the title literally because GM sniper is not broken or OP it defer according to player skill, map and team composition, a good sniper can't work alone it takes a team to divert the fight to them.

Issue with Sniper is the body shot damage, as you show here. You don't even have to aim. Anyone can pop body shots all day long and a single body shot makes almost any other unit weak enough for a 1 shot.

They were on some shit when they made the maps in this game. Some of them have the most fucked up choke points with sight lines as long as Texas...I don't even have the best aim, but I'll still take Sniper on some of these maps if no-one else does just because those long funnels make sniping easy AND oppressive as hell. They really didn't want their sniper boi to be unviable, huh?
Does the mobile suit get destroyed with a head shot or mid torso shot? In universe, an instant kill with a head shot doesn't make sense since the head is the most inconsequential part of the mobile suit and even with a destroyed head, the mobile suit is still fully functional.
The head isn't inconsequential since it has most if not all the sensors and optical equipment. It would take them out of the fight. Also some MS like the Sasabi have the cockpit in the head.
I mean hes not but sure. If the enemy team can't handle a sniper than yes in that sense its op. But only because some people are stubborn and can't adapt.
no it doesn't. if it did then Sazabi would be a bad mech because it does not cover its face at all with the shield you were probably shot in the back of the head
I want to like the game, but they just went to overmatch with it... Movement needs to be a little clunkier, and not QUITE as fast. I feel like it would be good ground work for a really great co-op game, but as it is now, I just can't.
You need to "plant"...by that I mean, stop trying to track targets left and right....once you have eyes on, PLANT your cross so they can walk back and forth into your shots!
Honestly there are characters that are just broken in that game, GM sniper. Pale rider, gun tank, melee zaku, dom. Yeah games busted, unbalanced as hell and full of hackers, not worth it

Asshimer is a damn rush beast. I won the first round in 37 seconds on a rush alone with a barbatos covering my rear

The shield is also OP especially sazabi's shield, i shot 4 magnum with unicorn and it can tank it like it was nothing
