Narcissism is huge in hollyweird, remember when our little meryl here called Harvey Weinstein a god 😂😂😂
This AFI worth nothing really. In the past they didn't give it to John Wayne, Olivia de Havilland, Charlie Chaplin, Norma Shearer, Cary Grant, Maureen O'Hara, Burt Lancaster, Joan Crawford, Robert Mitchum, Jean Simmons, Charlton Heston, Deborah Kerr, nowadays they haven't give it to Sylvester Stallone, Shirley MacLaine, Mel Gibson, Glenn Close, Kevin Costner, Sophia Loren, Richard Gere, Sally Field, and there have been recipients who mean nothing to the history of the cinema like Clooney, Roberts, Martin, and now we can add Kidman to this infamous list. Gosh, it's a pity
Meryl is being very generous. Kidman will never match her.
Generosity and love are so damn freaking sexy!
Harvey Weinsteins best friend
sorry Meryl, Kubrick was American, but this was fun nonetheless.
he lived in England for most of his life so he was part British
Meryl, no thanks, not this time.
What does that even mean? 😂
@@vickiego1 It means that I have had it with Meryl being promoted as the only great actress and being everywhere. It is a closed circle, and they award one the other. Where are the rest of the fantastic mattresses that have never ever been offered a moment of high exposure? Also, it means that Meryl's appearance is nothing good. She had some brilliant speeches, but not this one.
Yawn
Free Palestine 🇵🇸
Why is she always out of breath?
She looks old!
No to bravery but yes to recklessness?
way to try to word salad for effect.
Fell flat.
Speech was blah, not sure what everyone is impressed by.
Most of the speeches were people talking about themselves.
Kidman is not as wonderful as she's made out to be.
UGH! Surprised DeNiro isn't with her so they can try to push their political choice on us, thinking they really make a difference on our choice!
omg Get over yourself Susan.
🤮🤮🤮
I think Meryl is great. And…I actually thought it was tacky for her to joke about being ‘incessantly called the greatest actress of her generation.’ I think everyone laughed because what the hell else can you do? You’re not supposed to talk about yourself at a tribute for someone else!
Did you not get the humour?!
The joke.
You.
Yes I do. Absolutely. It just wasn’t my cup of tea.
You nailed it! I was thinking the same thing.
I get what you’re saying- but at the same time- it’s Interesting that Meryl bring that up, brings up that phrase- during this speech about Nicole. She goes on to say some things about Nicole that we don’t often hear her say, which I find intriguing. Regardless, it is true- that Meryl IS incessantly called the best living film actor- she’s heard it a lot, we’ve all heard it a lot. So in a way it was nice to hear her address it. She’s said before that “there is no such thing as” that, too.
Both terrible
Streep is so arrogant and Kidman's had waaay too much plastic surgery.
Streep is egotistic and full of herself! Very annoying
@@lilyagevorkian1756she’s actually known for her humility actually, she’s constantly self-deprecating
Biden/Harris 2024 💙🇺🇸🌈🏳️⚧️
😂 Russia and China would have invaded US by then 😂
NICOLE I DIDN'T KNOW THAT DESPITE YOU HAD GREAT TALENT. YOU HAVE SO MUCH HUMILITY AND MODESTY... RESPECT... I HAVE GREAT RESPECT FOR YOU.
