First Bath: 38/338 - Bristol to Bath Via Keynsham

The 38 (was 338) Route was introduced on November 4 2012, following a review of the Bath to Bristol services. On the 12th April in 2014 the route was renumbered to 38. In 2017 First Withdrew the service.
The total journey length for this bus is approximately 1hr and 10 minutes.

This certainly brings back many childhood memories from the 1950's when I used this equivalent 'bus route (with a different route number, on the then Bristol Omnibus Company Country Services) numerous times for visiting various relatives in Bath. A lot of the scenery is still easily recognisable from those post-war days.

According to an old country walks guide (dated 1949) in my possession, the Bristol to Bath service passing by the Globe Inn at Newton St. Loe (which would also have passed through Keynsham too) was the number 33 route. I hope that this has been of some help.
