I love this comment
I love youuu
Beth Chapman let’s be honest who didn’t
"I tried, therefore no one should criticize me"
Johanns Rogers I read that as he said it lol
A motto to live by
Too good
Fucking deeead
I mean like, he’s not wrong
Daniel Radcliffe is wonderful. And his American accent is on point.
Feline Feline watch his alphabet aerobics video he does a great American accent then too
every scatch hes in is great. there should be more.
TF are you here then
American accent is not rlly an accent
@@sarthak8441 Wow AmEiRiCa iS tHe CeNteR Of tHe wOlRd. It's not an accent if America is really centre of the world, or American English is the de-facto standard form of english pronunciation in the world. Hint: It's not. The Brits invented the English language (Get it? English). Fact checked: The general American accent is an English accent widely spoken in North America (and those who want to sound American), so it's an accent just like any other. I’ve heard many Americans say that they don’t have an accent. I’ve heard many coming to another English speaking country saying that too.
“I tried and there for no one should criticize me” -Daniel Radcliffe
Yeah, you tried.
@@viniciusaugusto5229 lol, he did.
*Brad Lewis. But hey you tried so you get a medal...
You know what they say. If at first you don't try... LOL
Miley West You do realise it's a character and not actually Daniel Radcliffe...?
Radcliffe dancing got me laughing so much
Lol me too
sanoban I dance irish dance Cause im from irelsand but im not better than him
Some good moves there!
Pretty light in the loafers for a straight guy.
lmao same
"I've never been punched!" and
"Because I have no shame, or self-awareness!" :D - The best 2 lines.
+Hans Poker and this generations motto "I tried and therefore noone should critiyise me."
😂😂😂
@@ricchansan *This generation's motto: "I tried and therefore no one should criticize me"
@Leah Schrum I tried therefore don't criticise me.
@@ricchansan but did you really try tho
with rich Tiktok teens who do mediocre dances being some of the most famous entertainers of this era, this sketch aged terrifyingly well
True
I remember watching this live when it aired back in 2012 and didn’t really get it or think it was funny. Now I think it’s such a brilliant sketch. Ironically I think it’s more relevant now than it was when it was first aired.
@@Musickt196 absolutely agree man
I literally cant name a single one... I work in the entertainment industry lol.
Literally 😂😂
I'm shocked at how people missed the other side of this sketch, they're really laying it on thick - while they are mocking the YT generation for thinking it's awesome while not having any experience or talent, they are throwing all the blame on the system that created them - the parents that support them, the colleges that cost 45K a year to give out non-diplomas and the schools that don't grade them so everyone is a winner. The sketch is great because it critiques all involved.
Itai Neter e
Dumb sketch. Teribble comically. Whoever did this can't do squat. Kill it. Kill the sketch.
@@happycamper6888 Well I guess you can argue like that too LuL
You can do anything!
You bore me to death. You can do anything
The amount of passive aggressive burns in this 😂😂
"I tried and therefore no one should criticize me." hahhaa!
that chinese calligraphy tho
45K a year!
10/10
Fun fact: in elementary school, one of Daniel Radcliffe's teachers told him that since he wasn't good at anything else, he might as well be an actor.
😂
😂😂
Daniels dancing is amazing!! Me and my friends can’t stop rewatching it and laughing!
He actually starred in a Broadway musical. You should look up his performance at the Tony’s
I keep rewatching that dancing part. It's just hilarious for some reason.
Come back and watch again
@@ouz1788 Thanks! I Will XD
Because he's actually quite good at mock dancing.
It's Kinda Became A Meme But Genuinely He Was Dancing Real Good
any political experience ?
no
know anything about the economy ?
nah
foreign policy ?
nope
Welcome aboard Mr President !!
Indian? Or nri? Or born in abroad?
Gadhe woh tera president nahi hai.
congrats, you just described donald trump
Pretty much :(
No foreign policy skills and yet we are at the most peace with countries than we have been in years. Maybe being a career politian shouldn't be a thing? Hmmmmm
that was one of the best sketches with Daniel Radcliffe, him doing "the irish dance and chinese calliography" HAHA, lol
It's amazing how this is still relevant and yet has gotten SO much worse.
I was looking for this comment.
omg yes and this was in 2013
I was actually thinking the opposite. When it comes to TH-cam channels, there are so many good ones on any subject. I think the good started outweighing the bad. Well, I must admit I don't watch any uploads by entitled teens, but it seems like 8-7 years ago there was mostly crap on TH-cam and now there are sooo many great channels created by smart compassionate people who actually care about adding value forst snd foremost.
Depends on your interests and what you're watching, i guess
@@Berlynic there are still many such less than mediocre kids online even today and they still hate being corrected
Right. Society has gotten to the point where this sketch is--almost--no longer a parody.
Daniel's accent here in SNL gives me goosebumps, so strange, but AWESOME
It's terrifying how as this sketch has aged it's become more accurate.
I know right
That's why I'm watching it today--to remind myself that what passes for acceptable behavior today was rightly ridiculed less than ten years ago.
I actually watched this episode back when it aired back in early 2012 and I didn't get it. Now, it's spot on. It's more relevant now than it was back then!
Jason actually has a really good singing voice!
"You're a dancer, Harry."
Im a wOt?
@@SlytherinPotterhead-bj4gfYour a Rizzler harry

LoL
😂😂😂👏
So what the top comment said but a bunch of other extraneous bullshit?
Ikr
"The world needs more singer/song writers and fewer doctors and engineers" is the best line indeed.
7 years later, this has become truer than ever and I loved every second of the video
3:52 Harry on his way to put his name in the goblet of fire.
😂😂😂
Omg never realised Dan Radcliffe was so short!!
QueenOfAmber What the heck????
Im nearly taller than him
@@kentyboy3989 that also makes me feel eligible for hermione
He’s the same height as me😂 I’m 5,4
Ikr
"I've never been punched... never.. not once.." @ 2:30 had me laughing out loud LMAO
THIS is where “i tried and therefore no one should criticize me” comes from??? my god...
Not bad for a long-running sketch show that most people have stopped watching before the start of the new millennium (or even a little after).
Bill hader and Daniel Radcliffe in the same video is the best thing I ever seen
The dancing was pretty amazing though. So very energetic and perfectly in time.
As an artist, I see this ALOT- 'conceptual' artists who make abhorrent trite in the laziest way possible are told they're 'new' and 'exciting', when in fact the work produced contains little meaning and no skill or inherent value. Tell them they're doing a poor job, and you're being 'narrow minded. they basically (like in this video) want no bad criticism, or hard work, whilst wanting all the perks and money
Lewis Rimmington I so hope you are taking the joke one step further.
Yeah i am trying to be a rap artist and hopefully people are honest
Umm you should probably avoid going to “Artwalk” in Portland, Oregon then!🤣😂🤣
I know it's been years but it's bugging me that you seem to think trite is a noun and, even worse, of all the relevant observations of comparison you could have made, you couldn't even use your own words - settling instead on sounding like some illiterate dumbass reeking of envy at other's success.
Art is in the eye of the beholder... If they're all entitled assholes making "abhorrent trite" (abhorrent trite *what* ?) and doing so much better than you are maybe it has something to do with you.
I certainly have changed in the last 4 years so I hope that something has for you since then as well.
@@therealunicornselene Nah I agree with this guy, I hope Lewis remains firm too. Coming out pretty harsh for a five year old comment on an SNL video as well, how did you go from Radcliffe dancing to splitting this comment in half?
Do you have any shame? Or self awareness?
Depressingly accurate depiction of modern day society.
+Kieren Lincoln
I totally agree with you.
Still true
Daniel Radcliffe's American accent is better than mine and I was born and raised in Kansas
i dont get why people get butthurt by this...i mean it is a painful truth...
+msnicoleleeee314 I totaly agree... Meanless, untalented plastic and self-confident people think they won the life...
+Agata Miśkowicz On the other hand the people they meant it for likely don't even get it because they're incapable of self reflection
s3.amazonaws.com/lowres.cartoonstock.com/social-issues-ignorance-super_hero-superpower-super_power-superhero-mwln140_low.jpg
+msnicoleleeee314 That's the perfect example of irony. That people are actually butthurt by this proves the point of the video... all of them are loosers, even the moderators of that weak show... and that's the point.
+msnicoleleeee314 But I don't see anyone being butthurt, and the video has a very good like/dislike ratio. Also because if someone like the ones they depicted were to see this video, they wouldn't feel like they are the ones being targeted. Which means we could be them too!
9Kualalumpur when you say "i dont understand why are people are butthurt". Just shut the fuck up
Radcliffe's 'Irish dancing' is by far the best part!!
Dan's Irish dance at 3:50 made me think of Peter Pan for some reason xD
damn. shots fired all over the place lol
"Is that why your so sucky and you don't realize it?" "Probably yeah" XD
I wasn't sold until the Irish dancinc Chinese calligraphy. Then I was sold, and now its over, well. I guess i'll stay here.
That Jelly-Legs Jinx was super effective.
“I tried therefore no one should criticize me!” GUYS, GAILS, AND NON-BINARY PALS! I HAVE FOUND MY SENIOR QUOTE!😌
Daniel's performance was prob the best ever👌😂
“Because I have no shame or self awareness “
“I have tried and no one should criticize me” Lol
Dan's American accent is everything! ❤️🔥❤️
Training for the ballet Pottah? ⚡️
Shove off, Malloy!
Oooh the shade is real in this one
"I went to a school with no grades" was perfect
3:01 aww he’s so smol haha
snl is always ahead of it's time. we see people like this now more than ever
This was a great sketch! Everyone was very good, and it was a super original idea by the writers of the sketch! They are all so talented. Thumbs up and #like!
Gotta be honest, Daniel Radcliffe is hilarious! 😂😂😂😂😂

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAH HIS DANCE IS AWESOME 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Omg...
I've been trying to raise 6 kids in this generation...I'm just DYING🤣🤣🤣
......" I MAJORED IN CLOWNING"♡♡♡
“Training for the ballet, Pottah?”
“Irish dancing, actually.”
This skit aged scarily well...
"unearned confidence" isnt it like the situation of i need experience to work and i need work to get experience? Therefore if i need confidence to do something that i had never done before i would need to use unearned confidence?
this sketch is pretty ahead of its time! They are already conquering the whole social media platform.
Yeah, we need more singer/songwriters like that. lol
I’m gonna be the one to say that though this is funny and I did laugh, it kinda enforces a negative mindset that since you’re not good at it immediately means you should never try
Of course you should try, but don't brag about it, and don't try to make a living from people praising you for trying.
This is so ruthlessly true, it hurts!
Draco Malfoy trying to cry in peace:
Harry:
Love the way bill hadder looks 'elsewhere' many a times while delivering his lines
0:06 that mans definitely holding in a poop you can see by his face 😌
The pose at the end of Daniels dancing!!
excellent social commentary - on not only culture, but the system that cultivated said culture
This is soooooo Realistic! Lol 😂 and timely
Wow Major Ben Folds Five vibes on Jason's character. Not sure if it was the vocals or the piano melody.
Haahahahhahaha I love youtubers and all, but this is extremely accurate :))
some truth in what they say
2023 and this skit is even more relevant.
This is such excellent commentary! How did we go from this to Goober the Clown?!
I remember when this aired and I'm noticing two differences. 1) He said $45,000 when I remember him stumbling at that part and ultimately saying $100,000. 2) When he said "I went to a school with no grades", you could barely here him over the audience, and it's clear here that they increased the volume from him at that point.
2:03 Funny until you realize this was made by script writers for a comedy show 💀
I thoguth it was weird till that..
SNL is allowed to be self-depreciating every once in a while.
One of the best sketches!

Some one already commented that
Dude Daniel’s voice as this character is great 👌🏻👏🏻😂
This is so accurate lol
Dan is AMAZING!!!
Daniel Radcliffe's American accent is really good!!!
Oh, I thought this was an SNL skit, but it's actually a documentary.
Sooooo spot on for today. Participation ribbons for everyone!!!
brad has the slickest move ever
I love how straightforward and down right real this sketch this is hilarious and bit disturbing at the same time a masterpiece by SNL👍
Haha this is baby boomer porn
This is so on point. Wow!
Oh ..to see Bill smile ,,🥰
so painfully true
Every middle-aged generation from the 1950s onwards has said EXACTLY the same type of whiney BS about the younger generation. :-) xx
I was looking for a comment like this.
Plato used to complain that young people of his time had no respect for their elders etc. This is a tale as old as time, pity to see SNL falling into it
Oh my goodness, when Harry, sorry, Daniel's face was on close-up, my eyes just went to the forehead looking for the lightning scar!!
That dancing though.... woooaahh!
Had no idea Daniel is so good at comedy. He's brilliant
This skit is even more relevant in 2020 than it was in 2013.
I found this both hilarious and nigh-physically uncomfortable to watch. It's just too true.
10 years later... and this is more accurate than ever.
Love this!
