      the docs says it is like a "game engine"... well, it is not true... does not compare with enscape or other "game engine based" renderers. a shame.

      @@drelius That's because Vray is far above shitty renderers like Enscape or Lumion

    • @drelius
      @drelius 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@rodrigogier ok, i agree, but in terms of realtime speed, for what the vision feature is made, the performance is as shitty and does not compare with the shitty renders . I wasn't refering to final quality of rendering (where vray is king), but the purpose of Vision in comparison with a "game engine" based render.

      Hi! I'm running on a i7 - 2070 RTX - 16GB Ram I barely have any issues with it.
      Another recommendation i seen is the GS66 Stealth Runs on RTX™ 3070 8GB, i7-10750H, 8 GB Ram. Usually a Good combination CPU, GPU and Ram Memory should do just fine. But Also depends on your budget, Hope that helps :)

    Hi there,
    I have been looking for the answer to a question, but I guess I don't have enough knowledge or skill about software to find my answer. I hope you guys or any other experts can help me to answer this question:
    In terms of realism, clarity, depth, or overall quality, is there a difference between Sketchup V-Ray and 3ds Max V-Ray renderings? Please help, if I can find the answer, I will have an idea of what direction I should keep going.
    I am good in Sketchup and learning V-Ray rending within it, but somehow I feel like others working with 3ds Max +V-Ray is always ahead! I am not sure if it is only about personal skills, or actually the difference between the two software.. Thanks a lot !

    • @TN3DStudio
      @TN3DStudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      To keep it simple;
      1. V-ray for 3D max is better and more advanced than V-ray for sketch-up (better materials and advanced options)
      2. 3Ds Max is a better 3D modelling platform than sketch-up (3Ds Max is a beast when it comes to modeling)
      I think V-ray for Sketchup is a powerful render engine. If you can work your way around sketch-up modeling limitations you can achieve great results. But 3Ds max is superiors to sketchup and Vray for Max is Better than Vray for Sketchup. So with more creative control Your likely to create better rendering. Than again, I've seen some amazing V-ray for sketch-up renders....SO I think its completely up to you, as an artist all these software's are just tools available for you to manifest your skills. I think if you master the fundamentals you can create awesome renders no matter what softwares you use :)
      You also have to think if this is a career decision. Many firms prefer 3Ds Max as an essential skill over sketchup.
      If you have the chance to learn 3Ds Max than go ahead, but i wouldnt dismiss V-ray for sketchup.
      I guess its really up to you.
      Hope that helps :)

    • @TN3DStudio

    • @TN3DStudio
      @TN3DStudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Using i7, 16gb ram, Geforce 2070. it works well for what I need it to do. 3080 would be a step up from what I have and the price works for me. while 3090 is an overall better performer. So I recommend comparing both, check the pros and cons, check benchmark results, and see if the extra cash is worth the performance of 3090. :) both would do great with Vray for sketchup.

    • @powawowah

      I use a 5950X & 3090FE, if you can afford a 3090 (I assume you can as you're asking) why wouldn't you get one, they're a total beast for rendering.
