The flawed hero (speaking of Ghost). The thing with all of the avengers is they all follow the greek tragedy concept of "the flawed hero". You aren't just overcoming your enemy but also overcoming your self.
31:44 Hank is a genius. Instead of just putting a tracker like an AirTag which only he could see, and would be boring, he made a giant cloud of ants in the sky that anyone could see, so they could race him there. Much more exciting!
What I love about this movie is just how small it is (no pun intended), no world ending threads, or even city ending. It's really just a family drama, and it's part of what makes the movie works. It really proves superhero movies don't need super stakes.
I didn't really enjoy it that much when I saw it in the theater (although I have come to like it very much), but that post-credits scene made it all worthwhile.
Omg I forgot that this movie came out after Infinity War lol (in my defense, everyone did) It's quite underrated. Well, the three Ant-Man movies are. The third being my fave (even if I know it's very divisive), but this one was pretty good as well. And the Wasp is pretty iconic, even if the fandom doesn't care for her that much. She's just cool.
Man back in 2018, watching this (and Captain Marvel) was rough. Like we all wanted an Ant-Man sequel, but all we could think about was Endgame. This was one of those movies that was A LOT better on a rewatch when you didn't have that Endgame anticipation anymore.
It doesn't really follow its own rules. If they were meant to keep the same weight Scott wouldn't be able to ride on Ants and stuff, and Hank in the first Ant Man had a Tank on his keychain
ant man and the wasp quantumania is the third movie that came out last year as part of phase 5! and ava is actually set to return in the thunderbolts movie releasing next year. can’t wait for captain marvel it’s such an underrated movie in my opinion
Very fun movie. Love the humor. Paul Rudd is prefect for a comedic Antman. Better than the comics version. Nice to have Walton Goggins in MCU but kind of a waste of his talents. I'm not much of a car chase person but enjoyed the one they did with big/small additions. Love having set in San Francisco. Great end scene connecting to the infinity War movie.
Catching up, but I have to stop here to say I watched most of the MCU films in theatre with my (moderately) elderly mom and we both (especially me) loved this one! It was a perfect way to catch your breath and lighten up a bit after Infinity War. Well, until that end credit scene, that is! Anyways, one of my favorites and Scott is such a good dad. Thanks for the reactions as always!
IMO, definitely a better movie than the first Ant Man. A much more interesting villain, and a more complex story line. Also IMO - not that it matters - but the Ant Man powers are the most egregious violation of the laws of physics of any character in the MCU so far. Granted, it's comic-book physics, so we just buy into it and have fun. Just about all the rest are sorta-kinda almost plausible. Cap's super-soldier serum is basically the comic-book version of steroids, same with Hulk, and Black Panther's heart-shaped herb. Iron Man's armor is just armor and weapons and a jet pack - amped up to comic-book levels. etc. But shrinking and growing is weird! Supposedly, he maintains the same mass regardless of size, which means when he ran up the barrel of that guy's gun, there's be the weight of a full-grown man pushing down on the gun. And when he grows to huge size, he'd blow away in the wind, because he'd be lighter than styrofoam. When he falls in the water, he should float, because his density would be less than 0.001. And when he's small, he'd be far too heavy for any ant to lift. OK, I'm rambling now. But the more you think about it, the less sense the power makes. But yes, I do still enjoy the movie. A lot!
Make sure to pay attention to how they describe the quantum realm. It’s well thought out mechanics and consistency could become very important later. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAAAHHHAAAHHAAAHAHAHAHAHAA! Dammit, I almost held it together😮😅😂
Soo i may have forget some details here soo if someone can help me i will appreciated, but how did the mother survive like 30 years without food or water?? She clearly age the same rate as in the surface soo im guessing her body was functioning normally, cause later on (not spoiler now cause they already react to the movie) endgame when Scott comes back from the quantum realm he is very hungry cause he haven't eat in what he felt as hours. Did they explain that? Or is just some quantum real mumbo jumbo?
Loved your guys reaction. I know this isn't marvel related but I hope you guys react to the new descendants movie that came out recently! I've been a big fan of your channel! ❤❤
Next week is a banger! You will hear a lot of hate about Captain Marvel, but ignore it. Marvel departed from the traditional male Captain Marvel and the parent’s basement dwellers were hurt over it. I loved the next film.
That's a simplistic view. There have been several variants of Captain Marvel in Marvel Comic's history, some of which were female, and saying people didn't like a female hero doesn't measure up to people's love of Black Widow People dislike the movie because of Brie Larsen's wooden performance and lack of charisma in the movie, as well as other issues that I'll let them decide on later,
Technically I suppose calling her a mutant is correct, but I would describe it as her cells being mutated by repeated exposure to Pym particles. I believe most mutants in the Marvel universe are born that way, whereas she was mutated over time, and I think would make her a mutate.
@@jowbloe3673 "Mutant" in Marvel comics mean someone born the the X-gene. Janet Van Dyne does not fit that description. Pym particles do not cause the appearance of the Mutant X-gene. There are TONS of super heroes (and villains) in Marvel that have nothing to do the mutation. I don't know where the OP is getting this from.
@testfire3000 - I think there needs to be a distinction between a 'mutant' and someone who has 'mutated' like Janet or the Hulk (or any of numerous others). EDIT: And I guess the X-gene is that distinction.
@@jowbloe3673 Thanks. I have been reading Marvel since the 70's and they really have narrowed it down to three basic categories (which can be broken down further) 1 Mutants: People born with the X-genetic code. Introduced in the Uncanny X-Men issue 1 in 1963 2 Mutates: People *not* born with the X-gene but have it implanted or otherwise created in their bodies. Humans (or animals) that are mutated. A great example of this is the first X-Men film in 2000, that was Magneto's entire plan, to turn the human world leaders into X-gene carrying "Mutants" (in the comics they make the distinction of calling such creations mutates, as if it makes a difference. The source of their super powers is still the X-gene). 3. All other super powered people. Spider-Man. Captain America. The Hulk. Henry Pym and Janet Van Dyne. Tony Stark/Iron Man. Daredevil. Thor. They all get their powers from different sources, none of which depend on the X-genetic code. This "everything else" category actually has lots of sub-categories, like aliens, The Inhumans or The Eternals or other such groups.
HAPPY MARVEL MONDAY!! Let's have a movie night! www.patreon.com/tktopmovies
Don’t lie…you’re all here to see the reaction to one scene.
@@PeterGoss-f6p which would be?
The Stan Lee cameo.
That only scene 😂
What scene?..I forgotten?..😁
Not me I promise! 😂

Ava/Ghost is confirmed to return next year! So happy!
Oh sweet!!!!

That is an awesome point!!
Ghost will be back as a member of the Thunderbolts along with the Winter Soldier and others.
Marvel makes a fun movie to compensate us from the trauma of Infinity War.
And then they put that credits scene as a gut punch.
Just another briIIiant stroke of genius
I didn't really enjoy it that much when I saw it in the theater (although I have come to like it very much), but that post-credits scene made it all worthwhile.
so True, everybody is having fun, and forgot the events of infinity war, and that post credit scene shocked everyone with a big sighed
Right???!!!!! Totally felt that way hahaha
The post credit scene is important don't forget it

Good thing you guys didn't skip watching "Antman and the Wasp." It makes more sense when watching "Endgame."
We enjoyed this one! Glad we watched it too!!

Thanks Price!! This movie was AWESOME!!!!!!
"It is Truth Serum"
If it walk like duck, and talk like duck. 😂 Is truth serum.
LOL! Loved that scene hahaha
Pym particles are really special because normal shrinkage in this universe keeps all the mass so a building is still as heavy as a building

Please split Endgame into 2 parts so you can show as much content as you can. Just don't do it one Monday to the next.
Fun fact; in most comics versions Janet Van Dyne, Hope's mom is actually a mutant. Shrinking is one of her powers
No she isn't. Janet Van Dyne gets her powers from the Pym particles with "biological modification" from Hank that gave her the wings.
Technically I suppose calling her a mutant is correct, but I would describe it as her cells being mutated by repeated exposure to Pym particles.
