hi ma'm. first of all, you are doing an amazing selfless service by making these videos. i salute you and admire your work. it is immensely useful.
In the cumulative causation model, are the BACKWASH and SPREAD effects connected?
Are regions A and B in spatial proximity? does backwash in area B imply it goes to area A?
Also, does spread effect from region A imply that it results in growth of surrounding regions(area B)?
Did myrdal say that spread effect would result in reduction of regional imbalance?
PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO comparing myrdals cumulative causation and hirschmann's unbalanced growth.
I read that hirschmann was more optimistic in his approach while myrdal was not so.
please explain, thank you.

mam.. hirschman concept of growth pole influence external diseconomy in the end and lead to spread of development.. but myrdal says that spread of development may not be the end result.. meaning existence of cumulative and circular causation prevent this from happening the spread...
please suggest exactly what is clear diff btn cumulative and circular causation here?
Circular causation means one will affect another and the process will go on. However, cumulative implies one factor would add onto the another factor.
Superb.. Thanks ☺️
LOVED IT!!!!!!
exellent mam
So in India we high population and industrial density in chhotanagpur plateau, coastal region than central India...But in modern times coal is not of that much importance due to HEP and scrap steel. But still it's relevant theory...so government should decentralise the industries by intervening by investing in infra and connectivity of the resource deficient regions...it will also help in the development of the connurbations and decreasing migration as said by ravenstein and Stouffer's theory
Thank you very much..
Well explained ma'am 😁😁
