I used to have that watch, exactly the same, about 25 years ago. Surprisingly, they haven't changed a thing. A great looking dress watch. Thanks Rob for bring back the memory.
@@samuelkim2611 great. sometimes I wonder how many years a good quartz movement can last.... and whether there are huge difference in quality between Japan made vs Swiss made quartz movements...
Nice review Rob and nice watch but to be honest no watch today in 2024 should be less than 50-100 m water resistant. And the sweet spot for the measurements should be at least 36 mm for a tank watch.😃

Seiko lasts a lifetime. I have a Seiko quartz watch with day and date and I have had it for 25 years without any problems.

@@alexsdg3441 For some reason after battery is changed, Seiko quartz watch lasts way longer than Swiss quartz watch like Rado that I have.
I had one of these in the late 80's or early 90s. It takes me back to my teens.
Please Seiko, put a sapphire crystal and a mechanical movement in it, for 100 more and it could be awesome !!!
it would be like 300 more not 100 more lol
It would be much more than $100 more as well it wouldnt be as thin.
Been thinking of getting this as my first square.
If RR says it's ok, must be legit!
I was thinking the same thing. I've never had a square cased watch, for some reason this one is calling me.
I have this watch and love it . Wish it had sapphire crystal though the hardlex scratches easy
Am i the only one who remembers a solar version of this?

That's huge for a tank style watch. 26mm is the perfect diameter for a tank
I think the SWR 064 (gold tone) is more attractive.
it's too big
Agreed
Too big for the classic Tank design, even for a man. I would go for the smaller one.
That lug width is an instant deal breaker. And hardlex? Lol. Such a shame...
You lost me at hardlex crystal
There's nothing wrong with hardlex. If you want one of these watches with a sapphire crystal, go spend $3k on a Cartier. 🤷🏻♂️
@@rong.2457I have this watch with hardlex and it scratched extremely easy
