Literally made no sense that the Enclave had absolutely ZERO recruitment policy. You absolutely cannot conquer a lawless post-apocalyptic country the size of the United States that ALREADY HAS multiple fledgling and developing communities and nations. The Enclave expected to fight a long series of small and large scale wars over a few short years with completely limited manpower and no way to replenish casualties outside of the birth rates within their secretive shadow organization? Of all the factions that should be making first contact with and recruiting from the Vaults, it should be the Enclave as “the remnants of America’s government” considering it was they who contracted the things. America put its best and brightest inside giant steel bunkers to both develop skills to rebuild the nation, and to perform immoral experimentation and research. Bravo! First video I've seen about the Enclave that mentions the Boston Bugle. SO much is revealed in that one article. BTW: The Boston Bugle had PLANNED to release the information about the whereabouts of the American president at the time, and Control Station Enclave, on October 23, 2077 (or maybe the 24th. I honestly can't remember. I'd have to go back and check). But basically, it can be inferred the Boston Bugle was monitored by the Enclave or even Vault-Tec, both of whom were working close together at that time, realized they were about to be exposed to the world and launched a rogue, American nuke at China, forcing the Communists to respond, then forcing the rest of the American military to re-retaliate against China, thus ending the world. Some believe it was Vault-Tec (specifically, Braun) who launched the secret nuke themselves so they could initiate their sick experiments in the Vaults, but it was launched early, the reason why many Vaults were unfinished, for example Vault 88, by the war's start, and why the Vaults got an "Early Warning" ahead of the launch. Awesome video, regardless! ^_^
I know at this point a lot of people are tired of the enclave, but I really hope they come back, not as the big bad villain but rather as a faction you can join and help them rise again, would be cool i think
I wouldn’t mind a Mass Effect approach to something like that in the FO universe. Fall out is all about exploration and building your own story, but a one off that’s on rails wouldn’t be bad for a story about a soldier in the enclave.
You would think they would be tired of the BOS. I've never actually encountered the enclave since I've only played NV, 4, and 76 and I would love to see them in the future
@@jalenmcdermaid1186just so strange they would not let you join them especially since you could arguably join just as fucked up factions like the legion and the institute in later games
Wait I just realised the entire enclave navy still exists. The chosen one only destroyed the oil rig. Then again they might not be able to do anything because they have no oil Edit: I should say it *might exist, the ships could have been moved around, to China for the invasion, for example, between 2076 (when we were told the ships were at the oil rig) and 2077
I imagine if the enclave makes a return this will be their final force. All that is left, and I always theorized they'd show up with their fleet. I mean it makes sense from a gameplay standpoint. Bethesda keeps introducing bigger and badder tech. Liberty prime (fallout 3) the Prydwin (Fallout 4) and Beth knows the fans want to see more of the enclave. So it's very probable.
@@sherlockbonez They most likely were converted to that after the war if the Enclave are smart atleast writen smartly but given Bethesda.. Only best bet we have is the America Rising team for Fallout 4.

It'd stand to reason they would. They wouldn't have mutations and be cleaner than most people who lived out the wasteland and they existed Pre-War as Americans so I don't see it changing unless they end up being Anti-Enclave which if they were angry at the government or how things were run pre-war they probably might.

I actually really love the Enclave as a faction. So glad that in FO76 you finally got to join them and help them out. Sometimes its fun to play as the bad guys.
I wish there was a fallout game set during fallout 2 where you’re born into the enclave and get to make the decision to stay with them or leave them (which would result in them hunting you down for the rest of the game)
Eyebots and sentry bots were part of the enclave since Fallout 2 and are even present in the Oil Rig. Kind neat that Bethesda noted those bots. The concept art for Fallout 3 also shows cut concept that shows they planned to include all the monsters from Fallout 2 at one point.

I will say I'm happy the enclave have reappeared in fallout lore again. But I really hope they have changed some policies around in the years since their crippling. Feel like they would have to open up recruitment to wastelanders (maybe preferring vault dwellers and those with little mutations exposure) And possibly abandoning the all or nothing idea of wiping out all life exposed to radiation.
The Enclave AKA the bane of Fallout: The Frontier’s dev team since they shouldn’t have needlessly antagonized folks who wanted to join the Enclave lest it turn around and bite them in the keister like they wound up doing.

If the Enclave doesn’t think any one who is not in the Enclave is not American. What would happen if the Enclave met the Sole Survivor since he/she was an American?
Depends on if they have pre-war military records like the USS Constitution did in FO4. If they had pre-war military records, they would probably invite the male Sole Survivor into the fold. As for the female Sole Survivor, they may let her live due to her having uncorrupted DNA, but the Enclave has no judicial system for a lawyer to be in so she wouldn’t be invited into the fold.
The sole survivor was in the open air of the wasteland, so they're a mutant. If you're talking about the Washington enclave, idk wtf those fanfic guys would do
Literally the best and only way to make an enclave storyline could work in a fallout game and Bethesda fucking failed to make it happen, god I hate Bethesda
@NotAClanker The latent air-borne FEV mutation takes literally years, possibly even decades, to make any meaningful difference in a human's DNA. For quite awhile after exiting Vault 111 the Sole Survivor would not be technically considered a mutant.

I always questioned the ending of fallout 1, so a virus that is immune to radiation that can kill people that are afflicted with radiation, is neutralized by a nuclear explosion... wouldnt some of it still make it into the water or air and still effect California and Oregon. Aka the NCR? Just always seemed like a copout ending.
It was likely the immense heat and force of the explosion, radiation is a very small part of a nuclear explosion. Even little boy was able to completely disintegrate people and structures, so fallout nukes would have no problems there.
Small little bit, Horrigan dying doesn't trigger the nuclear explosion that destroys the Oil Rig. It's something you do by either arming it yourself or strong arming one of the scientists in to doing while you're there rescuing everyone and getting the GECK. But still, I would love to see more of the Enclave in later installments since they have bases and such around the continental US.
I must have mispoke. What I meant to say is that while Frank Horrigan is dying, he activates the oil rigs self-destruct mechanism in a last ditch effort to kill the chosen one. Sorry for any confusion.
Glad I found this channel. My first Fallout game was 4 and I had NO clue who the Enclave was nor the BoS. I didn't know who to join, who to stay away from. Nothing. Now I just need to find a BoS video

@@offdazaza2769then go play 3 at least lol and they’re technically in 76 if you wanna get technical but I’d rather not
If the enclave isn't a villain, then it isn't the enclave.

Wait I just realised the entire enclave navy still exists. The chosen one only destroyed the oil rig. Then again they might not be able to do anything because they have no oil
Edit: I should say it *might exist, the ships could have been moved around, to China for the invasion, for example, between 2076 (when we were told the ships were at the oil rig) and 2077
I imagine if the enclave makes a return this will be their final force.
If all the cars are nuclear powered, you would think the ships would be the same.
@@sherlockbonez They most likely were converted to that after the war if the Enclave are smart atleast writen smartly but given Bethesda.. Only best bet we have is the America Rising team for Fallout 4.
I mean rivet city was a battleship that presumably was in service up until the war so its highly unlikely the enclave had control of the entire U.S navy or at least had the entire force in 1 location as that makes it to easy a target.
@@sherlockbonez true ships are a lot easier to make nuclear powered than a tiny little car I would think

If they* found pre war citizens like the ones on tranquility lane or the icicles of vault 111 would they be considered American?
I believe so
Tranquility lanes inhabitants were basically dead slowly decaying bodies their minds were just trapped in the simulation
It'd stand to reason they would. They wouldn't have mutations and be cleaner than most people who lived out the wasteland and they existed Pre-War as Americans so I don't see it changing unless they end up being Anti-Enclave which if they were angry at the government or how things were run pre-war they probably might.
@Roberto The Super Mutant *mutated humanoid life.
Those inside vaults have no more mutations than those who founded The Enclave, I don't see a problem here.
@@Synonymous101 This isn’t totally relevant, but technically, the Soul Survivor, Shaun, Jack and Emogene Cabot, Edward Deegan, Kent Connelly, and the Vault Tec Rep, as well as everyone born before the bombs whose survived this long are all American Citizens, and American Citizenship is lifelong. (I’ve only played FO4, so I assume there are probably a lot more Ghouls who have lived that long).
Another fantastic video, mate. Loved it. Bethesda should be sending $$$ for this. You elevate this universe to another level, mate. Thank you!
I actually really love the Enclave as a faction. So glad that in FO76 you finally got to join them and help them out. Sometimes its fun to play as the bad guys.
I wish there was a fallout game set during fallout 2 where you’re born into the enclave and get to make the decision to stay with them or leave them (which would result in them hunting you down for the rest of the game)

very nice. I wish you and Nerbit did a collab " can you beat fallout...." video.
Nice overview! Brings back so many fond memories of playing this game as a kid.
I like to think Autumn and his remaining forces relocated to Chicago while operating bases like the crawler where research was undergoing. Autumn's ideas are far better than Maxon's BoS or the institute.
Babe wake up, Synonymous posted a new Lore video.

I love your videos man, great for chilling on bed after a long day. 🖤
I just finished season 1 of fallout on Amazon prime, and it makes sense now. In the first episode, the news broadcast says “the president’s whereabouts are currently unknown.” Meaning, the president was in hiding, and in Control Station Enclave.
Great video! I love the longer ones. 💜

@Chase Oliver while this is the correct move for the situation, it is not the route I chose lol
Great video as usual! I hope you do a video on the Children of Atom since they were mentioned here. The Grand Zealot is a pretty interesting character imo, it's pretty wild to go from serving in the Enclave to becoming a high ranking member of a radiation cult lol
Awesome faction
It was awesome that FO76 allowed us to “join” them.
Yeah
If the theory about "the higher ups" that Orlando mentions is right then we might see the Enclave again, this time closer to the FO2 Enclave.

I will say I'm happy the enclave have reappeared in fallout lore again.
But I really hope they have changed some policies around in the years since their crippling.
Feel like they would have to open up recruitment to wastelanders (maybe preferring vault dwellers and those with little mutations exposure)
And possibly abandoning the all or nothing idea of wiping out all life exposed to radiation.
i absolutely adore how radical most of the groups are, it makes complete sense considering what happened before and after the nukes.
I always loved the Enclave in Fallout 76 I went straight to the mission to start the Enclave Quest to become General
Fantastic job sir. Love the content.
The Enclave AKA the bane of Fallout: The Frontier’s dev team since they shouldn’t have needlessly antagonized folks who wanted to join the Enclave lest it turn around and bite them in the keister like they wound up doing.

Glad to hear it! 😁👍

So I sent reply and so far no response?
Small little bit, Horrigan dying doesn't trigger the nuclear explosion that destroys the Oil Rig. It's something you do by either arming it yourself or strong arming one of the scientists in to doing while you're there rescuing everyone and getting the GECK. But still, I would love to see more of the Enclave in later installments since they have bases and such around the continental US.
I must have mispoke. What I meant to say is that while Frank Horrigan is dying, he activates the oil rigs self-destruct mechanism in a last ditch effort to kill the chosen one. Sorry for any confusion.
