The original song that is sampled is Lonnie Liston Smith’s ‘A Garden of Peace’. But yes, it has been relentlessly sampled. Rick Ross alone has used it like 3 times lol

Love the song, the sample and the hook/melodic elements of the rapping, however it’s an effort to seem “neutral” after collab’ing with Kendrick affliates, the 7MD apology and his feature run with artists in an active Drake feud. But the second verse comes out more as Cole defending and pitying an alleged pdf file, culture vulture and according to the Metro, The Weeknd and Future, a backstabber. Confusing tbh.

I agree with all of joes sentiments but in defense of Cole I don’t think he’s tryna defend drake, I just think he is spineless and doesn’t have any morals he stands for. He thinks he can be on everyone’s side but when taking the road of trying to please everyone you end up pleasing no one. He needs to be either stay out of it or pick a side and stand on it. I don’t trust mediators cause most of them believe their moral standing is higher than others. Type of nigga to tell niggas in the hood to squash the beef and find peace with the dudes who killed their brother last year. Self righteous ass niggas think they know the answer to everything

Kendrick and Drake are NEVER making music together again after this, and Cole is just trying to say that he didn't want that to happen. HOWEVER, I think this all could have been avoided if Drake hadn't made it personal and if Cole just didn't drop during that period instead of apologizing. If he didn't drop during the Euphoria/Family matters time and we asked him about it later and he says "It got to personal for me" cool then that would have been done and we could move on.

Cole’s issue is he let his peers gas him up,

for a Cole & Kendrick beef in the
    first place in comparison to
    Drake & Kendrick who had
    real friction. This is why
    “7-Minute Drill” seemed
    like an empty diss, and
you could tell he did a
    response to appease
    the people online
    who love drama.

    1. DJ Vlad need to chill on the Dead prez slander. ♻️ is a primary component of hip hop.
    2. The 2nd verse would not have been over explained if he never spoiled it with commentary/posts beforehand. That's a strategy mistake. The verse is 🔥🔥.
    3. The first verse is disgusting. Bro a monster.

I've never heard JCole with rappers rappers. Can someone sent me JCole and Tech9? Or JCole and Eminem? Or JCole and Mick Jenkins? JCole is focus weary too much on marketing and not the art, is what it seems like to me. Social is marketing, not art.
