Here's the thing about Embiid, he's not going to be getting the ball as a primary option as much this year because the Sixers need Maxey's mobility and ballhandling to push advantage on the offensive end. If Maxey can stretch the defense then both PG and Embiid can be more effective as release valves

Saw a stat recently that showed the difference with all these guys on and off the court and Jokic numbers were stupid. The impact he has on the game is second to none. @@richdollars8337 Luka is an extremely great offensive player but the reason it looks like he's guarded heavily is because for one, he isn't as quick as some of the other players on the list and two, he dribbles a lot giving defenses time to help out on defense. It's probably why his efficiency is down because he often has to take difficult shots for this reason. Jokic isn't quick either but if he gets the ball they know he'll either make a quick hook shot or floater and if they bring a double or triple team, he's going to make them pay with his playmaking ability. Hence why he's the best in the league because he can impact the game several ways at the highest level. Even on defense he's not the best 1 on 1 defender but he's one of the best system defenders, he is literally orchestrating everything, telling players where to go, which switches to make and his rebounding ability is incredible and his ability to control the pace and facilitate even from beyond the arc.

Here's the thing about Embiid, he's not going to be getting the ball as a primary option as much this year because the Sixers need Maxey's mobility and ballhandling to push advantage on the offensive end. If Maxey can stretch the defense then both PG and Embiid can be more effective as release valves
Embiid at 8 is ridiculous. Jokic is the clear #1 player though, he does way too much for his team. Saw a stat recently that showed the difference with all these guys on and off the court and Jokic numbers were stupid. The impact he has on the game is second to none. When he's on the court they're like +12, when he's off the court Nuggets are -9. That's ridiculous. To put it into perspective, Luka is 2nd on this list, on the court they're plus 5, when he's off they're only minus 2-3 with an overall rating of +12. Joel has an overall rating of +9. Jokic has an overall rating of +24. If you add Luka and Joels overall + ratings, it still wouldn't be enough. Let that sink in. That's WILD.

@@richdollars8337 Luka is an extremely great offensive player but the reason it looks like he's guarded heavily is because for one, he isn't as quick as some of the other players on the list and two, he dribbles a lot giving defenses time to help out on defense. It's probably why his efficiency is down because he often has to take difficult shots for this reason.
Jokic isn't quick either but if he gets the ball they know he'll either make a quick hook shot or floater and if they bring a double or triple team, he's going to make them pay with his playmaking ability. Hence why he's the best in the league because he can impact the game several ways at the highest level.
Even on defense he's not the best 1 on 1 defender but he's one of the best system defenders, he is literally orchestrating everything, telling players where to go, which switches to make and his rebounding ability is incredible and his ability to control the pace and facilitate even from beyond the arc.
@@lionelrichardson6080 I think you can have one of the greatest runs and not be in the goat discussion. The goat discussion imo is both about having great runs but also longevity. We need to see Jokic win more chips and do this for the majority of his career like an MJ, LeBron, Kareem, Tim Duncan. He's only been playing at this level for about 3-4 seasons. The other guys played at the highest level for over a decade.
