Hi Dan, YarizardX here. Thanks for the shoutcast! For anyone wanting to run this team, I'll go over a few things: - the team was build for a meta where Grass/poison wasn't run much and capitalized on it. - the team is incredibly strong into ghost fastmoves. Shadow Gater, Trevenant, Lickitung, etc are pretty doable. - high elo games teambuilding is often about handling the meta you are seeing, even if that means a glaring weakness to a certain mon. - general strategy: teamread their team and safeswap vigoroth to lure out Skarmory if you predict one. If they can have an Annihilape in the back? Don't swap out. As for the games: - Empoleon/Wiggly/Goodra: An Empoleon Lead is almost always paired with a bulky dragon, altaria, goodra or even a glassy Shadow Dragonite. If I safeswap Wiggly into their Wiggly I would lose it to Empoleon. Losing my best counter to dragons would be the wrong move. - Vigoroth/Gligar/Azu. The reason I threw my disarming voice straight after their move without CMP was because it was my only wincon. Vigoroth had a move stored. If I take down Azu they will instantly win. My only wincon was them comboplaying, swapping out straight after the azu chargemove, costing them a turn. This would allow me to get a chargemove of on vigoroth, taking it out. But they were smart and didn't comboplay. But I didn't have an other 'out' to win. - Vig/Skeledrige/Talonflame: I knew the teamcomp as soon as I saw Skeledirge came in. My team is really bad against it. My wincon was really far away. I can't stay in with Lanturn. If i throw a rockslide they will let it go and still flip switch by shielding and my Lanturn would get close to no farm. My hope was getting them to 60% or so, farm up a lot and play it from there.
Vig/Ske/Tal: if you throw rock slide, your lanturn can do 6 water gun and ko Ske before he can throw the next move, so you can save the shield and have a surf loaded.
Congrats on hitting legend and continuing your legend streak, impressive stuff! Great explanations, cheers for providing. Also, ggs for the handful of times we've battled this season, until next time.
With regards to the Empoleon match, that team was recently featured by Jonkus so it’s fairly common now, so I assume the player predicted the Goodra in the back.
Empoleon, Wiggly, Goodra was a rank 1 leaderboard team that was showcased earlier this week and has seen a lot of play. Perhaps the subscriber knew the team from experience. But also, going from your analysis of the swap, if the opponent had 2 fighter answers, then going Vig on Wiggly might be the safer swap, especially if Annihilape was the 3rd.
As much as I despise team comps with fairies overall, there's just something so satisfying about seeing opponents running Annihilape getting wrecked, because that stupid thing is everywhere. At least there was a reprieve from it during GL Remix. Good lord.
Different ELO ranges have different pokemon being played (it’s super obvious at the start of a season). From what I can see if you are high on the leaderboard, everyone is using meta teams vs in the lower ELO range teams are way more random.
Maybe each year, they can name it the year if the something and Buff those type. EX: Tropic Thunder: you buff grass and electric that year. Year of the dragon: boost dragon and charm Let it burn: buff fire and ice. Shadow realm: buff Ghost, Dark, & poison.
They did that once when Niantic decided to reduce the Stardust that one could get in GBL it was crazy! Every single Content Creator at the time went for it… Niantic could not do much so they reversed that am at the end of that season rewards was Double Stardust! It is possible but not going to happen bc everyone as right now is okay with what they have compared to that time!
Empoleon handily stomps all the dragons except for goodra thunder punch and dragonite superpower. Even those go to empoleon woth shields in the mix. He resist dragon moves. And has neutral drill peck. He easy claps the dragons with energy to spare.
Its not icy wind attack for wigglytuff i wasted 15 charge tm for trying to get that move i think its ice beam pleace correct it before many more waste charged tms lol
Try Lanturn (WG, S, TB), Annihilape (C, NS, SB), Mantine (WA, IB, AA) I dont know why but I have gone 14-1 with it. Am I lucky or am I on to something?
Gotta get your rizz game on fleek if you want to up that 4%. Bust out that drip and the ladies will come in droves. Your wife may banish you to the couch, however.

There is absolutely no shot this is the team he actually climbed with

Raising the roof for the 4% 😂🤣
woooo, shout out to my fellow 4% XD

11:20 against Empoleon, Wiggly and Dragon - I think he knows the team. I've played against the same team 3-4 times since yesterday.

Well one plays with what they have to work with!
Heyyy Yari! Congrats again on Legend
Also hit legend with the wiggly lanturn core on my level 28 alt. It’s very strong. Appreciate the content.
Empoleon - Dragon core is so common this season
Goodra shdow empoleon annihilape is steadily my line since the beginning of the season
How shadow Vic lead sweeps 😂😂😂I play at least 7 every 25 battles so 7 ea day
Dang, I submitted this same exact team but I had vig on the lead and my lanturn has spark.
After ItsAxn's video, I'm curious. If you could overhaul GBL to try and fix it, what would you do? Carte blanche, anything at the wall.

Wiggly is really good in this meta.

Why did he not throw the thunderbolt at the Mantine?
Thanks
Its a sausage fest in here!!!!!

Both. Also luck goes both ways so try to keep confidence in the team right?
18:46 The opponent is triple weak to electric...bad team.
His team doesn’t make much since either am he hit legend!? So I don’t know!
