I mean, it's more useful than that "tent-stake puller tool" that Gerber inexplicably tried to base the entire stake-out platform around. Not that that's saying much...
Sir I agree leatherman is king maybe all high but if I was to lose mine ( which I have modded extensively and have 200$ in building)I would buy a leatherman charge in a heart beat. I have a wave plus with charge s 30 v blade and rebar pliers and and awl in it, i took the scissors out to do.
@@hvacbudget8600 I actually stumbled on this Perwin model at a discount store for super cheap last week. I was just really hard on an old camping multitool I have had for years and couldn't pass this up for under 10 dollars as a replacement. I had a really hard time finding anything out about this tool, honestly I am not a multitool person, but want to have one for roadtrips and camping trips just to have in the bag. All of your points are pretty spot on, and I have watched several of your videos when researching this specific model. I have a couple things to add that may be useful to people like the person above: -There is indeed a diamond file instead of a ruler, which is great. I can't imagine that ruler being useful ever. Perwin has printed a centimeter-only ruler on one side of the outer case, which is equally useless, but i cant think of a time i have ever tried measuring anything without a normal ruler. -The awl/phillips implements are pretty loose, likely easily fixed by tightening the outer bolt. I would very much be interested in finding the adapter for other bits, but don't know how to search for the brand you mentioned on Amazon, likely a spelling issue on my part. -The nylon belt sleeve is nicer than the one from the cheaper model in the video. Its a hard nylon case with a good snap. It also has a really nice plastic belt clip that should fit very securely on a belt. Everything else seems to be the same between these two products. I care the least for the metal belt clip on the tool itself and the wrench, though I will admit i used the wrench the first day to tighten a nut that had come loose so I can't speak too badly about it. I don't think the minor differences between the two brands makes up for what would be a 20-25 dollar difference though. All said, its a decent multitool ill be happy to have and maybe abuse on future trips.
Im not sure how you really feel about the tools. You say you're "not a huge fan" of the tools, but that leaves a large range of opinions. Are you a big fan, just a fan, you don't like them? Yiu think they're only acceptable. "Not a huge fan" isn't a very informative and doesn't help my buying decision.
So some people may like the inside tools because they are -Locking -it does have a strap cutter -the awl seems ok Those are the positives Negatives. -philips screwdriver seems rather small. -several of the tools are multifunction that sort of limits how good each tool is. I would prefer a full large screwdriver, instead of a strap cutter.
@@hvacbudget8600 I agree with you 100%. Especially the negatives and especially on the size of the screwdriver. Thanks. I'm passing on this one at any price.
Thanks for the honest review. Price came down a little bit, I can see those at $23-25
I hate it when a multi tool has all of its impliments out at once, fanned out, like in this thumbnail. It looks like a disgusting squid.

I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW, I HAVE PLENTY OF FRIENDS IN THE STAKE-PULLING COMMUNITY
Hey! All of us swiss army knife fanboys spend a lot of time imagining that the hook tool is useful!
"Dolphin style scissors"🙄 That wrench looks weak. Otherwise, these LM knockoffs are getting pretty nice.
Have you tried the MIAOKE Multitool 23 in 1?
No. It looks very similar to a renamed Perwin.
Any comment about the black plastic lock tabs?
I haven't heard much good or bad about this tool yet. I personally find tools like the Wave clones more appealing.
Where can we get wholesale purchase?
amzn.to/47jSGWW
It isnt any "new tool". It is known for a long time since 2021 and its manufacturer is GHK.
I will stick to one of my leatherman's. 😅
I just ordered one of these of Alibaba for under $10. A wave ON SALE is $99. Can literally get 10 of these for 1 Leatherman. Insane.
Don't cut yourself buddy

I think the diamond file would be nice to have but it's not a deal breaker for me since it's so much cheaper without it.

@@LymanPhillips Right now the Flissa style Wave clones and the Diacamping DL30 Surge Clones are some of the best budget tools out there I think.
I've been eyeing the Diacamping tool for the next Ali sale. I think the 1/4 inch holder is a gamechanger. Thanks for the confirmation.
