It really depends on what you want to do with that photo.. If you are only going to see it on your phone and at no cost move it to anywhere else, then it could be in any format it wont matter. But if you're going to use it to send to someone, attach as an email or even transfer to laptop to make a a little video out of it .. Best of luck doing that in HEIC format.. jpeg is a universal standard and heic is not. It shouldn't take much of thought to understand why you need to switch to jpg.

This way you retain HDR and 10 bit colors on all the other files and compromise on the ones you are trying to export for the older system.

I have been using an Iphone Xs since launch and it has been working great but after Ios 16 update the camera has been acting up. First, it lost focus on 1x, was still workable as close range focus was fine for Upi and all, untill the latest 16.5.1, now it just shows a complete black screen, 2x works fine but sometimes 2x also blacks out, a restart fixes 2x but 1x is permanently dead I guess. Trust me its all with the iOS, pushing too hard on me to buy a new model and I even took it to the service and they also claimed that the entire camera unit will be replaced (while I know that this is a software thing.)
