    I'm a 16 year old who just got into sim racing. I bought the PXN V10 about 3 weeks ago, and my friend has a logitech g29. Netherless, the pxn will have a much stronger and violent ffb, while logitech's ffb will feel more smoother and natural, but very underwhelming.
    The distance travel of the pedals is very good for the pxn, while the logitech's pedals have short travel, but stronger springs.
    The logitech def has a more quality feel, but while driving, the pxn makes things feel more alive.
    Both are very good wheels, in different ways. I am enjoying my PXN V10 so much rn.

      Which of the two (V10 vs G29) has smoother steering? As I only play truck sims I'm more concerned with the smoothness of the steering instead of the feedback. My current wheel feels very "crunchy" when I make big turns that involves spinning the wheel a few times.

    PXN V10, looks like a cool affordable wheel and perfect for people that want anything that will work with multiple systems. I bought a V9 last month and t works with everything...PC, XBox, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. I love the app, makes it super easy to adjust on the fly. Wheel is comparable to Logitech and a great deal. Only wheel I've seen with an app that lets you quickly remap buttons, adjust wheel rotation, vibration and sensitivity settings and then save profiles for each game on all the systems including Nintendo Switch. The H-pattern shifter is equal to Logitech driving force shifter but includes a hi/low range, and a parking break (only shifter I have seen with these features). The pedals are the weak point, they are light with little resistance.

      @@elbowsout6301 I've owned the PXN V9 and its okay for the price, lacks FFB and like you said the pedals are very weak. But outside of that, everything else is pretty smooth (The pedals wear out quickly depending on how often you use it, someone told me it took a month for them but for me it was almost 6 before I started having issues with it.)

    My G27 is still going strong, but I'm always on the lookout for a potential upgrade. This looks good, although the pedals seem a bit lacking, and I wish I could find an H-shifter than could also be switched over to a spring-loaded sequential shifter. Sometimes I think I should bite the bullet and put together a Fanatec system, but now that MSFS has added helicopters, I want a collective/cyclic/rudder combo, which is $1600+ by itself (and that's a relatively "low-cost" rig). Ugh. First world problems. lol

    PXN V10
    This looks like it would be the perfect wheel for my "portable" pedestal arcade controls I am working on with my son. It is going to be an all-in-one pedestal style control panel with 2x 8-button controls, 2x 6-buton, a spinner, a roller ball, 2 lightguns and 2 flight sticks (think afterburner) and a pinball plunger and flipper buttons for visual pinball. This would be mounted to a board that would hook onto the edge of the pedestal with the pedals slightly recessed into the cabinet as I intend for this to be used in the stand up config like it used to be in the 80s and 90s (remember Crus'n USA?)
    I was trying to find a different branded wheel, as in different from thrustmaster and logitech that is inexpensive but not cheaply made. The selling point for me is the 270 or 900 degree rotation switch. I like that and the fact that there isn't added bloatware needed just to use and configure it. I am going to build the pc into the base of the podium, it will be portable cause I am going to put wheels on the back like on a dolly, wheel it up to a wall mounted TV, hook up the power to the floor mounted receptacle and hook up the HDMI, so it will be completely self contained. Sorry for waffling on about this but your video has helped me in the layout of this pedestal.

    How is the noise during force feedback? The G29 has really loud clanking noise from the gear system. How about this?
    Also the pedals and shifter are advertised to have Hall effect sensor as oppose to G29's potentiometer, and can basically last forever. Can you confirm this?

    • @dansimrgcompare2780
      @dansimrgcompare2780 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its quieter, the motor base isn't hollow and is filled inside, so it won't make that plastic shaking noise as much as the hollow g29 does

    • @jimmydesouza4375
      @jimmydesouza4375 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hall effect sensors don't last forever, that's a wierd marketing trick. The calibration drifts over time which normally means you have to open it up and readjust the magnets relative positions. Not difficult, but it means you have to eventually do some work on it the same as you have to with a potentiometer.

      @studentuitm888 I use mine on American Truck Simulator, need for speed games and NASCAR. I have used it on a few of the gaming emulators I have on my pc for the Game Cube and WII. If you can set the wheel and pedals up in an options menu in game then you should be able to use it. If it is compatible with the game, it will show up in the options when choosing your controls and mapping of controllers. As long as you can map the pedals, shifter and wheel, you can use it for manual, semi-manual and automatic transmissions. If the game you try to use it with does not recognize the pxn v9, you can't use it. Most games will either say the name of the wheel that you are trying to use or it will have a pic of a wheel, pedals... something to that effect. All games are different and some won't recognize the v9 but they will recognize the v10 and other brands. Keep in mind that the pnxv9 came out just a handful of years ago so some older games won't recognize it. I hope this helps you. I will say that the v9 is a good starter wheel set but if you can spend the few extra dollars, I would recommend you getting the v10 because it is a better quality product.

    Sadly the cheaper sensors in things like this is where they really fall flat, be it steering wheels, joysticks or controllers.
    I think when reviewing them its important to show that, how precise it is, response times and ability to hold position, depending how bad it is you could find they bounce all over the place when trying to hold position e.g 55% throttle position or 180 degree steering position.
    A simple xinput program or callabration tool should show this.

I will in a way be forced to get a new pc next year and as xbox is done in the current gen I'll probably focus on a wheel to pc with ps5 being secondary. What about changing the wheel for a larger wheel? I play a lot of Euro truck and I find driving with the tiny wheels supplied with all these kit's weird. You don't need to add as much steering input with a larger wheel. All these companies put too much emphasis on catering for racing games. The only thing they add is the 900° which is imperative. If you want to fly, you can buy joysticks from a fighter jet to a 747 and from a Boeing to a cesena, but nothing for us lorry or bus drivers for that matter. I did fit a steering wheel from a Daf truck to my Logitech G27, but the motors didn't ljke the weight, but I still drive with a larger wheel, not to mention the real indicator/wiper stalk kit from obokidly which I doubt would fit this wheel base. I'm going to stick with logitech, perhaps upgrading to the G923 in the hope scs software or logitech adds trueforce.

    • @takomusic1
      @takomusic1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      g923 isn't much better than g27. G27 and G29 have the same motor, they only have other rims. G923 is a G29 with a bit better motor. Buying G923 after using G27 is probably a waste of time and money, and if you really want to upgrade, buy a T300.

    • @jasonnicholas3722
      @jasonnicholas3722 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@takomusic1 Thank you for the info. From what I understand, the G923 is just the new version of the G29 and G920 with their new true force technology. Unfortunately few games support true force at the moment, but that won't be the case forever. For now, the only difference is the price. The G923 is only £20 dearer for the ps version and £40 for xbox, but the gear shifter for the Thrustmaster is a lot more expensive than the £37 price tag for the logitech shifter. For racing I could understand paying the extra, but I only play Euro truck sim 2 and I'm not sure how the bmw E36 cluster I use on my sim rig would work with the larger base on the T300. I'm still torn between the 2.

    • @takomusic1
      @takomusic1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jasonnicholas3722 True Force isn't worth upgrading, it's just G29 Force Feedback but a little bit better. The biggest change is in the motors, but they are still not that good.
      Also there is a cheap adapter that makes logitech shifter a usb device, works with every game on pc, never had problems with it. I have a T300 and T3PA PRO pedals, but I still use logitech shifter, just with an adapter, as I don't even use it much.

    • @takomusic1
      @takomusic1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jasonnicholas3722 If I were you I would buy T300, there are a lot of mods to it, I'm sure you will be able to mod it in a way you like. I didn't change anything, but my friend did, and he was amazed how much mods there were on the internet to buy. He has a custom rim, magnetic paddles and even working blinkers (because he sometimes plays games like ETS).
