I always liked the talking engines and how Learning Curve and Mattel were still able to put sounds into the models despite the small size! I have a Talking Gordon & Spencer from 2010, but neither of them work anymore, but Diesel 10 still does!
I never knew adventures and late take n play engines kept the same shape, as a collector, this is huge to me. Thank you so much for this informative video. Worth subscribing for this
I did have the UK versions of Edward, Gordon, James, Percy, Toby, Rosie, Spencer and Diesel, but Diesel was spelt Deisel. I especially did have a US Talking Toby which I did get from America in 2010. I did get the UK version of Henry back in Christmas 2022. I think I did get the UK version of Thomas in 2023. I did receive a US Henry and three US Rosie’s, but I just do want UK ones now.
fun fact: if u hold the button on the adventure talking charaters for a bit, u get to hear a new voice line from them! theywere for the themed ranged adventure ones.
Does anyone know if any of the talking diecast engines from 2008-2010 are rare? I’m just curious because I don’t think I’ll have my entire Thomas collection much longer and I’m trying to decide what’s worth holding onto. from 08 I have Thomas and James, and from 2010, I have Thomas, James, Percy, Percy at the diesel Works, Emily, Henry, Edward, diesel, Paxton, and Spencer. I have some of the ones from 2014 as well, but I don’t think they’re very rare.
It is funny since I own basically engines 2 - 6 (including Emily) In the 2010 Talking Version I also Think percy’s talking model is kinda off with the Wheels being so apart from eachother, I get it was to Store the batteries, but it still looks off
I just wanted to say that I have a talking Thomas with a CGI face from 2014 I think but instead of talking it makes puffing noises I haven’t seen a review on that Thomas he also has the two way magnets I have no idea where I got it does anyone have information on this
@ I did have a Take-n-Play Eastern-European Gordon and James which both did make whistle sounds when you do press the buttons and chugging sound effects when you do move them. The Eastern-European James is now on Vinted! Recently, I did have an Eastern-European Thomas!

I love how the talking engines had lamps that was pretty neat as the regular models lacked lamps
I always remember I use to have that 2010 Talking Spencer as a kid, took it to take metro, and even took it to McDonald.
Ahh, those good old days ~~~
Same with some of my other Talking engines in McDonald’s. Today is 2010 James.

I used to have the US versions of James and Diesel, since I live in North America.
That was a great video, I give it a 12/10

The lights and sounds engines where made for the great discovery 😺
Also imagine other talking engines made like idk variants or more
They weren't made for The Great Discovery. A Lights and Sounds set was made based on th4e film but not the whole Lights and Sounds range.
I use to own a take along talking Percy but I can’t find it

The fact l own the first version of the talking engines (only Rosie) shocks me
Is it weird that every take n play toby i have are all talking

The one you have is the international version which is sound effects only! :)
@@portablethomas that would explain it since I’m italian and it’s my league I only use English in comments
Thanks man for the info

I have a lot of the take and play talking engines i don’t know why but I guess I liked how they made sounds
I have a talking toby & percy but i removed the wires back in 2020
Talking Thomas The Tank Engine
I have a lot of these from the dumb magnet era. Guess I just liked how they made the cab less squished
Shut up you meanie the magnet series is the best I actually own some of the talking engines
I prefer the old 2002 - 2010 take along / take n play diecast metal engines bc they got worst over the years.
