  • In this video, I am going to tell you 3 things a covert narcissist may do to frustrate you during a family court proceeding. Make sure you stick around to the end so that you get all three tips
Hey there, if you are returning back to the channel welcome back and for those of you who are watching for the first time welcome to the community. My name is Nasheia and I am a family and estate planning attorney, speaker, author, life coach, and minister.
On this channel, I help Christians navigate custody battles with covert narcissists and help them realize that they do not have to fight the battle alone. This channel is different from other channels in the sense that I share biblical wisdom and make the content easy to digest taking into account the cognitive and emotional effects of narcissistic abuse.
Many times in my practice, I get the frequently asked question, what should I expect when we go to court? What have you seen in other cases?
If you find yourself asking these same questions, then you will find this video helpful when you find yourself representing yourself against the covert narcissist in court. This is important to know because you will have more confidence and less worry going into the court proceeding because you will know what to expect.
With that being said, here are the three things the covert narcissist may do to frustrate you in court
    1) The covert narcissist will lie, so expect it
    2) The covert narcissist may charm the court officials
    3) The covert narcissist may try to cause unnecessary delays
Now that you are aware of what the covert narcissist may do to frustrate you during the family court proceeding you can reduce the impact on your mental health if they do in fact do any of these things.

Hi thank you for your post. What do you suggest when they lie about their income and do not provide financial affidavit for a child support hearing?

Great question! I will address this in an upcoming video but the short answer is that you want to learn the discovery rules in your jurisdiction. I would suggest you contact the local bar association and ask them if there are any self-help clinics in your area that can provide you specific legal advice.
