An Australian bride became an instant legend on her wedding day when, upon discovering her fiancé cheated, she read his incriminating texts at the altar instead of her vows.
The woman, who chose to remain anonymous, told her story to the Australian website Whimn. She found out the truth about her fiancé, nicknamed "Alex" in the piece, the night before her wedding. She and her best friends were kicking it in a fancy hotel room when she received a text from a number she didn't recognize. "I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?” the message read, and with it came screenshots of exchanges between Alex and another woman-some from months before, others just days.
"I wish my GF had half the skills you do," one of the texts read. "I’ve never had this kind of connection before," read another.
"Every word [felt] like a dagger in my heart and my wedding was only hours away," the woman told Whimn reporter Danielle Colley. "How could I cancel when everyone had already traveled to be there and everything was paid for?"
Instead of calling the wedding off, she decided to exact revenge. When the big day came, she threw on her dress, grabbed her bouquet, and walked down the aisle as her friends and family members watched. However, when she reached Alex, she turned to the crowd and revealed there wouldn't be a wedding that day.
“It seems Alex is not who I thought he was," she said before reading all his cheating texts aloud to the people in attendance.

That's a classy wrapup. My first beating was our wedding morning. I was too shocked to act. Needless to say, others followed. Had I not been in shock, I should have made a few phone calls and turned it into a family reunion. I just kept thinking about all those people in travel, and all the food that was prepared and didn't even think I had a third option. Nice catch.

I should have done this when my now ex husband screamed at me during our reception, but I didn't. Our marriage lasted almost 10 years. During this time I learned what a narcissist from hell was all about. I left him and he filed for the divorce. He even lied on the paper work stating that all the marital assets were already divided! I could NOT get a day of work to find an attorney to help me. He took everything and left me with my car, I had just paid off, some of my clothes and a few of my things. How can you tell somebody "I love you" and then treat them like a piece of dirt?!

I married my cheating ex. After my son was born he decided to leave to "sow his wild oats". He had many affairs he wanted to come back. At first said no but after struggling for months I said yes. Things seemed to be fine and we had a second son and were very close to a neighboring couple who had a son the same age. I have heard this story many times from other women who have experienced the same thing. The worst betrayal is when the one you love is having an affair with your best friend. It is unthinkable that someone who knows you well will do something to hurt you but when it's two people you trust the pain is unimaginable.
