I'm Jason, a full-time British Travel Vlogger and TH-camr who's been to 53 countries. I've been travelling around the world full-time since 2017. So far, my trips have taken me to Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.
I have travel series' from many of the world's best (and least) known destinations. I filmed the first vlogs on my channel in the summer of 2016 after spending a year living in China. A proper solo trip around Eastern Europe followed after graduating from University in the summer of 2017, taking me to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. This trip marked the start of my efforts to make a TH-cam full-time job.
After that European trip I went heavily into exploring Asia, visiting India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea and Kazakhstan (seeing me cover a lot of Far East and Southeast Asia in particular).
I have also travelled to North Africa and the Middle East fairly extensively over the last five years, filming videos in Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Israel and Palestine.
To date, I have not yet been to Australasia or South America. Though I am hoping to visit the latter sometime in 2022, along with a first stop in the Caribbean.
I've travelled to North America just once as a TH-camr, visiting Mexico in 2021. Though I have been to both the USA and Canada, this was as a child on family holidays.
In 2022, I took my first trip to Sub Saharan Africa, visiting both Kenya and Tanzania, before making my way to the Middle East, stopping in Dubai on my way to Lebanon.

I have to say I love the Lebanese people , I worked in London for many years and my boss was Lebanese and what a wonderful person he was , used to take us out every Friday to his brothers restaurant for food and got to k ow all his family , truly great people
I'm Lebanese and I lived in Watford for 2 years, and always supported Watford football club. Your profile brought me here
Thank you for saying this 🙏
Lebanon is just another Israeli territory occupied by the Arabs
wait unti u try Syrians
they are the same
I'm going to Lebanon in like 1 week so I'm really excited so I want to watch the video LMAO LMAO
Lebanese people are really kind and courageous. They always face every problem with a smile, I am sure this situation won't last, hopefully they'll find a way out of the crisis.
I am from the Maldives. I lived in Beirut from 1978 thru 1983 (getting myself a degree at the AUB). I was a teenager when I went there, and a very changed early-twenties person when I came back home. From a place that had also become home. Of course, Lebanon is wonderful for its nature, its history, etc. However, for me it is always the people that will remain the miracle that is Lebanon. Lebanon will live, and thrive, and prosper once again. I know. Because I know my Lebanese friends and their hearts and their great spirit and their willpower. Bless you Lebanon. Bless you my friends. Allah y2fadkon! Daiman!
Totally agree. The character and resilience of the Lebanese people has really impressed me.
why did you study at AUB?
@@deathend98it’s an amazing Uni
My brother has lived in Lebanon for 6 years. I finally went there for 2 weeks last year and it was unreal. Best country I’ve ever been to by far.

A beautiful country with beautiful people... Too bad they are in such a difficult situation.
I love Lebanon. I was there in 1972. Love this country 😎❤️
So sad to see the destruction of this beautiful city. The people, customs and food are marvelous! Thanks for sharing!
only parts of the city are destructed, there is a large part that is intact, not broken and functioning.
Heart braking. I lived playing music and teaching bass at the National Conservatory 1995 - 2005. Jason is right - beautiful friendly people. So tragic
Subscribing because Jason took on the dificult task of giving us a feeling of what Lebanon is today as seen by a stranger and he gave us a strong impression. Bravo!
I had the opportunity to visit Beyrouth end of 2019, just before the pandemic and explosion... I really loved this city, Lebanon is such a gorgeous country 🙌🏼 thanks for bringing us there 😊
It really is, and I’m sure it’ll bounce back.
Lebanon is a beautiful country with beautiful civilized people. I went there twice. ✌️
Lebanon is a beautiful country with beautiful civilized people ❤️
Wow! I was born and raised in the South Bronx during the Fort Apache/ Bronx is burning 70's. This is not unlike what I found myself surrounded by growing up.
You’re welcome in your home 😍❤️ you’re gonna love lebanon!!! My beautiful country ❤️ 🇱🇧
looks like a shit hole
Lebanon has been through a lot you can see it through the people’s eyes. I hope things get better for them. Thanks for providing knowledge about the city. I hope you enjoy your travels.
Nice vlog bro with great explain
I live in the USA, and I have also live in Peru, Colombia and Lebanon. Based on my experience nothing compares to Lebanon, the people of Lebanon are very hospitable, not mention the beauty of Lebanon. I am not Lebanese born but, I will always love Lebanon.
For my brothers and sisters in Lebanon. Everyone knows that in Egypt we love your country the way we love our country. ❤️🤲🏻🙏🏻 Lebanon will always remain the Paris of the Middle East no matter what. I am from Alexandria and I see how our streets are similar especially through our revolution back in 2011. And even when I saw how you all drive your cars the way we drive our cars at night without any lights to guide us. I started laughing. Our countries made through a lot. We will be able to make it through this too 🤲🏻❤️🇱🇧🇪🇬
lots of love from Lebanon! As we know, Egypt is known as the mother of the world, Um al dunyah. I am certainly hoping to visit by next summer to see its wonders!
Beautiful country, very kind people and situation is very bad, they are suffering, feeling so sad about them, My soul and my heart stayed there 😢😢😢❤️❤️❤️
Filming in the dark is a remarkable work. Electricity crisis is very hard one and affects daily routine badly. This country looks amazing. Imagine if there is no currency, electricity or other issues like that explosion tragedy, how would this country look like flourishing. You have nicely justified this video by giving relevant information. Awesome work.
Fascinating - so glad to get a look at Beirut. Would like to go there myself someday.
I went to Lebanon 3 years ago just before covid struck worldwide I travelled around for 8 days absolutely loved the place and the people love from UK 🇬🇧🇱🇧
Great. I’m loving it so far as well.
I am from Lebanon... And my favorite country is the UK... It is really the best country in the world... Hope one day I will live there
@@pedro-p3n4v very nice of you to say thank you 🇱🇧🇬🇧
@@Richiegiboy God bless the Queen 🇬🇧🇱🇧
really looking forward to this series. I visited Lebanon in January of 2021 but missed out on a lot because of a two week lockdown that happened. A fascinating country and Lebanese are wonderful people. Any place where you can be climbing ancient ruins on the border with Syria in the morning then eating at a Popeyes on the mediterranean by early evening deserves worldwide praise.
Whatever the situation in lebanon was , lebanon is just out of this world. If you want modernity you can go to (beirut) , if you to party you can go to (beirut , jounieh , byblos , batroun) if you want beaches you can go to ( batroun ,byblos ,chekka) if you want a traditional old experiences and historical sites you can go to ( baalbeck ,tripoli ,saida) if you want nature you can go to ( harissa, jezzine, faraya , mount lebanon in general) and many many more , the beautiful thing in lebanon that its too small to have all these stuff happening in this tiny country. I say it loud , lebanon is the most beautiful country in the arab world. Cant wait to visit soon
Welcome to.my lovely country man. You will enjoy ur time and the greattt food
Fearless... You are absolutely fearless to walk in the complete dark in an unknown place!! It's so great to see someone be honest and sympathetic about a place at the same time!
I went twice to Lebanon and there is security there despite the crisis.
I've never been to Beirut. It must be very exciting to be there. I went to Syria just one year before that terrible war. I was lucky to visit that country before it went under the rubble. Being myself a Spanish man living in South Spain.. I'm very much at home when I'm in any Arab Country. Great Video (as usual 😜).Take care And keep on traveling
not all of syria is destroyed and under rubble, there are a few cities and places where the war never hit anything.
@@greenleaf8226 Glad to hear that. The county is (or was) beautiful and its people very friendly. I had a wonderful time visiting Syria 🚩
Lebanon is way prettier and have more civilized and educated people. I went to both countries, Lebanon was my favorite. I don't know if that has to do with me being a Catholic, since Lebanon is a Christian-president nation with
moderate muslims, with plenty of churches around me, I felt comfortable there more than in Syria.
@@rarepearl4160 Thanks so much for your comment. I used to travel a lot but Covid has put me off of traveling now. I suppose when "the dust is more settled" I'd come back to Airports.. ®️
Are you from Andalucia? I m in love with Al Andalus...Malaga Sevilla Almeria...such a most beautiful cities in the whole world❤
There is only one heroism in the world: to see the world as it is, and to love it. when I watched the end of this video, I believe the future is hopeful! Thank you for sharing! Have a safe journey!
I also agree, I think the future can be really bright for Lebanon. Let’s hope the worst is behind them.
Lebanon is a beautiful country with beautiful civilized people ❤️
we have some great Lebanese restaurants here in London....delicious food. Great video moving about the victims and has made me want to visit Beirut
We walked down many of the same streets. My room was right by that "german sausage" place. Such a phenomenal city, such a beautiful country. I watched your video before I went, and I'm watching it again now that I've returned from there so I can see it with new eyes. Thank you
Welcome to Lebanon, i hope you will visit some of beautiful lebanese villages and see the beautiful lebanese nature and rich culture in these villages.
Welcome to Lebanon, glad to have you here. YNWA 🇱🇧❤
Thank you Jason, for showing Beirut as it is, you’re the best, keep up the good work, God bless you 💐🌹
JAY from California…
i am lebanese and it is a pleasure to see you like the country as times are hard and it helps to feel heard
Looks a great city looking forward to visiting one day
Love Lebanon 🇱🇧 thank you for sharing Lebanon stay strong you did survive so many crises in the past greeting from Algeria 🇩🇿 🌹🌹🌹
I went on my first lebanon trip this last summer and went throughout the whole country where ancestors used to live before immigrating to Mexico
Hey Jason, near the port is the "Statue of the Emigrant." In Veracruz, Mexico, sits an identical one, the "Statue of the Immigrant." You will see it on the highway divider, with Lebanese and Mexican flags side by side. Enjoy Lebanon, it is one of my favorite nations. Go to Tripoli and Baalbek.
There's one in Victoria, Canada too
Good video. Lots of Lebanese restaurants in London especially in the Edgware Road area & quite a few in Uxbridge Road Shepherd's Bush/White City
Great video. It breaks my heart to see the Place des Martyrs. It used to be the heart of the city before the war, the nerve center full of life and activity. Though it never was truly rebuilt after the war, it never looked this depressing. I truly hope Lebanon can get back to its feet.
hey everyone ,
support lebanese people and lebanon by visiting our country !
now its very cheap and u can enjoy a very pretty country full of history and culture xxx
Another gem.I am learning so much from your travels. Happy birthday to your father. Hope to see your family.
All love to our lovely neighbors 🇵🇸🇱🇧💚♥️💚♥️
Good choice of country to visit! Such an important place to visit to highlight the sad situation. Enjoy the food and the warmness of the people 🤞🏼
Haven’t been to my home country and city in 3 years and it breaks my heart to see how it is now in this video because it used to be the most vibrant city and full of life.
My heart aches for lebanese people they deserve so much better. I hope things get better for them soon.
I'm Lebanese living abroad, every time I go to Lebanon to visit my family i try food outside, and every time i get food poisoning, the problem is to do with electricity cuts, sometimes those cuts can be for almost 22 hours a day.. this means food, specifically meat, in fridges and freezers become unhealthy to eat, but most restaurants usually dont get rid of them, they still serve them to customers. so be careful and try not to eat outside when you go
Always admire your work and your sense of adventure ,your videos from place’s I would never imagine visiting are always an eye opener
I'm in Syria & so sad that I cant even recommend you to come here. I live in latakia which is pretty safe & normal, but the problem is on the border. I imagine they would give you much trouble & be really suspicious once they find out you're britanian, just like what happened in Algeria. Good video, good walk, very eerie choice of music, but fitting.
My father is moving to Lebanon next month, and I'll be visiting next summer of 2023
Hello from Iraq, Jason! Welcome back to the Middle East. Hope you are making the most out of your visit to Lebanon. I haven't heard any good news so far with the inflation, gas and power issues. Hope everything goes smooth for you. Stay safe.
I wouldnt say Lebanese restaurants are difficult to come across in the UK or Europe, they're everywhere, no? Lots in Liverpool, Manchester, at least!
Great video and to see you explore more is of a massive help to us as we will be visiting and this was such a surprise to see you out this up cheers 👍
I feel relaxed watching your videos.
Greetings from Egypt 🎀🎀
The Middle East is so underrated
It’s the home of civilization, the home of three major religions, the home of almost all fundamentals of civilization yet it is defined by a couple recent decades of political turmoil
Home of civilizations??? Just thinking 🤔

How sad to see how Beirut is, the darkness every night and lack of power is unbelievable and must be a huge challenge for people. Excellent video as always Jason, you are definitely the best travel vlogger out there for me, even giving me inspiration to travel alone for the first time during the pandemic after I watched your videos. Looking forward to more videos. Peace ✌️
Thank you - happy to hear that!
As a lebanese im glad to see people visit my country🇱🇧🤗
Lebanese food is also quite popular in Brazil, particularly São Paulo. Most Arab restaurants in the city serve a version of Lebanese food, and Lebanese dishes like kibbeh (ground beef and bulgur wheat) and sfiha (flat pies with beef or other toppings) are popular throughout the country. Your videos are always great, thank you for posting them!
Nice intro into Lebanon ! Learned a bunch already 😃. And I might be there in a few days 😎. Looking forward to more vids 👍
We are always comical about everything 😅. I don't know which places you visited in Beirut, but there are much more gems to witness. The clear difference between social classes is obvious, but we all try to enjoy life as much as possible. The thing about lebanese food is that you will always see the variations in the same food between cities and villages here in Lebanon. And next time try out non-Lebanese food in beirut, you'll will find that it will still taste better than the original versions. And pleases try to visit during any of the 4 seasons. I promise you that each season has it's own vibe. Anyways, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. And I hope that you will consider giving us another visit.
Very beautifully presented video nd thanks for sharing detailed information 👍👍Loved this virtual tour of Beirut
I have been subscribed for a couple of years and your TH-cam posts are so good and informative. You must do lots of research. Please keep it up.
I am from INDIA, I love to visit Lebanon
Nice and informative travelogue... I worked for a year in Beirut and loved it. The meal you had at Le Cafe, Mulukhiyah (leaves of the Corchorus olitorius shrub) is one of the most popular dishes in Egypt, as well as in the Levant. It's a healthy meal; some consider it super food.
I just started researching a lot ab9ut Lebanon, cool that you're there!
Algún día tengo que ir a ese bonito País
Yes, those ritzy, downtown areas of Beirut can be too quiet. Zaituna Bay is amazing to walk and eat in the evening. If you go again, go to Borj Hammoud one evening. Just tell your taxi to drop and pick you up in front of Mano Shawarma. It's cheaper there, and people flock there in the evening.
Im Lebanese and appreciate the vid bro much 💕
يارب أرني عظمة قوتك و جبروتك في الظالمين المدمرين للشعوب و البلدان الطيبة
It was a great video presentation and to experience the no lights situation. You gave us the feeling that we would experience if I was there.
Thanks again and have a great day.
oh I love le chef. last time I was there I ate here before I left.. I love the chicken, very tender and fresh and wonderful food.. really love this place. fresh menu and it changes every day.. just a gem
Welcome to Lebanon 🇱🇧❤️
Here from Lebanon 🇱🇧
Very happy to have you visit my beautiful country .. enjoy your stay and don’t miss out of a visit to the Cedars
Amazing video. Thank you for Sharing.
Really nice to see how well the people have been rebuilding rather remarkable with all that has happened with covid akd other issues
Great vlog Jason, would love to know about the 2019 riots, be nice to get different local perspectives! So sad to see the devastation of the shocking explosion.
Please add more videos of Beirut...my bf from there...we never saw in real...but we haven't talking since some days...it's kinda hurtful...yet good to see lebanon ,it reminds him...feeling better ❤️
God bless you...everything will be okay honey🤗🙏

Mate you really need to get out more at home. There are at least 4 Lebanese restuarants in Leeds.
I Luv Beirut!
It is the political system that is complex in Lebanon. The country has been in trauma from the beginning. May Lebanese people achieve peace, liberal independence & prosperity. No doubt it is a stunning Mediterranean city.
Very interesting place
Empty and eerie does sum it up. But, the Syrian shop was certainly a ray of sunshine! What nice people. Looking forward to your next video. Stay safe!
I adore Lebanon ❤❤❤❤❤
I lost my mother in the port explosion...
And that's a good video showing a lot of details welcome to lebanon bro
Cool video, especially the way u project the actual situation in d country...... Hope you'll venture more outside and inside beirut... Lebanon would make anyone feel part of it no matter what ethnicity or religion he comes from.... Hope you'll enjoy u'r stay. Either in d city or on d mountains or even @ d sea side 🥂🥂🥂...
Beirut is a beautiful city, I wish to visit it soon! a beautiful country that was unfortunately a lot destroyed by the war, but I see that it is recovering. greetings from Belgrade/Serbia 👋👍
I just dont understand why every tourist must talk about the wars in lebanon...war only happen in lebanon?!i mean imagine i go to europe exemple germany and i film a video about the city and talk about the ww1 and ww2 that happened in the past of the country....just enjoy the beauty of this country war had happened all over the worlddddd!

We have more Lebanese restaurants in London than Lebanon . Come and try please
🤣🤣🤣 yep we are everywhere
4M in Leb
30M out of Lebanon without counting the non registered as Lebanese and the descends from a woman as they car be registered as so
Known as the Paris of the Middle East, Beirut exudes the same old city charm as the French capital. Well known for fine Lebanese food, it is a place where years of history have been showcased.
maybe it was the Paris of the Middle East back in the late 1960's but definately not for the last 40years... the Arabian Gulf countries like Dubai and Qatar are far more Paris these days
@@greenleaf8226I have been to Dubai and I think lebanon is way better better food nightlife more natural beauty
@@samtannouri3665 nobody can compare to different geographical regions that differ in weather and culture but share a language...
but if either place is being compared to cultural hub in another country( in this case paris) in a far off culturaly completely diverse place then Dubai has more similarity and on offer...that being said, the Lebanese really need to stop with the complex about trying to be connected to France and move on building their own individual identity...
Lebanon was never a colony if France( many wish they were!) and a large % of Lebanese do not speak french, and from those who do a % of them speak it so la...la??😒
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
Come to London, we have plenty of Lebanese restaurants
I live in Lebanon and the electricity is now good it stop going away so the street is always light in it. And the food is like the best in the world.
The apartments from the outside looks kinda bad but from the inside is so cool and nice and cozy. The money situation is not bad, better then USA, but every day or hour if you want, like the amount of money you have to pay on milk will change.
My birthplace! Such an amazing place. You have very good taste! Make sure you get some Kunefeh from Sea Sweet
Thanks for the great video documentary. As always lots of valuable information.
Thank you for the better captions
