Great posting :) I've actually been a Scooby fan since the mid-1990s (however, I was born in December 1984, so I never got to see the show on Saturday Mornings until What's New Scooby-Doo)... On that subject, and maybe someone who was around at the time can enlighten me on this, but did ABC really mess with the Scooby Doo Where Are You? intro and outro? It's probably one of the most iconic themes in cartoon history, and they edited it for the Best of Scooby Doo like that? It just looks and sounds bad...
My user-namesake (and avatar) is in this set! I used it, because the commercial was my "Holy Grail" of commercials. I had it on a tape I had to throw away because it bit the dust from repeated watchings, and that commercial had been stuck in my head for years.
These classic ads on NBC Saturday was brought to you by the Spiderman and Hulk show. At last...two winning Marvel heroes...in the love epic of all time! (Cos once Hulkie sits on Spidey, guess who's "gone with the wind!" "Yo, Shrek, dude! Your wind is as green as the big butt from which it emerged!")
This seems more like 83 at rhe latest to me.. I don't think spiderman and the hulk were airing by 84. And that E.T commercial also, that movie came out in 82. Most of the E.T hype was all in 82/83. By 84 it was on to the next big thing
2:50 They smoke and toke! And bark! They smoke and toke and smoke! And bark! Smoke toke bark! Woof woof woof! (The characters disappear into a puff of smoke) The Itchem and Scratchem... ...and Poochem Blow! (Steal drum solo plays) Note: Poochem died on the way back to her home planet.
As a boy back then, I really thought "POOCHIE for girls" was actively going out of their way to alienate us boys... though I was a pre-teen, so what did I know?!
loved those days....spiderman hulk was great....sat mornings were fun...
Man, Saturday mornings in the 1980s were all about hip hop, fun, and more before social media in the 2010s. : )
WRAL-TV5, and I was ready for American Bandstand to start
12:31 Go-Bots Zod, Cy-Kill & Leader-1 toy commercial
Dream Dancer...she'll dance in a flash!

20:44....scaring myself thinking how Bill Cosby could show up in this ad...

They were great shows, but I'm still baffled at how Bruce Banner's shirt would return back to him unripped when he changed back into his human form...

Did they recycle half of ET Cereal to make Mr. T cereal?

@@jayanxiety $120 on eBay.
When Poochie's commercials aren't seen, everyone should look sad and ask, Where's Poochie?
