    Love the look of Haltech’s iC-7 dash, but aren’t running EFI in your car? Say no more!
    The Haltech Stand-Alone iC-7 “Classic” kit has been designed specifically for carburetted or mechanically injected cars. The “Classic” kit comes with a semi-terminated harness that allows the iC-7 to interface directly with sensors and switches in your vehicle making the iC-7 a truly universal, stand-alone display dash.
    Here is Matt, our resident, self-confessed classic car aficionado, to tell you all about it!

      Hey guys, loving the new dash features, one question though, I run a mechanical injection diesel with pulse sensor for the tach, is the ic7 capable of reading an displaying that?

    I'm not into carbies but I think it's cool that you keep pushing to support whatever people are into.

    I want this so bad. This would be perfect for my fox mustang. I'm going blow through so the upgrades for the efi stuff may actually come in handy. I'm still building the suspension but I'm almost done. Next is a Haltech and then the bigger turbo engine. I love this product.

    Absolutely love this! I've got an LS swapped car (Volvo 240) which I'm running with a standard LS1 PCM for now due to budget limitations, but I'm also having challenges getting the standard cluster to work due to several other changes performed along the way. This allows me to step up to a functional iC-7 dash now, fix those problems and enjoy the car while I save up some more money for the eventual upgrade to a Haltech Elite down the track! Great work guys!

    Any way of adding extra inputs? Like extra temp and pressure sensors standalone without an ecu?
    I see the I/O expanders but the 4 dpo/dpi are useless to me for my application.

  • @magnetic0314
    @magnetic0314 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Interesting they're marketing it just towards Carby or mechanically injected cars. Realistically you could use this on any vehicle using a factory ecu, such as a track hack on stock power where you want to have all your vitals right in front of you

    • @haltech

    nice, this should also have canbus so if you do have a standalone later down you could just use a single canbus for all the data or connect it like how they work with standalones

    • @andersjjensen

      It does have a canbus connector right above the 34pin.

    • @pug2o5

      @@andersjjensen thats actually not the canbus connector. That's M5 connector for the USB lead for programming the dash. The canbus connection is within the 34 pin connector :) (Pins A1 & A2 to be exact)

    Quick question: May I use the iC-7 as an input expander? Is the info from the sensors connected to the iC-7 broadcasted over Can?

    • @haltech
      @haltech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not at the moment, but that is something that may come in future releases.

  • @danielbyrne9686
    @danielbyrne9686 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Can more inputs be added? (Possible future software update) or would that require a hardware change?
    Also, if I wanted to run a dash on a car with a factory ecu, could I piggy back off the standard sensors (GM) or would I have to run stand alone sensors?

    • @danielbyrne9686
      @danielbyrne9686 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Matt Wright Thanks Matt. With the hurdles you mentioned for adding the IO expander, are they likely to a software or hardware change if they are sorted? I’m probably not looking to buy an another ecu as it blows the cost out for what I trying to achieve. Also, does the fuel level use one of the inputs or is it a separate thing?

  • @tommi6

    Will you be releasing an updated elite ecu CAN protocol to allow the haltech tpms data to be used with other brands of loggers (AIM particularly)?

    • @haltech

    • @f1hotrod527
      @f1hotrod527 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Matt Wright I will use the handbrake method😄. I think my father said that there was a guy in the USA in the 60’s or 70’s that had an electric drag car that used a chord that unraveled as he went down the track. I guess back then insane mode required an extension chord. Yes your tire pressure system is awesome like most other Haltech products.
