When you are going to cut metal you need the cutting wheel on it .the wheel you have on it is for grinding .
For real
The button at the top is to lock the grinder from spinning whilst tightening the disc
That button "right there" at 3:52
I had a lot of old pipes and rebar to cut up and from what I read th-cam.com/users/postUgkxPDBfLu68o58Aw85O_J-zIFfjJARBhp-3 this would be the tool for the job. Since I had never used one, I watched a couple of youtube videos and I'm so glad I did. Some really good safety tips, which I followed, and this tool did a splendid job. One good thing to know is the weight of the tool puts just about the right amount of pressure on the metal I was cutting, so I didn't have to use a lot of pressure, which is more likely to jam the tool. It made fast work of my job.
This video was great for people who need to take a close look at the grinder before purchasing but that's were it should have ended, the guy doing the video must of had great intentions put he sure don't know diddly squat about power tools and the harm they can do in the hands of careless people,he went to work with the grinder without properly tightening that disc simply because he didn't know what the spindle lock is for or how to use it,PLEASE READ THE OPERATORS MANUAL don't ever presume to know it all,no need for you to get hurt on account of nothing.
You have to read the manual before using the tool and before making the video. You don't even know what the lock button is for.
That was killing me too
This says unboxing though... I like the fresh approach.
That’s right 😂😂😂
You have to read the instructions first you dummy 😂😂😂😂😂
Actually, that top nut that is tightened that holds the cutting blade down only goes in that direction with that thick blade that comes in the box/future thick blades. For thinner blades, it goes on the opposite way. Flat side down. Interesting.
Thank You. I bought a 60 grit flap disc and it felt loose putting the nut on the same way as the disc that came with the machine.
PurpleMonster bro you are the man for this comment!! I thought my angle grinder was faulty because I bought a grinding wheel but it wouldn’t tighten properly. I turned the top nut around and it’s fine. You’re a legend 👍
Hi thanks for the video. I was fighting with the turn on and off button. Thanks man
That button is for you to push and hold when you are fighting the grinding wheel.
A real mans favorite tools: an angle grinder and a sledge hammer! Brings out the Viking berserker in all of us....
I used mine w/ a diamond blade to cut concrete block. Motor is just strong enough.
Nice hot work over the paints also.
That in not a cutting disk you got on there
Can i cut 1/4' inch wood panels using this angle grinder? Also, Can i use the same disc to cutting wood panel? Ty
Did you say you got it at walmart .what are they saleing for .
I want to use this to take paint off a concrete floor. Can I take the shield off and buy a disk so it will lay flat?
Thats what I’m doing too
That’s a grinding wheel not a cutting wheel.
Layton Pratt It cuts
That is not a cutting disc my Friend.. That is clearly a grinding disc.. be very careful when choosing disc type for the application..
Do you know of you can put a polishing head on it to polish granite
hi
i bought ryobi angel grinder and when start cut it it stop then need to press switch agian for it to work
does it have some saftey switch or its damaged?
Is this worth 40$ on marketplace ??
Would but better if u use a cutting disk
be careful that is not a cutting disk, you could ask on home depot for one, but anyway it´s your tool do whatever you want with it
Sadly, most of the employees at Home Depot know less about tools than my wife.
You kinda focused on everything except the adjustment of the guard!
Hello, can a cutting wheel be used with a Ryobi drill?
Yes, I installed one!
Peter von Panda Thank you for the response. Could you please give me the product name?
Bro that wheel isnt for cutting. Its more of a grinding wheel
Cutting with a grinding disc??
Hmmmm
Farhan was here
Guess it's the first time you have access to any power tool
This video should be taken down or renamed “what NOT to do with an angle grinder”.
Reeeobi
I wouldn't recommend this brand.
If you're using it just to hit some slag off why not.
Any brand beside this Chinese crap.
But a Budget is Budget.. but you pay for what u get
Maybe you should read the instructions before making a video....ya think? Try harder!
This guy needs to go to baking cakes or something. Power tools aren’t your thing. Not even the bottom brands. Get back to sweets
