A few months late, but I finally got my MSI RTX 3070 Gaming X Trio and love it! I love how quiet it is and fits perfectly in my SFF build
My temperature went from 64°C to 68°C a week later! Is this normal? Everyone has this card cold, but I don’t (

I just bought this beauty, and I personally love the change to black. Black just combines with any setup. I'm using a 1080Ti Gaming X, now, and it's the only device with red accents, so this 3070 will also improve my setup in the aesthetics department.

@@papijeffy5656 it's bloody good, still waiting for my 5600x to be delivered so it's getting bottle necked like crazy by my 6600k but I've done some gpu benchmarks and it's really impressed me. Very pleased with it

I thought I was going to have to use a hammer to fit my MSI 3080 in my NZXT H510 case but it did fit. The 3070 looks to be the same size so I can see where many people with smaller cases will have issues getting one squeezed into them.

I’m disappointed they did away with the twin frozr design. Had a gtx 970 with that cooler and I loved the design. Went great with my red/black themed build.

Graphene infused plastic is better than metal Timmy. As a matter of fact even at low estimates it’s 10x better thermal conductivity.
What? Power limit at 104%? Gonna stick to Strix or iGame Vulcan X if there’s a power limit issue with this one. Even Zotac twin edge can do 109% power limit.

I was never MSI fan of anything. My friend lent me his 1070ti MSI with the "frozR". Very quiet and cool running card. It mined for a few months and did some gaming, I couldn't hear the card over my system fans. I love the wide yet slim design of the cooler.

The reason you're having fan control problems is because it's being hijacked by MSI own software that you used to control the RGB. You'll have to shut that down to get it to work.
From 2080 super I can't be happier I was able to grab a 5month old 3070 MSI for $600 AUD the guy changed his mind to head to Mac as a web developer
MSI uses the X as their OC identifier so there is the MSI RTX 3070 Gaming Trio that is not OCd then there is the MSI RTX 3070 Gaming X Trio which is the OC one.
i loved the 2000 series design from msi with the brushed stainless steel look, i was hoping we would see it again

This was the card I was able to get up here in North Western Canada. I'll just say what you said, if it is the one you get you for sure aren't going to be disappointed. I love it! A great upgrade from my 1660ti
As someone making the conversion to pc...finally. This is the card I went with matched with a ryzen 5 5600x. This review was encouraging. Nice work, subscribed.

Scored this card on the Newegg Shuffle. Paring it with a B550 MB, ryzen 5600x, and 32gigs of 3200hz ram. Can't wait for them all to come in!!!

@@heyimkayo3230 finished my build and no stuttering on my end. Ram tuned to 3200gz and solid frame rate of 240fps on Overwatch at max setting.
Lost Ark had a little dip when launched and got to the character creation menu, but over all solid performance.
@@Daecoth yea i think my 3070 is somehow bottlenecking itself because i only ever get 100 fps on 1080p on most games with gpu never going over 30%.

Always enjoy the content man. Appreciate the effort put it and the quality of it. Personally, I wouldn't worry about day one product reviews. My favorite videos of yours were always the obscure products and the custom projects. The first video of yours I watched was the 2400g Xbox 360 you put together, and that had me hooked. Passion projects are far more fun to watch than the standard reviews everyone does, and I'm sure they are more fun to produce. And lest we forget about the Newb Plebs and their delusional marketing attempts.
I managed to get a founders edition 3070 today. They had stock for at least 20+ minutes :o, upgrading from a GTX 970.

It's nice, but I rather see a MSI Gaming X of BIG Navi.
Hopefully they continue the same Gaming X design they did for the first gen Navi. The shroud look of those, look like an updated version of the classic TwinFrozr.

oh no the little smidgen sound is not the aio, is at least one of those fans they put in the gaming series which are always faulty. If someone with a gaming trio card doesn't have at least one faulty fan can be considered veeeery lucky. Not a big deal? well the selling point of this card vs asus or other models is how silent is supposed to be...🤦♂ edit: that being said if wasn't for the faulty rattling fans, I have the 3080 12gb Z trio and it performs like a charm, has room to OC and the overall quality of the card and boxing is very good 👍
I have a 1080 right now and im assuming the graphics will look better with this card. I really only care about playing VR games. Should i get this?
I may be a bit biased, but I have somewhat of a soft spot for MSI, my first gaming rig had an MSI GTX 1050ti in it, I have used them ever since.
Graphene has a higher thermal conductivity than either aluminium or copper, it's also quite strong. I imagine that's why they're using on their backplate.
What case is that in rn?

If it's really Graphene that is more conductive than metal so why would you want aluminum backplate?

What's with the new gen cards slacking at lower res? I'm in the higher refresh camp and mainly interested in keeping graphically demanding games above 120FPS. I run 1080p. My use case is pushing up against the limits of my 2080S. Hopefully next gen won't leave performance on the table for lower-res gaming.

Hi, I got 120mhz core clock and 1000mhz memory clock with no issues. playing games!
cooler with tubes slightly higher than the block will cause air bubbles easily to form in the waterblock.... if you can try to fit the rad tubes at the lowest point possible while still maintaining the position of the radiator as high as it will go (if you're using it as a front mounted rad).....otherwise don't be surprised when airbubles will shorten that waterblocks lifestyle...but hey....physics and science don't matter lols

9:58 perf/watt seems the same as the 2080 Ti. 250-260W for the same performance. Nvidia really had to push Ampere.
