Chocolate has gone up massively in Australia and we have shrink flation on top of that. Confectionery is really expensive here now. I bought Nestle chocolate yesterday 180g and the full price is $7. Cadbury is a little more expensive and the bars have shrunk to170g. I only buy in the sales. I refuse to.pay that. The cost of international choccy there was eye watering! And i thought the Indonesian choccy prices were fantastic. And there is such a good range of products. Very interesting Gary. Nearly fell off my chair though when i saw the price of the American confectionery. Blimey, would anyone pay that!. Great informative video. Take care.
Omg wow Bali people are paying that much for chocolate and sweets far out I can’t believe how expensive it is 😮
@@sharlenephillips9254 is it that bad😂
Gary, are there any sweets and chocolates that you miss living in Bali or any products really.I've been in Australia for decades but am English too and still miss certain things we can't get here. When or if you go home to visit, do you bring anything back. Just a fun question 😊
@@mushy7975 i don't really eat to much chocolate but if i do I like to try the Bali artisan chocolate, I am usually influenced to buy because the packaging design is so beautiful but usually the chocolate does not taste to great. I have silver queen, beng beng & cadbury as standard chocolate in Bali. If going home i usually take coffee for family.
Thank you for quick reply. My hubby and I said that exact same thing, that the packaging is so beautiful. Yes, although some of that chocolate is good for you, it is a bit strong.,I tried the 70%. No, not for me either. Coffee is a great gift. I'm going to do that too, thanks to your past video. Thank you for taking the time to chat. 😊
Hi Gary, the imported chocolate bars tend to be fairly dear in Bali, when we were there the other week we noticed that the Cadbury chocolate was made in Malaysia and is quite different from Australia and very different from UK. My best advice for tourists is to give the Indonesian chocolates and confectionery a go, you're only there for a relatively short time so why not try something new. We found some of the local products really good and pretty cheap.
