Why would that be weird since they will have products and services you dont have back home and you want, to try but to be honest this places are too white wash i prefer the open or farmers markets with the local population not to mention is cheaper and far more intesresting than this.
It's quite complete with the daily necessities at Bintang supermarket, btw...on the Tea shelf, there's Ginger Tea...I like drinking it to freshen my throat. Thank you Gary for the update and review.
Great video Gary. I wish I had seen this before I spent over $30 AUD on mosquito repellent for our trip. I'll be bringing home some of those plug in ones too. Woken up with four bites this morning that are itching like crazy. Thanks for all the work you do. I really enjoy watching.
Another great vlog again Gary ! Big thumbs up to you for concentrating on the "lady products" too😅. Took my hubby over 10 yrs of marriage before he'd pick anything like that up for me 😂

I don't really know what you are comparing the prices to. I have lived in Bali 12 years so the prices are normal to me🙂. Import foods are usually high price if Indonesian then I think reasonable prices.
Anyone going to Bali from Australia. I need those Bali flu tablets. Decolgen with 12 in a strip. I need 10 strips and will pay top dollar. They are about $1.20 for each strip but willing to pay a lot more… these are the only flu tablets that work in winter where we live. Name your price
A few oligarchs controls Indonesian supermarkets. Different brands to make it look diverse but same owners. Any imported items are extremely expensive. Fruits and vegetables are also in general very expensive. Even in the cold north you find cheaper banana!
@@PIL-t3x yes many imported brands can be expensive in Bali, fruits and vegetables are only expensive if you buy the import, locally grown are reasonable price.
Do you think this supermarket is a bit more expensive than you might find elsewhere because it's in Seminyak? I know that a lot of the stuff you've shown is imported, but some stuff isn't any cheaper than at home, things I didn't expect like bread and soy milk
@@soundtravels4348 I don't really know the prices of International countries products anymore therefore I have nothing to compare the prices with.supermarkets are similar prices, Bintang & grand lucky supermarkets stock a wide variety of international import products that do have a premium price due to the high tax added on all imported products. There are Many different kinds of bread available from cheap to expensive. I have V soy milk personally i pay around 35,000 for 1ltr, I don't know if this is expensive or not?
@balibygary9718 Thanks for the extra info 😊 35k isn't expensive, but it's the same I pay in New Zealand so it's not cheap, it's just good to know as I'm planning to spend 3 months there in the next couple of years
Gojek has go food, go mart, go shop, go send you can pretty much use the app for everything. I have never personally used the app for groceries but I use all the time to order food. It's a fabulous service.
Weird as it may sound, I love visiting supermarkets when overseas... checking out all the different products and prices. Thanks Gary!
🤣😂 it's good to have an idea of products available and prices🙂

I was expecting Bali to be inexpensive. These prices are all higher than in North America. I’m in Bali now and find it very expensive.

9:35 tomato is so expensive, 42k per kilo, way more expensive than in Japan😂
Import tomato are expensive if local grown tomato very cheap. I don't buy fruit or vegetables from the supermarket
👍👍👍
Thanks adam
not that cheap
Many import products in Bali are expensive, if you stick to local foods then I believe bali is cheap.
It would be so much of a better video without you saying what everything is in a monotone english tone. We can clearly see what it is...
