The "sand towel" is called a fouta in Tunisia, the shark tank people did not invented something new. They were used traditionnally in hammam bath. I used these towels in my house year round, i prefer them to regular towels. They are soft and they dry quickly and they take less space in your drawers and in the washing machine. You can use an XXL as a light blanket in summer.
I bought one of those turkish towels from a vendor one time, and it didn't cost me $48. The shark tank towels are really nothing special as compared to other turkish towels. I use mine at a bath towel though. It doesn't feel like it, but it does a good job of drying you off, and it dries off fairly quickly itself. It is also supposed to get better the more you wash it though. As far as the cup holders, I kind of wish they were a little insulated. You're still surrounding a cold drink in hot sand, but I guess it's better than nothing.
I have one of those Turkish towels, and I LOVE it. It’s bigger and lighter, and sand doesn’t stick to it nearly as badly, and it dries faster. It’s also nice and light so you can put it on like a scarf if you’re baking in the sun. So far mine has lasted very well, (7 years or so) and it was cheaper than a regular towel when I bought it.
I replaced my beach towels with Sand Cloud a few years ago. I live at the beach. The biggest win for me was not having any sand build up in the washer or dryer. I also keep baby powder in my beach bag. I hate putting on shoes with sand on my feet. The other stuff is ok, but the towels are worth it!

I'm thankful for these quick reviews for themed items because honestly they don't need to be so in depth if it's meant to just be sand free and a cup holder. Good stuff.

Being a kid I'd stay in rhe water until I was told we were going home so picking up the towel trying to dry off, there was sand everywhere.

They're very absorbent and dry very quickly, plus they take up less space on my shelf. I too would have liked to have seen how well that little ball worked after it had been washed clean and reused. hey my side of town! we bring a soft cooler for the beach, easy to rinse the sand out, one of those hydroflask ones keeps the drink cool and the outside you can rinse off, so aside from the towel, you don't need any of the other stuff. Those Nomadix towels are pretty good for the beach too if you need a towel.
I’m pretty sure that sand screens supposed to be rubbed on your body to prevent sand from wind and stuff off you while laying on the beach, hence the name “sand screen” otherwise it should be named “sand towel”. The way it was used seemed so painfully pointless a rag or towel would do just as good a job.
I actually have a sand cloud towel. I've had it for a couple years. It's held up really well. And while I can't speak for the sand function (as I've never used it at a beach), I can say that it is pretty absorbent but it doesn't take that long to dry. I have soaked that thing, and it has never once failed to dry or smelled funky or anything. It's never stayed damp for more than a couple hours (and that was only when it was absolutely soaked through). So it's been very handy and useful to me. The only two complaints that I would really give it, is the fact that the first couple times you wash it, it does run/bleed. So, make sure to wash it by itself. Also, I'm a bigger guy and in retrospect, I should have gotten their XL model or whatever it's called for a little bit more. But worse comes to worse, I'll just use my standard one as a hair towel and then buy the bigger one for my body. All in all, it is by far the best towel that I have ever used. Yeah, it's a bit pricey but I personally think it's worth it.
Hey I think the towel let’s the sand go THROUGH it. So if sand gets on it you don’t need to get up. Just rub the sand with your hand and it will go away. But sand can’t go through it from underneath. It is like a one way valve.
Usually when my family goes to the beach we bring a couple big bottles of fizzy drink and some cups but it’s hard to find somewhere you can safely put the cup down. You basically have to completely finish your drink before you get up to play or go in the water and you also have to put the cup back in a bag so sand does get inside them. So the cup holders seem like they would be really great for my family. I hope I can find some in New Zealand so I don’t have to pay absurd shipping costs.

For a very cheap sand bag, fill a white handkerchief with the baby powder. Rubber band it shut. You now have a sand bag for about $2 to $3 dollars. I’m in my 60s, so this tells you how many decades ago this was used. I still use it because it works. It also makes it easy to apply powder to your back that you can’t reach.

Sand cloud towel, other than the size not alot to recommend it to me, especially not at the asking price. Beach cup Holders : They work but I am pretty sure i have stuff around the house that would work as well or nearly so. anti microbial towel: this i could see myself using Sand screen sand removal bag : I doubt i would use this as i don't having a little sand on me when i leave the beach as i shower right when i get home. Bag Cleaning ball: It works i'd use it but i suspect is some cases there would be more stuff than it could pick up.
I always used my fist to just "drill" into the sand a bit. Then I'd put my drink in the hole. The cool sand (under the hot top layer) always helps to keep my drink cool, too.
A'ight frequent beach guy, gonna review em one by one, feel free to respond. 1. Sand Cloud: Not bad but wonder what the cost is because there are plenty blankets made with materials that repel sand and like he even said, softness/comfort isn't really an issue. Plus, if you are bringing that or another blanket, you are reserving your towel for it's intended purpose anyway, to dry you (or bring a shammy to save space). 2. Cupholders: Sand gets everywhere, might as well make a cupholder in the sand anyway. I usually dig my own reclining chair in the sand anyway. I like the stable design but anyone bringing this probably already brings a chair with cupholders. (sand flying from Africa to S. America benefits the ecosystem there for example). Ice cubes is an interesting idea but again, they probably bring their own insulated mug as most common ahem, drinks, are disguised on most beaches. 3. Don't really care about the Sandscreen as per his comments. 4. More questions about the Sandball since he didn't show much: I assume the material isn't sticky but similar to certain desk grips (& similar products) so it can be rinsed and re-used? How much sand did he add to the bag, did he attempt to keep sand out like an average visit or throw sand in to test it? I am interested though.
I go to the beach a lot and never bring a chair with a cup holder or an insulated mug. I like to sit on the ground, not in a camping chair and I don’t want to have to lug a big camping chair with me on top of everything else. And I don’t need an insulated mug because I bring ice.
I have both turkish towels and sand cloud towels. They all work the same as far as being great towels. I like sand cloud’s sizes and designs. Also they give a portion to environmental causes. I never knew the baby powder trick for sand🤯, thanks for the tip!
Hi there. Just wanted to know that there is kinda cool product that i use here in sweden, often use at my trips to the beach. And that is the sand free beach mat, originally developed for helicopters landing in sandy places. I dont have the precise name for the mat, but im sure google has. Regards from Sweden
From the sandscreen, I can see it over talc from it being a lot of issues with the formula in of itself and conflicting information. If getting to something thats much more easily closed, the sticky ball can easily overdo a standard microbial cleaning slime to clean a car and something with more clearance. Only if it does keep its stick for a longer period of time, or can be a case of that alien tape that was 'reusable'. Though for the dog bowls with legs, can easily be left behind at that point with bottles, doubling up with the waves picking up more unnecesary plastic.
Another factor, if that normal towel gets weight, it's heavier, takes hours to dry, and will hold more sand. The Amazon one will dry quick and stay light weight
The cupholders are interesting, but my girlfriend is a marine science major and I can only imagine the horror on her face if she saw them and considered people forgetting them on a beach lol. Even if they aren't super toxic anything getting into the ocean is pretty bad.
I watched the SandCloud pitch on Shark Tank, and I don't remember them even saying it was particularly sand-resistant. I don't remember them making any technology claims, just saying that it's convenient, versatile, and folds up small. The beauty of the Sand cloud is you can use that same towel as a skirt, a cover-up, or and a shawl at the beach, and home decor when not using it on the sand. It is just a particular type of towel they make in Turkiye, that the SandCloud people marketed in America.
The side by side towel drying test would have been when you saw the huge advantage. I have several friends in the nomad community they have switched to the Turkish towels because they fry much faster and can be stored away quicker.
I've never used the Sandscreen or corn starch or anything to remove sand from me. I've always just rinsed off what I can in the ocean and then hosed off the bottom of my feet outside the house
Life hack: always keep your cellphones,Wallets and keys easily accessible in those bright containers to help keep them at a consistent temperature so the temp changes dont stress the materials :p
The only actual difference between the Sandscreen and the powder bottle is that the Sandscreen pouch doesn't leave traces of powder in the sand the powder stays in the pouch, except for what you need for dusting off sand.

I grew up surfing and diving, and though I don’t do either anymore I do live near the coast and these things are just gimmicks except maybe that ball dirt catcher, keep up the good reviews there the most un biased reviews out there
For the sand screen just use the good old baby powder sock that’ll do the trick and if you didn’t know now you know…baby powder is probably what they use anyway… Edit: he tried babypowder after so yea
It makes sense the sand would shake right off that towel since it isn't the usual loop type terrycloth. I doubt I would ever spend that much for a beach item. Those get lost or go missing too easily. As for the other beach gadgets, nah. Seems unnecessary for the price.

How much are you selling "yourFist" for.
Was needing one for my next beach trip
I like how he combined all products in just one beach visit
Anakin Skywalker approves of these products. 👍 😂
He really just out here showing his grippers for free. Absolute legend
I could use a sticky ball in my purse. Always getting crumbs or bits of dirt at the bottom.
The sacrifice he needs to make, getting in the middle of nowhere on a crowded beach.
Your videos are really great! Your hard work is appreciated.
9:39 😂
The cupholders are interesting, but my girlfriend is a marine science major and I can only imagine the horror on her face if she saw them and considered people forgetting them on a beach lol. Even if they aren't super toxic anything getting into the ocean is pretty bad.
Thankfully they seem decently sized and a bright color, at least
I think they're a waste of money. I've lived my whole life without them, and never had an issue with drinks on the beach. 😊
Looks similar to a jelly fish from a dumb seals point of view.
Oh man, i was literally just there on sunday the 9th . Definitely always on the lookout for you in vegas, ill get a picture with you one day lol.
i love this vid man excellent way to write off a beach vacation as a business expense X D
The side by side towel drying test would have been when you saw the huge advantage. I have several friends in the nomad community they have switched to the Turkish towels because they fry much faster and can be stored away quicker.
I have a noname version of that ball in my rucksack and it does a great job for the general crud that can gather. I really like it.
Those little drink holders look like a precursor to a prop on the Stargate Atlantis show - a weapon called a 'drone'.
Looks like you filmed at Fred's patio., in HB. I'm in Fullerton to the North.
I would have tested the sand cloud with wiping off your feet when covered with sand to see how it compares to a regular towel and the baby powder.
Looking at beach gadgets knowing full well I'll never go to the beach.
I've never used the Sandscreen or corn starch or anything to remove sand from me. I've always just rinsed off what I can in the ocean and then hosed off the bottom of my feet outside the house
I love the Shorebreak resort. Kimpton for the win!!
Life hack: always keep your cellphones,Wallets and keys easily accessible in those bright containers to help keep them at a consistent temperature so the temp changes dont stress the materials :p
The 'Sandscreen' sounds line a rosin bag used when bowling! lol
The only actual difference between the Sandscreen and the powder bottle is that the Sandscreen pouch doesn't leave traces of powder in the sand the powder stays in the pouch, except for what you need for dusting off sand.
who elce is reminded of a early 2000s product reviews guy on discovery that came on at the end of a home remodeling and construction show?
Maybe it was this guy and I don't know it?
I remember puting off my homework all through the seccond grade just to watch it lol.
He would review anything from new and innovative gadgets, home audio/stario and speakers, recreational stuff, beach and pool stuff, appliances, computer gear, camping gear, sports items, pool stuff, gardening gear, telephones and more.
it wasnt bob vila or trading spaces either those were on TLC, any idea anyone?
I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the show and would love to see if anyone has archived some of it on youtube.
@Freakinreviews What shoes are you wearing in the video, they look really cool!
do you film all the product info one after the other then all the tests together and mix the clips in editing ?
Hi! I am from Turkey! May I suggest rewiewing an ordinary "Peştemal" as well? In Turkey, we have them as a thin towels (at least I use them like so. I wrap my hair after the shower) I believe their price is lower than 48 dollars. If you find one for cheap, can you compare them?
Those coloured drink holders are sold in Europe as toilet brush holders. The holder plus the toilet brush cost 1 euro the set.
Where did you get those swim trunks? I love them
I am disappointed you did not try the eat a sandwich off the sand towel for best results...
Sand ball is icky. How does it get the gel effect?
To me solutions for non existing problems.
Can you share a link for the Travelon towel?
As a former SoCal surfer we just let the sand dry and then ( just lightly ) rubbed the sand off. That way you don't tend to 'grind' it off.
That looks like your regular old Turkish hammam towel. Amazing that someone’s passing it off as their own invention.
Only bummer bout your day at the beach, was tyre tracks all on the beach, what? I thought Cali was sposed ta be green.!
Lifeguard trucks
That towel looks like a drag mop a custodian would use
I only wanted to see the beach cleaning ball. Looks cool
The nice thing about the beach, it's always by the ocean. 😌👍💯
I grew up on the beach and have lived on the beach 50 yrs and never thought sand on a towel was a problem. Shake it from one end and done.
I grew up surfing and diving, and though I don’t do either anymore I do live near the coast and these things are just gimmicks except maybe that ball dirt catcher, keep up the good reviews there the most un biased reviews out there
For the sand screen just use the good old baby powder sock that’ll do the trick and if you didn’t know now you know…baby powder is probably what they use anyway…
Edit: he tried babypowder after so yea
It makes sense the sand would shake right off that towel since it isn't the usual loop type terrycloth. I doubt I would ever spend that much for a beach item. Those get lost or go missing too easily. As for the other beach gadgets, nah. Seems unnecessary for the price.
Steps into ocean. "Shit" lol😂
Born and raised in FL and as a teen spent every weekend at the beach, never knew baby powder helps remove sand
Bonus with the zinc oxide powder as zinc oxide is sunscreen!!
Can someone explain to me what does baby powder do for dusting off sand when you can just use your hand? It's the first time I hear about it.
But does a big gulp cup fit in those cup holders? I’m more likely to take a big-gulp / polar pop / frosty cup to the beach than a bottle.. lol
I wonder if a rosin bag (like the kind bowlers use) would do as good a job as the Sand Bag?
After washing the ball does it work well a second time?
