Here's some rules they need to set up:
1: SHUT UP! If you don't understand the movie, too bad for you! If you absolutely have to ask, then whisper.
2: Turn off your phone! Especially teenagers! Texting isn't allowed and your phone has to be turned off.
    3: No seat kicking!
4: Don't take your baby into the movies!
5: Candy. Open your candy during the previews and trailers.
6: Stay seated unless you have to piss or something.
7: Don't climb on the seats.
8: Don't put your fingers in front of the projector.
9: Don't take your first-grade kids to an R-Rated movie!

I agree, I can’t understand why people can’t be respectful in the theaters, the most recent one I can remember is during Blade Runner 2049 and this older man brought his 6 year old grandson and his teenage granddaughter, his grandson would not stop running around their seat area and making noises, and the old man kept talking very loudly and then his phone went off and he started talking on his phone. Then when the movie was over he said to me “wow that movie sucked didn’t it?” And I said “well if you didn’t act like an asshole during the whole movie maybe you would’ve liked it” and he got mad lol

    • @Fahriya
      @Fahriya  5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

Arrival Entertainment oh no, this is horrible. I was super excited to see Blade Runner 2049 and I saw it late at night so thankfully there were only respectful adults that nights. I would have been so mad if this happened especially in a movie like this. And it was almost 3 hours too, that must have been painful .

    • @ArrivalEntertainment
      @ArrivalEntertainment 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

It was painful, thankfully it didn’t ruin the whole movie for me I still ended up loving the film. But I was also thinking, why would you bring a little kid to an R rated movie? I hate when people do that

Arrival Entertainment I don’t get it either. And if you do bring you child to movies like this then at least tell them how to behave in a movie theater. But also a lot of adults can’t behave either so we are screwed...

I'll never forget the time when this guy just got up in the middle of a movie and yelled at the projectionist because the volume was too loud for his sensitive ears, or the time when someone thought it was a good idea to throw his drink as high as he could. What makes matters worse is that movie ushers act completely oblivious to these incidents. Avoid going at night because that's when movie theaters turn into hangout spots, and try to go in the morning instead. Also, avoid opening nights as much as possible.

It's the same in other countries as well, unfortunately. I come from Glasgow in Scotland, and there is this one experience I will never forget......
So, I'm going to go see Toy Story 4 one night, and I'm there by myself. Throughout a majority of the movie, I'm sitting alone in heaven, no loud popcorn crunchers, no texters or phone callers, no nobody. Until, this woman comes into the cinema with her two children, a son and daughter, and literally said to them, "Okay, let mummy relax and go play!", which led them both to start screaming and chase each other down the isles.
After rushing around about 10 times, I finally said to them, "Excuse me, I know you're having fun, but I'm trying to watch something, and there's only half an hour left, so can you please sit down?", to which the mother, overhearing me, looked down, snorted, and said, "They're not doing anything to you, my weans can do what they want, thank you!"
At that point, I started ranting and raving at this other woman, who was having none of it. Two security guards came in and noticed the kids still running riots around each other, needless to say that all three of them got booted out, leaving me to enjoy the final 10 minutes before the closing credits.
I think there should be special booths in all cinemas, whether it being in America, Scotland, or any place else, where children can sit in with a movie of their own. It's not that hard to make a little lounge booth for children with a DVD and television. It makes life so much better for people who are trying to watch the movie shown in a specific screening.

I’m glad to hear that I’m not alone in this. You just got a new subscriber. The thing that annoys me the most is when adults bring their baby into the theater. The baby usually ends up crying throughout the whole movie while the parents look clueless 9 out of 10 times.

    • @Fahriya
      @Fahriya  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Little kids are the worst. When I went to rewatch Endgame there was a family with little children sitting behind me and even before the movie started I knew I was in for something horrible since the kids were noisy and moving around the theater. During the film they also would not be able to sit quietly, only their parents would sometimes calm their kids down. I just wish parents would stop bringing their kids to movies before the kids are mature enough to understand basic manners. Also thank u so much for subscribing 🥰

Today, two people decided to turn on their own personal audio commentary.. Then their ringtone went off. So I asked nicely to turn it off. The man just let it go, not turning it off and then the talking went on again. So I just stood up, not walking away, I just stood up. So the woman said 'hello, hellooooooo'. So I waited a few seconds before I turned around and said 'since you do what you want to do, I do what I want to do and I feel like standing up right now. But you want to enjoy the movie, and I want to enjoy the movie. But right now, we both can't.. So I'll sit down now, but the next time I feel like standing up because I can't enjoy the movie in silence I will watch the rest of the movie standing right here till the end'
    This worked

I’ve had a few bad theater experiences in the past 7 years
2014: Draft Day, these young kids in their mid teens came into the theater late during the previews. They were snickering and running up and down the stairs causing a ruckus and after shushing them at least three times they quieted down.
2015: Spectre, during the previews when the trailer for Force Awakens this person in the row in front of me to my right had started talking on his phone which rang for about 40 seconds until somebody told him to hang up.
2017: Silence, towards the end of the movie this woman who’s about 70 years old, her phone started ringing so loudly that it snapped me out of the experience.
2020: 1917, 5 minutes into the movie this woman started talking on her phone when the plot started kicking in and I came VERY close to standing up and screaming at her “Put the phone away!!” but 5 people beat me to it.
Not that many to rant about because I’ve been very fortunate to have most of the audiences be very respectful. But I completely understand how you feel and it’s another reason why I don’t go to the movie theater so much besides the fact that I try not to spend a lot of money. I do hope and pray that movie theaters put stricter rules for those that come when it comes to their phones and also “please do not disturb the people around you by being loud and talking. Thank you!” but I don’t see it happening personally.

The most frustrating aspect is the potential for comparison to people who engage in inappropriate behavior like this. I recall an incident in high school when I displayed aggression towards a classmate during a PowerPoint presentation. It wasn't directed at him personally, but rather towards the audience, whom I disliked. In my frustration, I made a gesture inspired by the 'Pepe Punch meme' aimed at the audience, but unfortunately, I was facing my classmate at the time. It was a thoughtless action, and I immediately paused, indicating that it was not intended for him. He laughed it off, understanding my unintended mistake.
But I wasn't like my brother when we were watching Spider-Man: No Way Home in the theater. My oldest brother and I went to a new theater we had never been to before, in Orlando. When we entered the theater room, we sat in the back. There were two people sitting on the far right side of us. They were muttering to each other throughout the first 10 to 30 minutes of the movie.
My older brother briefly glanced at them before turning to me and loudly disparaging me, causing me considerable embarrassment. Shortly after, he proceeded to laugh loudly and disruptively, akin to someone overcompensating for enjoyment, much to the annoyance of the nearby patrons. It seemed the disapproving murmurs from our neighbors prompted him to cease his disruptive behavior.
Towards the end of the movie, a young child seated in front of me, who appeared too young for even preschool, turned around and looked directly at me, likely in response to the disturbance caused by my unruly brother. It was disheartening to consider that this child's early life experience was marred by the disruptive behavior of individuals like my brother and those around us.

Good video, I have't been in a theater since January due to the pandemic but I don't know if I'll be going back just due to everything you mentioned here. I'm just finding it harder to argue for going and paying to see a movie with the risk of people ruining it. I've had quite a fair share of amazing quiet experiences, but the bad ones stick out like a sore thumb and I'm on edge with some red flags.
I went to see 1917 recently for a second time in January with friends and there was a group of college-aged people (same age range as me) talking loudly through all of the trailers, and with the movie starting there was no dying down of their conversation. At this point I'm more shameless about theater etiquette so I just turned around and coldly said, "Movie's starting. Time to be quiet". Worked for most of it but then they started talking during a pivotal moment and me and someone else shushed them again.
It's just a joke sometimes in the lack of self-awareness people have. It seems to be much easier to just stay at home and have a movie night with people you know that are just going to watch it and pay attention. I could be wrong, and I may start going back afterwards to see things, but we'll have to see. I for sure do not go on opening weekends to things as that's a surefire way to have a bad time with younger and obnoxious people.
But this is a great video, just subscribed.

Haven't been in the theaters for a looong time either (because of the pandemic) amd I miss seeing brand new films on the big screen. But it is suck so bad that I feel a bit stressed now when I go to theaters knowing that I may end up with some group of obnoxious people. Thank you so much though for subscribing and sharing my pain 😄

Anymore, I’m sick of going to movie theaters too.
I was sitting through “Barbie” and these kids sat two rows in front of me. They would not shut up, and one of them just had to keep taking his phone out.
Another time, I was sitting through the new Spider-Verse. This couple brought their kids. Guess they didn’t want to pay for a babysitter. People were getting annoyed. I got so mad, I got up and left.
And don’t get me started on GIGGLERS!! These are usually groups of girls who come in. All they do is giggle throughout the entire movie and will NOT shut up.
Of course you got people who think the auditoriums are their living rooms and don’t think the rules apply to them. Then there’s the ones who leave lots of trash when they leave.

I'm a sadist when it comes to effed-up moviegoers ruining movies. I know how to deal with them quietly, the texters and talkers sitting in seats in front of me anyway....
I carry an old retractable TV antenna with me to the movie theater, along with scotch tape and a needle. I tape the needle to the tip of the antenna several minutes before the lights go down so that I'm prepared to punish any possible a**hole who may choose to sit in a seat in front of my row of seats. The minute they start talking or texting during the movie, the antenna gets pulled up and they get a jab with the needle in the back of their neck. Plain and simple. I love hearing the little cries- of-pain too.
It works always. The offender puts their phone away and shuts the big flapping hole in their face. I've never been tattled on to management and others around me praise me in the lobby when the movie is over. A few years ago it took three jabs in the necks of two bozos who were yapping. They just got up and left. I was expecting a manager with police to escort me out and arrest me, but nothing happened.

    Hi Fahriya,
Never seen your content before, but I think this video is great! That being said, I’m in the mood to talk about annoying movie goers today.
Last night, I saw the new 007 film, No Time to Die (loved it btw). I had every intention of watching this movie out of respect for Daniel Craig’s last ride as James Bond. During the previews, four young adults came in, talking loudly to each other. "Fuck!" I thought.
Of course, they chose to sit right behind me.
The dude directly behind me kept bumping the back of my seat with this foot. This happened like- 5 or 6 times. Finally, I turned around and told him to please be careful. He didn’t apologize; he just said “ I didn’t do it on purpose.”
    ….
Soon after, all four of them got up and moved further to the left of their aisle, away from me. "Good.” I thought, “Maybe they won’t bother me anymore." Boy, was I wrong….
After the movie started, they talked throughout the first 2 scenes of the movie. I couldn’t take it anymore. I got out of my seat, walked over to them and said, "Guys? You have not stopped talking since you entered into this room. Please, shut your mouths." The guy who kept bumping my seat from earlier said in a ‘Mr. Tough Guy’ voice, "What’d you just you say? What the hell?". To which I ignored and said "If this continues, I will tell the service folks from downstairs to come up here." Did that work? For a little while, yes. Until…
Throughout the rest of the film, they kept making subtle and deliberate noises: loud, aggressive ruffling of plastic bags, whistling noises between their teeth, over-the-top snorting noises, a ringtone went off in someone’s hands at some point; it was ridiculous!
10-15 minutes before the movie ended, they started talking again. By that time, the movie was nearing its end and there was no point in talking to any of the help from downstairs.
Anyway, these people suck- I wanted them to get hit by a car on the way home.

I mean at the end of the day if the movie theater experience is ruined by others then it is definitely better to stay home and watch it in peace. I am starting to realize that slowly but surely.

I haven't been to the cinema since before the pandemic and I have no intention of going back. Because:
    1. Other people are such noisy/messy eaters. Pocorn gets everywhere. Why don't more of you just have a meal before watching the film?
    2. Babies and toddlers crying, running. And why do parents even bring them to a film they most likely won't understand?
    3. Teenagers who won't stop zoning out on their phones and keep talking loudly, *deliberately* trying to disrespect everyone. Sick of teenagers wanting to be treated like adults but then thinking the rules don't apply to them!
    4. Adverts. Bloody adverts. Some adverts are cool and I get why they need to be shown, but the ads before a film should take 15 minutes max. Not effing 45 minutes.
    5. It's very dark in a cinema, and the lack of daylight exposure is bad for your health.
This is why I have a soundbar with detachable speakers in the lounge, so effectively I have my own little cinema at home. Perfect! Screw public cinemas!

I didn't like Zombieland 2 much either. Loved the first one, but the second was a letdown. The characters just weren't funny or likeable this time around.

I remember one time walking out of the theater laughing after watching The Ring 2 and getting some of the most dirtiest looks from any other human being ever (that movie sucked so much it was comical). The worst experience I actually had at a theater was while watching the first Hotel Transelvania during an early afternoon matinee and there was this kid running around in and out of all the auditorium (including in front of me). Anyway (other than getting extremely peeved) this dumb hyperactive gremlin tripped in front of me (I tried my best not to laugh my ass off) anyway to make a long story shorter, the kids mom freaked, got an usher and had me thrown out like yesterday's garbage and temporarily banned from the theater. A short while later I had a conversation with one of my younger siblings buddies who worked at that same theater and that he heard about that crazy mom and brat from one of his supervisors and we both laughed at the stupidity of it.

The worst type of movie theater go is the 1 who brings their baby to the movie theater . Like Oh yeah my baby fell asleep I'm okay to bring it that's the same logic saying . Drinking and driving is okay as long as you don't get caught like don't bring them .

@@angrycanadianguy8749 Some parents already think of movie theaters as daycare, like dropping their children at the movie theater and going off to shopping for an hour or to while the children ruin your movie time.

I have this experience sometimes at college basketball games. Trashy people yelling obscenity at the refs every 3 minutes at the top of their lungs. Gosh I can't stand inconsiderate dopes.. Some people are just inconsiderate idiots. Actually a lot of people are.
