Just bought the bar. I ordered dual. I have a question. I want red and amber. Do I have 60 days to change the colors and patterns/modes? Or do I have 60 days to just change the colors. And the patterns/modes I can change anytime?
I had a quad that just stopped working so Feniex is sending me a Quantum 2.0. I understand I can set different mods to different color/flash patterns but just confirming that the Quantum will connect to my existing wiring of my entire vehicle?
So the video compared prices on a Quantum with 2 colors enabled and a Quad with all 4 colors…. But can we see the price of the 4-color enabled Quantum Stick vs the Quad Stick?
@@danroot84 I agree, cause even though quantum quad is more than quad price, you can program and use a quantum quad with out F1 controller, to do that with quad would mean buying the converter.
Are you able to reprogram the quantum after the initial programmimg? Lets say 3 months down the line i wanna upgrade from amber/white to white/red, is that a possibility if you purchased the tru color version? Like how with the quad you can change the colors whenever you want. If you feel like having an all amber bar, or a red/white/ amber/ or blue/amber you can just change it. Will you be able to do that with the fully unlocked or partially unlocked quantum bars?
You have (60) days to change the colors before the light is locked. Now if you wanted to go from Single to Dual, Dual to Tri or Tri to Quad you can purchase that upgrade
@@JacobWinkle If you needed to change the colors after 60 days then you would need to pay for an upgrade. If you go with Quad from the start then it does not lock after 60 days

Of course. They need to sell through their inventory first though. Prepare to have a TON of pissed off dealers with inventory of Quad. Feniex will inevitably drop the price of the Quad until it's completely gone. Dealers will lose money.
I'd like quad if it didn't have the converter and the wires were just there like the older fusion models, I think it's enough of this online bs (no offense to feniex) but the stuff just isn't ready for online yet in my opinion, I just like all the wires to be right there without anymore problems
The newer Quad Products do not need the Quad Converter. They have the wires on the product. The only Feniex items that need the Quad Converter are the Full-Size Lightbars

A tesla comes with an amazing sound system but you have to pay to unlock it... thats lame. Thats unfortunately what im seeing here.
If you want to purchase a single color light you pay for a single color light. You are not paying for a Quad up front and then only getting a single color light. Now if your needs change you can upgrade the light to unlock more colors. This is a lot better than having to buy a whole new light if your needs change

This is horrible buisness practice. Feniex finding a way to get more from its customers. It's real advantage is more flash patterns and you have 10 modes without the need for a controller. Feniex has always been late to the party with its flash patterns, but its price was the selling point. The Quad with its 3 modes is plenty enough for most.
Seems like a waste of leds to me.. if you buy a single color bar you still have 3 other colors you just can not access, but they are there.. you just cant use them. So why?
@@beakfish7319 Well. I have quads and I am using white/amber flashing for emergency, red for brake on rear and white for flood. If you compare the price of dual color to quads is no to much.
You can purchase a Single Color Light and down the road if your needs change you can upgrade it. For example if you purchase a Single Color Stick Light in Red and decide late that you wanted to have a White flood mode, you will need to buy a new Dual Color Stick Light. With the Quantum you can plug your light into your PC and pay for only an upgrade to Dual Color and be all set!

Ya i agree... this was not a good move. You dont see Whelen doing this with their products. You buy a dual its a dual you buy a tri its a tri.
