      🥹🫶🏻 thank you so much!! I appreciate you!! So I can definitely add to my list more on natural nail care. Believe it or not, the part that some cut is actually called the eponychium (or proximal nail fold if I remember correctly). The cuticle is what is on the nail plate. The eponychium differs from the cuticle because the eponychium is comprises of live skin cells whilst the cuticle is dead skin cells. It’s a very controversial topic to trim it for the same experience that you had of bleeding. I try to stay away from trimming it so that I don’t harm myself and I’ve heard that it can lead to it becoming thicker over time. But I don’t want to “shame” others who prefer to trim it either. Just trying to educate on the pros and cons 💗 here’s a link that shows a picture to help give a clearer understanding www.nailcarehq.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/Nail-Anatomy-NailCareHQ.com_.001.jpg

    I'm new to diy dip powder and have really appreciated your tutorials! I bought a Beetles kit and Azure kit and have successfully done 2 manicures, thanks to you. I'm looking for a deep, burgundy red and saw one on Sparkle and Co that had Sip&Dip 02 as the name. Also looking to compare Sparkle and Co liquids (application, dry time, shine) to the Azure ones I like. Can you comment on the color and liquids? It seems very difficult to find just one color and get it right! Thanks so much!

    • @SipAndDip
      @SipAndDip  ปีที่แล้ว

      I appreciate your kind feedback and support! 🫶🏻
      I love that shade from Sparkle and co! Revel also has Asa and Passion that might be what you’re looking for!
      Hmmmm so a comparison on Azure and sparkle and co. I would say azure is definitely thinner and sparkle and co is a medium thickness. Sparkle and co glossy coat 2.0 has a phenomenal shine however the 2nd layer of top coat takes like 10 min to dry. Azures is going to be a faster dry time imo. Overall you can’t go wrong with either!

      Thanks for your reply and the information! I'll look into those colors soon. I learn something new every time I watch your videos (and I watch them several times!) You sure make everything look easier than it actually is for me, but I'm improving and learning how to be creative, as well as quicker. Thank you for sharing your tips and always having a smile in your voice!

    Chels!!!! Help! When doing the scrub method. I see people don't use build powder they go straight into the color. For baby boomer with the scrub method I'm confused. Is it base liquid, light color, base liquid scrub, base, scrub till I'm happy. Or base light color, base scrub, base light color, base scrub till I'm happy. Then encapsulate How many dang on layers before I'm done

    • @SipAndDip
      @SipAndDip  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey love!! So it will vary depending on how dark the base shade is. For example, if the pink is darker then it may cover right over the white scrub on the 1st layer. So here are a few options!
      Light/sheer pink option -
      Dip into pink (let dry)
      Scrub on white (dust off)
      Dip into pink (let dry)
      Scrub on white (dust off)
      Dip into clear (done with dip)
      Dark pink option-
      Dip into pink
      Dip into pink (let dry)
      Scrub on white (dust off)
      Dip into clear
      The lighter the base shade and the brighter/darker the scrubbed in shade is, the easier it will be. For example, scrubbing a neon on clear dip powder would be a breeze. So using a sheer pink and pigmented white would work great 🫶🏻 I hope this helps!

    How do you make it matte?

    • @SipAndDip
      @SipAndDip  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There’s a few different ways!
      1. After you file + shape, apply activator and be done.
      2. Finish the entire manicure, top coat included. Then buff + file off the shine, apply activator and done! This will give you the top coat strength but matte top coat look
      3. After shaping, cleanse with rubbing alcohol + lint free wipe. Then apply gel matte top coat and cure 60 sec in lamp
      4. After shaping, cleanse with rubbing alcohol + lint free wipe. Then apply nail polish matte top coat and let dry
      I hope this helps 💓
