I'm another one who has come here after your drumeo interview. As someone who does a fair bit of music theatre (some what related) and also teaches drums to some students at a circus school, its really valuable to get this look behind the scenes as well as the split scene aspect of what world class circus musicians have to do. Thanks for the insight. An area of drumming that is often over looked.
You are a part of the act, without you, it would feel like something integral is missing! Keep up the good work! Great seeing you perform in Vancouver too~
@@maceyhoffman7920 depends! If we have one show I’ll practice anywhere between 2-3 hours, and if we have two or three shows a day I’ll just do my warmup routine which is about 30 min :)
Yes I Remember you were Playing the Drums on the Bottom while the Rest was playing on the top part and at the end of the act you came out on a track you play your drums. I thought I pictured that at Cirque Du Soleil's kooza.
Holy shit, this music SLAPS!! I'm a drummer/percussionist in music college at the moment and I'm going to audition for Cirque in the future. Any tips? What materials would you recommend to work on? You kick ass dude, cheers! :D
I love that music too! First of all it's amazing that's your also a percussionist! I would recommend to work on your reading, improvisation, and to play and master as much as you can world music and different geners of music on the drums! And of course, don't ever give up🥁
@@edenthedrummer That's good to hear, I've got many good things cookin as of now. I'm the principal timpani in our University symphony orchestra, percussion player in our wind ensemble and salsa ensemble and I also play drums and percussion in our jazz orchestra, Top 40 group and jazz combo. And most importantly, my mama didn't raise a quitter :D Cheers dude, maybe we'll meet on the road sometime!
@@edenthedrummer thank you much bro, ill give it a try, your very inspiring, i was looking for drummers doing this then I came across your vid, this sure is a dream. Is sight reading a must I mean true ace sight reading? Im a production drummer on board, I mean I read, but is it really intensive reading like big charts?
Came here after watching your interview with drumeo... what a drummer and what a humble person... keep up the good work and inspiration for us all!
Thanks so much!🙏🏻

Great to hear! Keep grooving.
it's impressive how it keeps the rhythm in the sixteenth notes on the counter beat.

I appreciate that! Thank you so much my friend.
Amazing. I’m not a drummer, but I think I know when there’s a great drummer there. I was just at Cirque in Calgary and my highlight was the drum solo.
Thank you, I appreciate your compliment and I’m super honored the drum solo was your highlight of the show!!

Thank you!!
Saw this performance in Montreal! You're an amazing drummer!!!

Didn't know of that. You were Newer who Took over the Other Drummer. He was still very good too.

Indeed :)
Billy Cobham chops!!
Thank you! That’s a big compliment!
