I know I'm nearly a week late to the party, but man, this makes me want to set up my own show or company and open up auditions just in the hopes that you or Connor or Masked Guy sends in an epic audition video like this one so that I can "review" it and feel awesome:-D

Practice slowly to a metronome (like 16th notes at 40 bpm). Ensure each stroke has the same volume. Make sure you are using the Moeller method. Vary the exercise's tempo, but always start very slow, ensure that it sounds perfect at the slow tempo and then increase the tempo. Always with a metronome. You can't cheat, it has to sound perfect at much slower bpms before you will be able to make it sound good at faster bpms Speed will come with practice.

They hope to see a video of this audition video put out to give a try to see if your wacky audition tryouts to see if you can make the cut what you trying to make! Keep making what you make the grade videos that you do and try to see what students want to send you the kid once before the video the question request wanted to send for you play!!!

they are always looking for creative talents. what you're seeing is the "general audition" and they place a high value on creativity during this audition (it's a circus after all). from there they add people to an archive that the different shows can cast from. people may be in that archive for years before getting a call when their talents might match one of their production's needs. I doubt they felt their time was wasted by this.

You really do need to expand into Latin percussion man. You can get conga sets for $300 or individuals for around 150$ and 100$ for decent bongo.
The real reason you got cut: All of Cirque du Soleil’s shows are animal free, so they don’t need any animal trainers
