That last clip, damn that hit and run driver swerved just to cause harm. That driver did it knowingly, judging by the way how he decided to escape the scene after hitting the car and after causing the motorcycle driver to crash. I hope that hit and run person has been captured, that kind of behaviour is not acceptable
Well the motorcyclist wouldn't have been in any danger if he decided to not try to be a vigilante. Reckless driving is not acceptable behavior. And he is not a cop.

What IS law is that when overtaking a cyclist, you must leave as much room as you would a car.

That last one; this is why cops don’t suggest you try doing their job by chasing offenders. All you had to do was get a license plate number, and maybe a frame or two of the driver. Could’ve done that from a safe distance, or even stayed at the scene of the accident to offer your video footage of the event.

Or he could have stopped even quicker... ABS trades off ultimate braking ability for safety in panic situations or for newer riders who haven't developed the skills needed to modulate brakes near the threshold of lockup. Locking up a wheel and then regaining control is a critical skill, IMHO, that safety systems like this prevent you from learning. Riding a dirtbike where traction is limited and varies widely and then crashing a bunch is a great learning experience that helps in these situations.

I was kinda progressively applying like a non-ABS bike so was only a few little ABS blips.. I’d only picked up the bike 20 mins earlier as it happens. I reckon with decent tyres and not the hopeless Avons it came with it’d stop a bit quicker!
