Update on this rifle. I don't know if this specimen is typical of gamo cfr rifles, but this one is an exceptional shooter. Took it out to 25 yards today. I took a phone book and taped a regular piece of lined paper with 3 binder ring holes in it. I used shoot and see pasters to get the scope where I want it. Then I aimed for one of the binder holes with the scope on 9x. With meisterkugeln pellets is shot 9 inside the binder hole with 1 flier half in half out of the hole. I'm new to airgun shooting, but I've been shooting rifles and pistols all of my life. I have a $1500 Reminton 700 PSS that shoots 1/4 MOA all day every day. I swear this gamo cfr is every bit as accurate as my 700 with distance limitations taken into account.
Good to hear Gamo is still in the race, among the leaders in accuracy even. Seems a fair price(s), coming with a quality scope, with AO. You were rewarded for maintaining patience, Kenny.
Kenny im the guy that bought this rifle from you. I've only put 10 pellets through it as I received it today. I emailed you a picture of my 1st 5 shot group with meisterkugeln pellets which measured .07" center to center at 15 yards. This thing is a laser gun. I'll send you some pics when I take it out to 25, 50, 100y this weekend.
I'd love a vortex piston in it but I'm happy with my HATSAN 150. Getting the claimed power. Despite 177 it's comparable to my 25cal 125 just smaller holes lol. Way harder to cock. Definitely 50+lbs but all the magnum related issues i knew ahead of time. I get scoped groups unscoped so that's a plus. Some "experts" can't for some reason so unsure if they had double duds or just didn't figure its hold out. Anyway i wanted the gamo but im a power junky (long range shooting). This....got a great deal but woul like a 22.... probably consider a trade for a 125 vortex 22 maybe but another 150 would be better lol. Great review sir! Bout time you're getting noticed! Only one of 3 maybe, i trust.
1ad before I start watching this review of death wish movie tickets I click the ad and direct me to their website keep the air guns reviews coming up thanks
Really great review and so sorry you have cornered the market on the bad rifles! Glad you have a good one now my friend. I really like your information you provide in the ever changing air rifle/pistol industry. Keep doing what you are doing!! I came over to the Gamo Whisper Swarm 10x Gen 1 as the price was really good for a .177 for small game and pest control with accurate plinking out 50 meters and reaching out to 100 meters for fun. I had a springer Black Ops that was fast and super accurate before. My Swarm so far is really accurate, has some good speed to it and the 10x repeating shots are a ball. So far so good. I had heard about Gamoi issues but then it can happen. So far I am loving mine for what I use it for until I get a nice pcp for accurate shots at amazing distances.
Kenny, I can't speak for the under-lever gun, but for Gamo break-barrel guns try holding it firmly and try to follow thru by keeping the crosshairs on the target until the pellet hits....as best you can. Doing this has tightened up my groups with Gamo break-barrels ALOT. The so called "artillery hold" is bullshit with these guns.
The reason most of the Gamo's that were not accurate was Bad Piston Seals. After 4 bad guns in a row, I kept one and pulled it apart. A new piston seal made it a tack driver.
Good review on this rifle. Would you recommend this gun to a first time air gunner? Or is there another one you like better? I've been shooting guns for almost 40 years so I'm not a newbie.
Can anyone tell me the best way to clean this rifle? Very difficult getting anything down the breach, not to mention it needs to be cocked to open and inspect. Very unsafe! But very accurate...
I decided not to but any more break barrels. I have much respect for those of you that can shoot these well, but I am just not one of them. I still have two of these. My scope busting Crosman Phantom, and a Crosman F4 that has a gas piston. I shoot my multi-pumpers and C02 rifles just fine. I bought a new Ruger Explorer a while back to try a more modestly powered break barrel, but it was not to be. I would have kept it if it could have held even a 1/2" group at 7 yards (and that's not asking much), but it wouldn't even do that. If I buy another air rifle, it'll either be a new Benjamin 397 or 392, or maybe the new Air Venturi Dragonfly multi-pumpers. I'll be envious of you that can shoot 1/8" groups with your break barrels, but they just aren't for me.
Jon Neet you cant expect much from hundred buck springers. Ya get what ya pay for man. My advice to anyone who does buy a el' cheapo springer is to give it a good cleaning with ballistol soon as you take it out the box then LIGHTLY lube the barrel. Then run about 100-125 lead pellets thru it. Then try a few different pellets and pick the best one. After that just learn the gun cause that will be about as accurate as your going to get with a factory/stock el' cheapo springer. If you want to get it shooting any better than it is at that point youll have to start doing a lil' Air-gunsmithing, adjusting, modding, etc.etc.etc. when thats all said and done IMO you ither have to be in it for the hobby side of it all, and the long haul... Or you should just start buying better guns. Instead if the $79-$89-$99 dollar el' cheapos... start with buying something a little higher up on the shelf. Maybe start with a $300-$400 Hatsan or Likewise Break-Barrel... Youll be much happier i believe. That is if you not cool with el' Cheapos or Being in it for the Hobby side of it
BSA had a rifle (may have been the gold star) years ago with the same breach loading, and since BSA/GAMO are the same now perhaps its just a re-launch. the originals leaked at the breach, O ring problems, they never really got that popular over here in the UK with the likes of HW77, 97s and AIR ARMS tx 200s ruling the roost at that time. wonder what you will make of them over in the states ! EDIT 15 mins later, it was The superstar not Gold star.
Really miss his videos RIP Kenny 🙏 you truly were a gem in the airgun 🌎
Mr. Kenny, thank you. I bought the Whisper after watching your review. You looked and sounded like a good man. May you rest in peace.
so sorrry to Mr. kenny passed away..I loved his reviews..R.I.P.
Glad you got to shoot a Gamo that you actually liked & was accurate before you sadly passed away buddy. RIP Kenny.
RIP Mr. Kenny

Wish crosman had a deal like this. So I would buy USA. Good job Gamo.

Rascal77s do you have any tips on how to clean the barrel on this rifle? Its difficult getting anything down the breach
I SURE DO MISS YOU MY OL FRIEND !!!
Pellet loading looks like a pain. We appreciate your honest reviews.
Great review.
I have wondered about these. Now I know.
Thanks again.
Good on you Jim G.!

Kenny I have a .177 cfx. It is also very accurate. Gamo makes fine barrels, sometimes the rest of the gun is not up to par.
I did not know Gamo made an under lever.

Great review Kenny!! You know the boys over in the UK shoot rabbits out to 40 to 50 yards with sub 12 foot pound air rifles !

myairgunreviews finally I can't believe it a gamble that actually shoots
myairgunreviews that didn't come out right it's not gamble it's Gamo sorry about that Kenny
My best pellet rifle only shot 760 feet per second for his Maiden Germany

Where can I get Gamo parts, such as piston seals and breech seals ?
Mine possibly needs one too, as I sometimes experience a low velocity shot.
Vortek Products and Pyramyd Air
Google the part. Found some in the UK that will ship to the usa
Which one more accuracy gamo cfx or gamo cfr IGT?
1250 shadow whisper 2019 recon g 2 2014 750 and 1250 big cat 2014
Do the big cat 1250 the shadow whisper and recon g2 whisper have plastic triggers

Mine works so nice at 10m with "JSB exact express* and up to that distance with "JSB exact". The Polymag/Metalmag is good to 25m too.
Gamo ammo NOT!!!
Jsb is best in my 1377. 3/16" group 10 yards.
Awsome vidio, that's a nice pellet gun
Nice video
strange, that Gamo has not made more underliver air rifles. The CFX is the best springer they have ever made

@@randomvideosfilmcollection3161 What about the Gamo Magnum? It runs 240-300, and it's a gas ram.

Actually, I would like something in a .22 caliber for hunting small game. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
NOVA FREEDOM OR ASPEN ,TRUST ME !
Decent review. Like to see more shooting. Just talking numbers gets old and boring. Thumbs up on this Video for ya.
Kenny how come you don’t buy a real Beeman, weihrauch, Walther (made in German) rifles to review? Those are just perfect out of the box
Cost! I did just buy a Diana 350 NTEC
This guy died ?
Yup
