    Dangerous journeys is probably my favorite of all the documentaries found on this channel. However this one in particular gave me so much anxiety I had to watch it in blocks, lol. Any time someone from an industrialized country complains about their working conditions or life’s hardships, tell them to watch this video.

    Amazing how the guys on the bikes can carry 300 KG of charcoal on these difficult roads with jandals on their feet. Respect. The traffic jams and bad roads are terrible and governments not doing anything about it is very sad for the road users who have to make a living from transporting goods.

    I have vivid memories of such journeys. Back in 2007, a distance of 96km could be covered in 5-7 hours and on rainy season, sleeping on the road was inevitable. Nowadays (Rural Kenya) it only takes 2-3hours on the same road since they were constructed. Its all about good governance.

    Not that I'd like to complain, but this particular episode has been uploaded to at least three different YT channels. But nevermind, doesn't matter, the episode is definitely worth re-watching. Imo, development aid to African countries should be used to manage road infrastructure. It would make it easier and faster for people to get their products to the market.

    • @PAULLONDEN
      @PAULLONDEN 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Re-uploading happens to tens of thousands videos......doesn't matter as long as they're as interesting as these , where there's so much to see , you can easily watch them a few times over.

    • @Marisolita_95
      @Marisolita_95 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@PAULLONDEN Yes, it happens a lot, but like I said it doesn't matter, esp talking about this episode, it shows us how difficult life is for ordinary people in a country where the road infrastructure is in really bad condition, but then again, people have a smile on their faces, they laugh and joke while the truck is stuck in the mud. Here in West, we'd probably yell to each other. All in all, a very educational episode which can be watched more than once. I have watched a Burundi episode 3 times. It's a brilliant episode.

    Saya menonton film nya ini sungguh menyedihkan.betapa sulitnya kendaraan yg membawa barang untuk dikirim tapi jln nya sangat buruk.
    Padahal sumber kekayaan alam seperti ya banyak.
    Apa pemerintah nya disana gak kasihan liat masyarakatnya.
    Saya orang indonesia ..
    Tuhan selalu memberkati saudaraku disana.
    Amin

      The Burundi episode is absolutely amazing. Those guys with bicycles carrying heavy loads are awesome. The way how fast they drove a roughly 90 degree bend was incredible, and they couldn't even see what's behind the bend. They had like 150 kg of bananas on the bike rack and the tires & brakes were in poor condition. You have to have guts to do that kind of job. Gotta respect those guys!

      What do you want God to do for them?
      God will never comes to this earth and build roads network for anybody.
      Their destiny is in their hands ✋.
      Religion beliefs is a disaster in Africa continent.
      We always praying to God to come and do what he has destined us to do for us.
      And that's why African people are very backward.
      Instead of you to encourage them to embrace science and technology so that they can able to solve much of their problem by themselves.
      Keep praying for eternity.
