This was very helpful. :) All the videos that have voice and music do not show you how to do this. All the comments I saw from 3 years ago found it helpful. All the comments with a 'problem' were very recent.
For those of you asking about multiple images I think this way would be a hassle. You would either need multiple records one storing each image (if you want to keep your normal form), multiple fields (one for each path), or a delimited list of paths. Along with a good amount of custom vba. The better way for you would be to use the attachment field type which has the built in functionality to allow you to add multiple images and even scroll through them in the form. Great video though this was exactly what I needed!
Thanks you so much. You have done a great job. Very few have discussed as you. And your discussion topic is critical. But you have made it easier. Thanks again
i made an add button to record data at the table. this works only once. when i try to enter new data and press the add button again, the previous data record gets replaced by the new one. i dont want the previous one to get replaced. i just want a new record added. what do i do? please help!
Hello Cliff, I didn't catch the moment, when the browse button will work as a browser - I've tried to follow step by step and it doesn't work im my data base. Can you support? I really need the browse button on my form, and the picked pictures location should be saved as text in main table.
I have created a data entry form with Subject line (Text), Email Body (Text) and an Ole Object box in which I paste the screen shot. Now on save button click, data gets added to the table and also drafts an email with the same subject line and email Body. ***CONCERN I am facing with the ole object IMAGE, which I want automatically to be in the email body below the text. Is there any way to do so, if not then any alternative or suggestions
Excellent work, I used it, but I have problem this work with Report. when open the Report (the image does not appear in the report.), please : How the picture appears in the report after this work. Thank you very much.
Ya could have mentioned that people will need to enter ALL the code!!!! Here is mine so others can copy and paste. Dim f As Object Dim strfile As String Dim strfolder As String Set f = Application.FileDialog(3) f.allowMultiSelect = True If f.Show Then For Each varItem In f.selectedItems strfile = Dir(varItem) strfolder = Left(varItem, Len(varItem) - Len(strfile)) MsgBox "Folder" & strfolder & vbCrLf & _ "File: " & strfile ProductImage = strfolder + strfile Next End If Set f = Nothing
Thanks Rob - That code saved me a lot of hastle. Note to others: All you will have to change in the code is "ProductImage" to match your text field name.

Sorry but this video was hard to follow. It was like a game of charades with the constant clicking sounds and going back and forth to screens to show what you wanted us to do. I see a lot of other people got something out of this but all I got was a headache

Using attachments is a horrible method and guaranteed to bloat your database
Thanks you so much. You have done a great job. Very few have discussed as you.

Instead of typing the instructions, why can't you just talk?
maybe he doesn’t have a mic?
not able to understand properly...
I agree with Sam John. It is a torture watching you type in a text editor! But you must have some reason. What is it?

very lengthy & boring technique.
