Blastoff! SpaceX launches European TV satellite, nails 250th landing at sea

- A Falcon 9 rocket launched the SES Astra 1P satellite from Florida's Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on June 20, 2024 at 5:35 p.m. EDT (2135 GMT).
SpaceX achieved its 250th landing on an ocean-based droneship after successfully touching down on "Just Read the Instructions" in the Atlantic.

Same for me. Stopped watching decades ago. I refuse to pay to watch commercials, besides the stuff around the commercials isn't any good either. Just a lot of blabbing.
We TiVo programmes then start watching 15 minutes in, fast forwarding through the adverts.
Trust me European TV ain't all that, we now broadcast western propaganda, only good channel is the old skool comedies even if it is repeated 20x a day the rest is blah blah blah
I am amazed every time the Falcon 9 booster lands perfectly and especially awed when it lands on a ship at sea! In aviation, there is a saying, Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing, if you can use the plane again it is a great landing. Space X does great landings!

For me, the 250th landing is just as cool as the first. I will never grow tired of them, and I hope people don’t fall for the Apollo trap in thinking that space travel is “ordinary” and lose interest again.
Could not see it from home because it was still daylight but this is so cool.🚀

Meanwhile, on the other side of America, in Oregon, on Mt. Hood, NASA and Boeing are testing out a lunar robot dog. They say it will launch in the next two years. Mind you they can't even get a spacecraft off the launchpad and if they do succeed it gets stuck in space unable to get their astronauts home. Maybe they should focus on getting their equipment off the ground first, anything else is a waste of money.

Space starts at 62 miles high and nothing has ever been to space because rockets can not produce thrust in a vacuum so the rocket just falls back down at the 62 mile mark
