So they're pretty contradictory. Not sure if there's a specific reason Coder went with the first ruling, when it disagrees with TCG PSCT.
@@SunderRS There's a difference between activation legality and resolution. Drawing and destroying are both mandatory, if you can't attempt both you can't activate the effect. Hello Coder and Comment Section I have a Question. If u negate and destroy a tearelements card, when it gets send to the GY does its effect still activate and resolve? (The cards in this specific case are Kaleidoheart and Adamancipator Risen Dragite. Kaleido CL 1, Dragite CL 2.) Thanks in advance, Cap
Since it was sent to the GY by resolving a card effect (negating and destroying it), and didn't leave the GY in the same chain, then all Tears besides a non-Fusion Summoned Rulkallos (such as having been summoned again by its GY effect before) will trigger
Dragite only negates the activation, so its negation does not persist beyond that point. As such, in this case, Kaleido-Heart's effect which triggers if it is sent to the graveyard by card effect will activate in a new chain. It is also worth noting that most effects that negate the effects of a card on the field will not persist into the graveyard. So if someone hits Kaleidoheart with Imperm, then destroys it by another effect, it will still trigger in the graveyard.
Yest it will resolve, because the send a car to the hand and the revive and send to the grave are different effects, so the second effect will trigger on a different chain.
Similar question for mirrorjade: if Lair of Darkness is in the field, and a normal summoned Lilith, Lady of Lament uses te quick effect tributing mirrorjade, does the effect not trigger as well or does it trigger?
It left the field due to an opponent's card (if you control the Mirrorjade and the opponent controlled Lilith), so yes it would trigger. This also would apply if the opponent Kaiju'd it or used it as Link Material for Closed Goddess of the Underworld (and Closed Goddess of the Underworld would be destroyed at the End Phase). There's no direct rulings for your question, but there are for the 2 other examples I listed so it's quite likely it should be ruled that way.
@@Lawler50431 disagree, both Kaiju and Underworld Goddess tribute/use as effect. Lilith tribute as cost, as shown by the semi-colon after. Edit: It's a different situation from what's in the video. Quaeritis specifically said card effect while Mirrorjade said card, so I guess it triggers?
@@mbrusyda9437 You may disagree on the Kaiju and Underworld Goddess, but that is what OCG Konami ruled. It's how they say the card works and 95% of the time, how it works over there is how it works over here. And yes, it is because it says "card" and not "card effect". (It is Konami OCG Card Database: Ruling #23560)
@@mbrusyda9437 They don't tribute as effect, they tribute as a summoning condition. For some reason Lair actually is counted as tributing for an effect, hence it doesn't work on stuff like Ultimate Falcon. That ruling makes no sense to me (especially since Soul Crossing works the opposite way), but that's the case. But in any case, Mirrorjade doesn't care if it's sent by cost , summoning condition, or card effect. The only things that don't trigger mirrorjade are stuff which spins it back to the extra deck, stuff which banishes it facedown, and stuff which forces the opponent to remove it (e.g. herald of the abyss).
@@IamGrimalkin Lair doesn't tribute, at all. Lair has an effect that can make you tribute opponent monster as cost for other card's effect. This effect is the one that Ultimate Falcon is unaffected with.
On the game where they summoned a rank 9 off two 8's, I feel like you were being sarcastic when you said "true" to someone saying "counting is hard", but seriously, telling what level cards are at a glance IS hard unless they're low level, and miscounting by 1 is among the most understandable mistakes players can make. Honestly I wish they'd just write it out like "Level four", "Level eight" "Rank nine". It'd make the cards so much easier to understand at a glance, right next to putting effects in bullet points. Let's be honest, yugioh card design sucks and we let it pass because we're used to it.
Guys I have a doubt about about mirrorjade’s effect when leaving the field, thing is I ritual summon a white relic of Dogmatika and proceed to activate its effect and he chains MJ’s effect to banish, thus white relic can’t resolve. Everything good there. Then I special summon a Kashtra Fenrir activate its effect to search for another one, he then chains ash blossom, since he activated a monster effect I can activate Fenrir’s 2nd effect to banish the MJ face down, he then says “activate MJ’s effect” (to destroy my board in the end phase) this really put me into think if it can activate, my logic is the same with cards that are bounced back to the ED, since it’s not of public knowledge, monster’s that have the “if this card leaves the field” won’t trigger. I called a judge and ask if it can be activated. He said it can be activated because it left the field by an action I did, but they weren’t getting my point. So what would happen? Is this a valid question? Or is it just dumb? Thanks
If something is banish face down it is no longer public knowledge just as if it is returned to the extra deck and cannot activate as it is no longer treated as x card but as an unknown card to either player (even though they can look at their face down banished cards). Also the reason evenly matched is an amazing going second card.
wait what if you have fun playing for 15 min on YOUR first turn tear is fun. i think coder misspoke if you have fun playing for 15 min on THE first turn tear is fun
not having a rule book makes yugioh rulings a varying degree of that. either full on no expanation or if you look at x, y hopefully has the same rulings.
For the last one: Yes both players are responsible for a legal state. However I think the player that made the mistake has a higher responsibility. The player who summons Rank 9 should know the allowed plays/combos.
Now I doubt every judge question I've every gotten answered from reddit so I'll ask it here. If I activate Peaceful burial to send SLIFER THE SKY DRAGON to grave then bring it back via MONSTER REBORN would he stay on the field every end phase or just the turn Peaceful burial was activated?
Step back chumps this is how you fix YU-GI-OH Side note Links should’ve been made before Pendulum then Pendulums last. Side note the *ed ones the best ones 1. *Face down cards can’t be used as fusion material but can be used for tributes of a ritual or tribute summon or effect. 2. *1 Normal summon and 1 set or 2 sets (or 2 normal Summons) (Either Or or 1 set, 1 normal summon, 1 tribute Summon) 3. *You can normal summon in face-up defense position 4. *Tokens can be used as xyz material 5. *Increase the Extra and Side deck to 20 6. Draw 1 card when you end your turn 7. *Link monsters can be used as synchro material but count as level 0 ofc 8. get rid of missing timing 9. *Get rid of properly summoning 10. *Ritual monsters that say “YOU CAN ritual summon this card” can also be Special or Normal summoned like regular monsters. Only Rituals that say “MUST BE” must be ritual summoned. Or Ritual Monsters start in the Extra Deck. 11. Unlimited normal summons of normal monsters and of any level 1-8 12. *Links aren’t restricted to the EMZONES To be Summoned 13. *Pendulum summoning from the face-up extra deck aren’t restricted to linked zones 14. Once per turn on either turn each player can activate 1 trap from their hand 15. *when a monster attacks another monster that has higher DEF points it’s destroyed after damage calc. 16. Both players can use both the EMZones for any type of monsters. 17. any combination of cards with mutual links can be used to have control of a monster in both mid field Extra Monster Zones. Instead of just the U lock ( u-v-L locks don’t lock your opponent’s out of the extra deck tho) 18. *Monsters in the Mid field Extra monster Zones can be used by either player for The summons of Fusion, Ritual, Synchro, XYZ, Link and tributes for tribute Summons. Now both players benefit and take a risk by using the Extra monsters zones 19. Monsters in the Pendulum Zones can be used by (the controller) for The summons of Fusion, Ritual, Synchro, XYZ, Link and tributes for tribute Summons 20. You can Fusion summon fusion monsters without poly by Summoning material on top/in the same zone as the other material.( for monster that requires 3 material the material must be on field or in hand just like how poly works. ( if you’ve play Dark Duel stories then you’d know how this works) ( its just a choice between letting this summoning mechanic be a fusion summon or not which ofc it should be counted as Fusion summon so then monsters gain their effects and if the material is sent to the gy or is stays stacked in the same zones.) 21. *Bring back the Pendulum zones but you can only pendulum summon monsters equal to the # of zones in between where you placed your scales in the back row. So with how the board is set up now you can only pen summon 3 monsters. So if you want to summon 5 they’d need to bring back pendulum scale zones plus it’d be cool to set traps in your pendulum zones yk 22. Link monsters Arrow can be used to climb up or down the field creating EMZones on your opponent’s field or your own S/T zones (monsters that are on your side of the field under the opponent’s control can be used as summoning material for link, xyz, synchro, fusion, ritual, or tribute summons) 23. Both And/or Link arrows just let the link monster attack the zones it points to along with monsters in the same Column 24. *Monster in the main monster zones can only attack the monsters in the same column as themselves and when the zone is empty you can attack directly. 25. Monsters In the Mid Field Extra Monster Zones have the chance to target any monsters in the main monster zones for attacks along with the other Mid Field Extra Monster Zone 26. While In the EMZ or main monster zones Pendulum monsters can attack S/T cards/ cards in the S/T zones in the same column as itself. (No damage is delt) Or pendulums can only attack an opponent’s Cards in the S/T zones while its been summon to the opponent’s field (in your control) bc the arrow a link monster points to an opponent’s main monsters zones 27. Pendulum monsters in the Pendulum zones can only attack monsters in the mid field Extra monster zones or Cards( monster, S/T) across from itself on the opponent’s field in the Pendulum Zones. 28. *All monsters have battle protection from monsters with lower Levels/Ranks then themselves and also have Battle vulnerability with monsters that have a higher Level/ Rank then themselves. Meaning they are instantly destroyed after damage calc when battling a monster with a higher Level/ Rank Or All monsters have battle protection and instant destruction upon attacks on monsters in this oder. Level 12 beats level 11 and below and Rank 1 beats level 12 and below ect ect ect 29. You can start duels with any number of Pendulum’s monsters face-up on top of the extra deck for you to Pend summon but they take up space in your extra Deck 30. *Add a secondary Extra deck thats only for spells and traps thats 5-10-20 cards and you can once per turn set 1 trap or add it to your hand and 1 activation/set of a spell or add it to your hand ( only in the main phase of the turn players turn) (Pendulum monsters can be place here to) (You Activate any spell you choose from the speed spell deck or you set it depends on if you wanna extra zone to activate spells from or if you wanna make it more of a guess which card is my trap cards kinda deal) 31. Create a separate banlist for the speed spell deck 32. All together your once per turn resources become 1 set of a trap or add it to your hand 1 set of a spell or add it to your hand 1 normal summon 1 set of a monster 1 pendulum summon 1 activation of a trap from the hand CARD DESIGNS THAT ID LIKE TO SEE IN THE FUTURE THAT COULD HELP BALANCE THE GAME More reprints More possible/realistic 1. Create (more)Pendulum Ritual Monsters 2. Trap Pendulum Monsters 3. Link Pendulum Monsters 4. Create Pendulums with Different Numbered Scales on Each Side(scale) 5. Create Pendulum Flip Monsters 6. Create Pendulum Union Monsters 7. Create Pendulum Gemini Monsters 8. Create Generic Pendulum Archetypes to Support Links, Xyz, Synchros, Fusions, Rituals, Tribute, Normals, flip, union, gemini, spirits, Attributes, types etc 9. So how does one Synchro summon with a level 0 monster? If you're trying to Synchro let's say a level 8 monster, you need two monsters whose levels equal 8. It could be a 1 and a 7, a 4 and a 4, whatever. Problem is adding 0 does not change anything. As far as I'm aware, level 8 tuners do not exist, so summoning with an 8 and a 0 simply isn't possible. Why not just have the Link monsters have a level equal to their link rating? It would still be a bad idea, but at least it would make sense.
Today's highlight was kinna funny so imma laugh at the thing that made me laugh below this line: So they're both punished with PE minor warning for reporting illegal gamestate and trying to resolve it with a judge Imagine playing yugioh, your enemy does some weird stuff, you report it and u get punished alongside the guy who did it,hahahahaha Content out of 10 :) In example of real life: imagine spoons are illegal and you get sta-b-b-ed with a spoon(or threatened to be sta-b-b-ed by a spoon) and then when u sue the guy for sta-b-b-ing you, then you also get punished because spoons are illegal and it was both of people responsibility to not use a spoon Sorry, friend but this is ridiculous
They got a warning because they both realized that the play was illegal turns prior, but instead of saying anything, they kept going and then decided to report the illegal play at a point in which rewind was beyond impossible. Both players are responsible for keeping the gamestate legal at all possible times, and got warning for purposefully failing to do so. It's really simple.

If u negate and destroy a tearelements card, when it gets send to the GY does its effect still activate and resolve? (The cards in this specific case are Kaleidoheart and Adamancipator Risen Dragite. Kaleido CL 1, Dragite CL 2.)
Thanks in advance, Cap
i'd say yes, because you only negate the activation of kaleido's effect, and kaleido is sent to the gy by a card effect so it can trigger (i think)
How are you negating a monster with a Spell Negate?
Since it was sent to the GY by resolving a card effect (negating and destroying it), and didn't leave the GY in the same chain, then all Tears besides a non-Fusion Summoned Rulkallos (such as having been summoned again by its GY effect before) will trigger
Dragite only negates the activation, so its negation does not persist beyond that point. As such, in this case, Kaleido-Heart's effect which triggers if it is sent to the graveyard by card effect will activate in a new chain.

In situations like the last call, are you allowed to ask the disagreeing player what they think should be done, and explain why it wouldn't work?
I'd imagine so but on Duelingbook, a lot of players will try to argue over anything if they think they can get what they want out of it.

@@mbrusyda9437
They don't tribute as effect, they tribute as a summoning condition.
@@felgranddra I knew it!!! Thanks a lot!
wait what if you have fun playing for 15 min on YOUR first turn tear is fun. i think coder misspoke if you have fun playing for 15 min on THE first turn tear is fun
My source is that I made it the fuck up
not having a rule book makes yugioh rulings a varying degree of that. either full on no expanation or if you look at x, y hopefully has the same rulings.
Ngl, don't care if Elestrals plays amazing, I cannot stand that Neopets looking ass art, I just can't fucks with it.
Reddit was right about amc and GameStop how could they possibly be wrong ab yugioh rulings? 😭🤣
For the last one: Yes both players are responsible for a legal state. However I think the player that made the mistake has a higher responsibility. The player who summons Rank 9 should know the allowed plays/combos.
The player who made the illegal summon may be more responsible but they both get the minimum possible penalty
Where can I play this?
Now I doubt every judge question I've every gotten answered from reddit so I'll ask it here. If I activate Peaceful burial to send SLIFER THE SKY DRAGON to grave then bring it back via MONSTER REBORN would he stay on the field every end phase or just the turn Peaceful burial was activated?
just that turn, slifer's garbage kill itself effect applies if it was special summoned, instead of being tribute summoned.
What app is that?
Reddit is always correct
Step back chumps this is how you fix YU-GI-OH
Side note Links should’ve been made before Pendulum then Pendulums last.
Side note the *ed ones the best ones
1. *Face down cards can’t be used as fusion material but can be used for tributes of a ritual or tribute summon or effect.
2. *1 Normal summon and 1 set or 2 sets (or 2 normal Summons)
(Either Or or 1 set, 1 normal summon, 1 tribute Summon)
3. *You can normal summon in face-up defense position
4. *Tokens can be used as xyz material
5. *Increase the Extra and Side deck to 20
6. Draw 1 card when you end your turn
7. *Link monsters can be used as synchro material but count as level 0 ofc
8. get rid of missing timing
9. *Get rid of properly summoning
10. *Ritual monsters that say “YOU CAN ritual summon this card” can also be Special or Normal summoned like regular monsters. Only Rituals that say “MUST BE” must be ritual summoned.
Or Ritual Monsters start in the Extra Deck.
11. Unlimited normal summons of normal monsters and of any level 1-8
12. *Links aren’t restricted to the EMZONES To be Summoned
13. *Pendulum summoning from the face-up extra deck aren’t restricted to linked zones
14. Once per turn on either turn each player can activate 1 trap from their hand
15. *when a monster attacks another monster that has higher DEF points it’s destroyed after damage calc.
16. Both players can use both the EMZones for any type of monsters.
17. any combination of cards with mutual links can be used to have control of a monster in both mid field Extra Monster Zones. Instead of just the U lock ( u-v-L locks don’t lock your opponent’s out of the extra deck tho)
18. *Monsters in the Mid field Extra monster Zones can be used by either player for The summons of Fusion, Ritual, Synchro, XYZ, Link and tributes for tribute Summons. Now both players benefit and take a risk by using the Extra monsters zones
19. Monsters in the Pendulum Zones can be used by (the controller) for The summons of Fusion, Ritual, Synchro, XYZ, Link and tributes for tribute Summons
20. You can Fusion summon fusion monsters without poly by Summoning material on top/in the same zone as the other material.( for monster that requires 3 material the material must be on field or in hand just like how poly works.
( if you’ve play Dark Duel stories then you’d know how this works)
( its just a choice between letting this summoning mechanic be a fusion summon or not which ofc it should be counted as Fusion summon so then monsters gain their effects and if the material is sent to the gy or is stays stacked in the same zones.)
21. *Bring back the Pendulum zones but you can only pendulum summon monsters equal to the # of zones in between where you placed your scales in the back row. So with how the board is set up now you can only pen summon 3 monsters. So if you want to summon 5 they’d need to bring back pendulum scale zones plus it’d be cool to set traps in your pendulum zones yk
22. Link monsters Arrow can be used to climb up or down the field creating EMZones on your opponent’s field or your own S/T zones (monsters that are on your side of the field under the opponent’s control can be used as summoning material for link, xyz, synchro, fusion, ritual, or tribute summons)
23. Both And/or Link arrows just let the link monster attack the zones it points to along with monsters in the same Column
24. *Monster in the main monster zones can only attack the monsters in the same column as themselves and when the zone is empty you can attack directly.
25. Monsters In the Mid Field Extra Monster Zones have the chance to target any monsters in the main monster zones for attacks along with the other Mid Field Extra Monster Zone
26. While In the EMZ or main monster zones Pendulum monsters can attack S/T cards/ cards in the S/T zones in the same column as itself. (No damage is delt) Or pendulums can only attack an opponent’s Cards in the S/T zones while its been summon to the opponent’s field (in your control) bc the arrow a link monster points to an opponent’s main monsters zones
Meaning they are instantly destroyed after damage calc when battling a monster with a higher Level/ Rank
Or
All monsters have battle protection and instant destruction upon attacks on monsters in this oder. Level 12 beats level 11 and below and Rank 1 beats level 12 and below ect ect ect
29. You can start duels with any number of Pendulum’s monsters face-up on top of the extra deck for you to Pend summon but they take up space in your extra Deck
30. *Add a secondary Extra deck thats only for spells and traps thats 5-10-20 cards and you can once per turn set 1 trap or add it to your hand and 1 activation/set of a spell or add it to your hand
( only in the main phase of the turn players turn)
(Pendulum monsters can be place here to)
(You Activate any spell you choose from the speed spell deck or you set it depends on if you wanna extra zone to activate spells from or if you wanna make it more of a guess which card is my trap cards kinda deal)
31. Create a separate banlist for the speed spell deck
32. All together your once per turn resources become
1 set of a trap or add it to your hand
1 set of a spell or add it to your hand
1 normal summon
1 set of a monster
1 pendulum summon
1 activation of a trap from the hand
CARD DESIGNS THAT ID LIKE TO SEE IN THE FUTURE THAT COULD HELP BALANCE THE GAME
More reprints
More possible/realistic

3. Link Pendulum Monsters
4. Create Pendulums with Different Numbered Scales on Each Side(scale)
5. Create Pendulum Flip Monsters
6. Create Pendulum Union Monsters
7. Create Pendulum Gemini Monsters
8. Create Generic Pendulum Archetypes to Support Links, Xyz, Synchros, Fusions, Rituals, Tribute, Normals, flip, union, gemini, spirits, Attributes, types etc
9. Print more column specific Effects on cards.
10. Print more Link 5s
11. Level 1 synchros
12. Link tuners
Less possible/realistic
1. *Create Link monsters with DEF points that are Red cards
2. *Create S/T cards with Pendulum Scales
3. *Create S/T cards with Link Arrows
4. *Create Speed Spells And a Speed Spell Deck Zone
5. Create a new Trap Card type that Are True “Hand traps”
Today's highlight was kinna funny so imma laugh at the thing that made me laugh below this line:
So they're both punished with PE minor warning for reporting illegal gamestate and trying to resolve it with a judge
Imagine playing yugioh, your enemy does some weird stuff, you report it and u get punished alongside the guy who did it,hahahahaha
Content out of 10 :)
In example of real life: imagine spoons are illegal and you get sta-b-b-ed with a spoon(or threatened to be sta-b-b-ed by a spoon) and then when u sue the guy for sta-b-b-ing you, then you also get punished because spoons are illegal and it was both of people responsibility to not use a spoon
Sorry,friend but this is ridiculous
They got a warning because they both realized that the play was illegal turns prior, but instead of saying anything, they kept going and then decided to report the illegal play at a point in which rewind was beyond impossible.
Both players are responsible for keeping the gamestate legal at all possible times, and got warning for purposefully failing to do so. It's really simple.
