Awesome tour. Congrats on the LX570. You can mod it just the same as a Land Cruiser so I see no difference there. Some overseas Land Cruiser 200 come with AHC... Wow the museum got some more vehicles since I was there last time (2016). I don't recall seeing that many fire truck cruisers back then. The vehicles are in much tighter rows now with name plates. It was more open back then since my kids were jumping and running around in there. The shop was much smaller then.

Thanks for this, I really love land cruisers and I plan to own a heritage edition when I retire from the Army in maybe 2 years which prices should be better then. It is sad they stopped producing land cruiser in America, maybe the board for the land cruiser museum should keep pressuring Toyota to bring the 300 series here to the US.

Mike’s poop cruiser 80 series is literally my favorite vehicle ever. I just love how it looks and everything about it and how it was built. Also his tacoma is on my list of favorite vehicles too. I was hoping he would add a 4runner to his collection tho and built that up.

About 10years ago, I bumped into a crew that were customizing discreet armored 70series Landcruisers for overseas vip/specOps types......I offered them my life savings and a kidney; but they wouldn't trade..........the ruggedness and spartan beauty of the modern 70series should be shared with the USA, not just for Asia, Australia, and the Middle East !
Yeah, 70s are legendary, and are used widely across many militaries.

What would you recommend for a family LC. 80 or 100 series. 30 k budget. Not a show or perfect truck. Just a functional winter and light off road use. ?
It’s a 200 series. Which makes it a LC. Take it from someone who got their first LC in 1988. ;)
I bought a 2016 200 series back in May. BP-51 lift, tires and Prinsu rack so far. I too thought about LX but the hydraulic suspension is problematic with doing a lift and the cost to do outweighed the savings over the 200.

Bro I have an 2010 LX570! You'll love it! I live in Ouray and wheel the f**k out of it all over. I think the LX is much better than the LC. Better interior, better sound system, thicker glass, more sound deadening, and with my experience, better suspension. The AHC is incredibly robust. Plus, to get an LC to have close to the same quality, travel, and dampening suspension that's a $5k plus affair. I immediately put some 17" EvoCorse DakarZero wheels on. The weak points are the water pump and radiator. If you want help/advice or are in Ouray ever, holla at me😎
Glad to hear it! Yeah, fortunately I know the radiator was just replaced relatively recently and some of the lines on the hydraulic system.

The lx570 is a 200 series. It’s a land cruiser.
US spec Land Cruisers just aren't the same, without diesel they have very limited range.
