Hey friend- As you and i seem to be at a similar time and place regarding our Fish room and channel, may I ask what editing program you employ? I've been doing long take videos from day 1 and I'd like to go up a level without adding time and expense...
Thanks for this! I took a slightly different approach and cut off a 1" piece of large vinyl tubing I had left over from modifying box filters to have more suction (stuff them with polyfill and extend the riser tube to just below the water surface and you can clear the water in a dirty tank FAST). I cut a square hole in the side of it just slightly smaller than the output of the trunano nozzle and slipped it on. It works fantastic! I can turn the pump up to full speed without blowing my shrimp around the tank like they're stuck in the tornado in The Wizard of Oz. The vinyl will eventually turn white and grow weird gunk, but this will work until I can find a mini lily pipe or spin pipe that fits the tiny tubing this canister filter uses.
Awesome! Glad the video inspired you to find a solution with supplies had laying around! I like your homemade “skimmer” approach too. Very resourceful! 🤘
You could. But the flow through that small of a pipe would make a powerful spray bar I think. You’d be better to step it up to larger pipe to reverse the Venturi Effect. Maybe that’s what you mean though. Same 1”pipe?

Where did you get both those lily pipes? Thank you.
@kingkjun I would use silicon if you have it and have the time to let it cure a day or two. The hot glue held up just fine so it is an option, I just think silicon might be more clear? 🤷🏼♂️
@@ssaquascapes the inflow is one of those pipes with the skimmer on top. What part do I suck on when the hose is attached? The bottom of the inflow has a bunch of holes. Would I put the whole end in my mouth? I appreciate you replying so quickly and your help!
Resourceful! I recently bought a spin pipe and am appreciative of their benefits.
So far it is working well to have very soft flow on the return. Shrimp are diggin’ it!🤘

I use Filmora 12. Pretty easy platform and if you play with each button for a day in a test video, you’ll have it down. Plus, it’s like $40 a year.
Thank you. I'm checking it out now! @@ssaquascapes
Thanks for posting these. I just bought the XL nano canister with clips. Your videos are much more useful than their website.
Thank you! Glad the vids help
@@ssaquascapes do you still like them? Any issues? Leaking?
No issues. Still in use as we speak.

Great idea! ❤❤
Thanks!
@@ssaquascapes I could see a spray bar getting made the same way with smaller diameter, acrylic tubing…

Came with the TRU Aqua nano filters. You can order a set though from minicompletetank.com
Thanks for the tip!!!
Glad it might help ya!
@@ssaquascapeshave to reanalyze this video again lol
@@ssaquascapesdid the hot glue end up working? I want to try this but wondering if silicone would be best.

@@ssaquascapes I’m impatient, will try the hot glue method, but good to know! Lol
How do you prime your canisters with the spin pipe? I can’t figure out how to siphon to get it primed.
Reverse prime. Siphon through the inflow pipe. 🤘
All we need to do it fill the canister. Doesn’t matter from what end. 😁

@schkuba in that case, it will be easier to remove the spin pipe. Siphon from the exposed outflow hose and then replace the spin pipe.
@@ssaquascapes hmmm… I don’t think it’s so easy to get the hose off and back on quickly. I had to put it in boiling water to attach the hose. 🤔
@schkuba it’ll be easier than you think because it is molded now. But if you’re in doubt, put the whole spin pipe in your mouth and……🤣
Sorry but I to laugh when the second band-aid showed up.... lol..... Thank you for the video.
Thanks for understanding the band-aid content! It was meant to make you smile. Laughing out loud is a bonus! Thanks for watching the video! You rock 🤘
