    The Erica Synths Sequential Switch is an 8 step sequential switch with some unique features and great functionality. It's also a nice size for getting your hands in and playing and tweaking the functions on the step buttons mid patch.

    This makes me want to trade in all my switches for one of these, wow

    Very nice as always! That gate out is a nice feature, thanks for making that clear.

      Cheers Dave! The gate is great, especially when merging steps. There's some addition modules which will work as expanders (and as stand alones) with this coming so you'll have even more potential soon.

    Thank you for the great demo. Would this work to distribute gates or triggers to 8 outputs? So, run clock in mult'ed to the single In/Out, would that send the gate out to each of the 8 In/Out ports, like Club of The Knobs 961S 5U module? John L Rice did a nice demo of that with a 5U 960 sequential controller. I just got a Behringer 960, so would like to be able to get that hands on performance capability

    great video! Do the clock input works as a regular clock input or also as ADV input? With the second one I would be free to advance the sequence with the rythm that I prefer ( like the ADV/Clock on the dfam ) thanks

    I see there is a "piano mode" for manually activating any given channel. Can you do that via CV from a seq as well? It looks like there is only a clock in jack. For example, rather than running 1-8 in a row, can you us CV to jump something else, like 1 - 4 - 7 - 2 - etc?

    Can I use this to say, trigger a 16 step seq from Rene' and then have it switch to maybe 8 steps of another sequencer, and so on or back and forth from one to the other with the right settings and maybe with the reset?

      Hey, absolutely. A sequencer with per step gate outputs is useful as you can be very precise with where switching happens. Patch the Rene CV output into it and the other sequencer into it. Clock your two sequencers (either same clock or different divisions to your liking) then take a slower clock division or a gate output from one sequence to flick between them.

      cool. I ordered it the other day. I'll be trying this thing out next week.

    Ben what is your favorite sequential switch for Eurorack and why?

    • @DivKid
      @DivKid  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      playing "favourites" leads to too many variables. Depends on what I'm trying to do, how many channels I need, do I need extra features, what's the intention?

    I have the followup model to this. At slow clock speeds, every advancement of the switch creates a prominent CLICK. At slow speeds it is very annoying. At faster speeds it creates a complimentary rhythm track you might say. Three sequencers going in and the output has gone through any number of routings to dampen the clicking with little success. Anybody have any ideas?

      For audio through the switch I would presume, right? That is because each time the sequencer advances, your audio waveform is not at zero, it’s either positive or negative voltage, creating a click sound. Try syncing or resetting your VCOs to the same clock that drives the switch. This would happen with any seq switch.
