DUDE! Thanks so much! This is a nerve-racking launch as I have no idea how the public will like it, but I really hope it's positive! Thanks to everyone as well, for both the kind words and support. I can't wait to hear what people think once they get their hands on them.
I use your custom EQ settings on my Nova Pro Wireless with wicked cushion pads and let me tell you it’s awesome. I just ordered your pads in support of you. If these live up to what Badseed said I’ll order a second pair as back ups when they get worn over time. I love supporting smaller creators. Good luck.
Happy to do it, brother! You killed it. Super proud of you for being able to execute something that's backed by science and research that will really benefit players. Really excited to see what you do next. All great things ahead! 🤝
I've known Joey since I was 6 years old. We've been best friends ever since. Probably the smartest person I have ever met and he always gives 110% in anything he does. So happy to see him absolutely crushing it on TH-cam and working with amazing channels like this one!
"He's the GamersNexus of gaming audio" is high praise - it was his review of the Asus ROG Delta 2's that really piqued my interest and why I wanted a review from your perspective. Glad to know you approve of his content, another name to add to the TH-cam GOATS! In no particular order: GamersNexus HardwareUnboxed / MonitorsUnboxed BadSeedTech OptimumTech GadgetryTech Crinacle Glarses Boardzy
I actually got the ROG Delta 2's just because of him. Pretty risky move to only watch one review, but his review was the only one that really went in depth with the headset, and he even gave a custom EQ that I'm using right now.
I cannot WAIT for him to get around to headphones that I own for this. This seems like an amazing value ad for existing Arctis users. Joe seems like such a genuine dude and I can't wait to support this when I can
Love Wicked Cushions. Bought my dad some M50s a few years ago, and he got a set of them for those. Crazy high quality and super comfy. Congrats on the launch, GT!
I do not own SteelSeries headset but Joe's channel is one of the few reliable channels when it comes to audio that I value his opinions when I make a purchase of audio gear. Hope these hit the spot and he gets the well-deserved credits for.
Jeo from GadgetryTech is, in my humble opinion, one of the very best doing what he does on TH-cam. I don't even play CoD and care about EQ profiles for shooters but I still cannot help but appreciate his work in that area, as well as his regular reviews. He's a true diamond geezer for sure
Mine got delivered today and I have to say these are the most comfortable wicked cushions pads I’ve used. And the sound just feels much nicer in the ears
I just got mine a few moments ago. How tf do these work?! in genuinely stunned. I just bought to support but i wasn't expecting anything. Dude these are INSANE they completely transform the sound profile of these headphones.
If you get the new white ones, the cushions are way softer and way more comfortable. I've had the originals and now switched to the white ones (After selling my old black ones for $150)
Thank you! I loved my dt990’s and the way the cushion felt! I currently have wicked cushions on my arctic nova pro and did not hesitate to buy these when I saw this video!
I love this. Hope to see this sort of effort with the Audeze Maxwells. I currently own the Wicked Cushions for my Maxwells and do notice a change in the tuning.
It’s crazy that I just got the nova pro wireless headset this weekend and the first thing I noticed was that I didn’t like the stock ear pads. For sure going to check these out!
wow. Thank you very much for the information.. just sold my Arctis Nova Pro Wireless because of hearing the pads.. the standard ones were so uncomfortable and over time the leather cracked... super cool headset and NOW I HAVE TO GO BACK AND BUY THEM AGAIN JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN GET THE NEW PADS.. MANY THANKS. from Ahmad from Denmark🎉🎉🎉
Thanks!! I try to be :). Which headphone do you own? I've had a lot of requests already and will be trying to laser focus on the most popular demands first.
I used a set of Brainwavz velour on my set of Arctis Pro Wireless before I gave the set to a friend. They were such a good upgrade for them, and this set resembles them. Good stuff from Joe👍🏻👍🏻
I have the WIcked Cushions freeze already for my Nova Pro Wireless but they have seen a fair amount of wear and was planning on replacing them actually... so this is great timing. Ordered them and can't wait to try them out!
thanks for the support!! Would love to hear what you think. Please be sure to keep ANC on and either use the DAC tune or Sonar import (with DAC set to flat) to make the most of it!
Easy cop! I literally got the Arctis Nova Pro's because of your video...and I guess these too😂- I watch both of y'all and respect y'all opinions, Respect!
Just pulled the trigger on these 😁I've begrudgingly tolerated the ANC nub making contact with my ears because nearly everything else about the headphones tick all the right boxes for me. If these cushions eleviate that problem and improve the sound as well I'll consider that a top-shelf win-win!
The awful noise cancelling nubs on the inside of the nova pro wireless earcups that make contact with your ears are the main reason my set has remained in the drawer, so will give these new pads a try and see if they prevent that issue from occurring.
I've always had such a hard time with pads and settled on the elite hybrids from dekoni after trying so many. I like leather over a lot of stock pads even the velour on beyers. It's amazing how much of a difference there is with just a pad swap. It also makes it suck because you can't tell how they'll sound for you before getting them. I have the 1770s and wouldn't be opposed to a new option lmao. I just hate most leather pads because a lot of them use fake leather which just inevitably starts flaking apart and ages poorly.
Dang, long gone are the days of engine swaps that were engines within the same brand. But not gonna lie, it makes it more exciting how people get creative with engine swaps!
now we just need him to do this for the razer blackshark v2 pros. I tried the wicked cushion version that was released it honeslty caused way more ear fatigue and ear heat than the stock pads.
That’s awesome. Good to see that wicked has become so big. Knew the guy from the beginning that started it and he seems like a good dude. Even sent me a free set for me to do pictures of lol definitely picking these up for my novas
I wish this was out a few weeks ago when I bought my BrainWave cushions. I hate the pressure from my earpads and love the velour after using it in my HD700. This is big!! I placed my order
I love the idea of this and would definitely buy it but for me personally on a different headphone. It was smart to go w these due to their popularity but more Razer and logitech wireless headsets would be awesome!
Instant purchase for me. I wore beyerdynamic headphones for a long time and love their pads, but never found any pads similar to them in the after market. I've been using my Nova Pro's for some time now and the pads get hot sometimes. I tried getting the Wicked Cushion cooling gel one, but did not like how they felt. Hopefully these will be what I have been looking for.
Wow, I already use GadgetryTech’s EQ in my Nova Pro Wireless. I’m buying these cushions ASAP! Thanks for letting me know about these! Edit: ordered now, so excited! Can’t wait to test them in CoD or another shooter.
I've gotten many pairs of Wicked Cushions, including for my V-Moda 100s when I used to daily drive them. They're good quality but their QA can be spotty.
I have the regular wicked cushions for my nova pro and I was basically about to stop using these because my ears still get too sweaty and they aren't that comfy for glasses wearers during long sessions. The timing on these releasing is pretty incredible, just ordered; hope they address my issues
update, i got these in a few days ago, they are definitely a lot more comfortable but dam they change the sound A LOT. all my profiles need to be tweaked, and I feel like these boosted the sibilance of the headphones, the S and T's seem more pronounced
I really wish WC offered velour pads for every model. Even with the cooling gel, their regular pads just get too toasty after a while, and they're also a bit too stiff for my tastes. My Momentum 4 pads literally cause pain around my ears after wearing them for a while; something that's never happened with any of the velour pads I've tried. Comfort is way more important to me than sound signature, because the latter can always be, at least to some extent, redeemed through EQ, while uncomfortable pads are likely to stay uncomfortable.
Ignoring the part of ""help to hear steps easier/Boost detail for FPS games"", custom pads seems to be a good alternative to get more comfort and they can last longer against salt and humidity.
bought a Wicked Cushion the next day after I bought my Maxwell. Switched it to a brandless cheap copy I found online that is as thick and has the same cooling gel. The hexagonal shape or the actual material is uncomfortable in my ear and face, the fact that I'm bearded. It's variety description is black silky fabric, but there is also a 'mesh' variety that I assume is the same as what the Wicked Cushion has. I got it for less than 10$ btw. lol Anyway, changing the earpads is necessary for Maxwell.
B, I have a question I think a lot of people have as well. With the launch of COD: BO6… if you had to pick a headset setup to give you the biggest competitive edge that you could, what would it be? Money aside. Thank you man, love your work.
Like this video I got some of the wicked cushions from before and wanted to see how much of a difference they made is cool to see a new option to try out
The only thing is the majority of us out here can only run $200 or less. I would love to have a dac and amp with a 500 dollar set of head phones, but on a military pay just cant do that. Congrats to both of you and love the content... its like window shopping! Hahaha
Seeing this 3 weeks late is such a bummer. Curious to see if he drops any for the Sennheiser/Drop PC38X’s. Tried the wicked cushions for them and immediately didn’t like how much it changed the sound. Tried messing with EQ but it’d take a lot of time to get them back flat sounding with the proper EQ to hear footsteps really well again
@@WickedCushions as soon as i see white I will buy the white novas just to have these! They are amazing I have the black ones now they are incredible feeling and sound quality is even better
So far only the Pro Wireless for now. I want to make sure the public is happy with the end result before working on a larger variety of models. Nova 1-7 and wired are on my shortlist.
Wait...aren't the Arctis devices inside their "family" (Nova in this case) more or less the same hardware, apart from the wireless stuff. Like drivers, plastic molds, microphone, that's all the same, is it not? In that case, I don't see a reason to why this is "ONLY" for the Nova Pro Wireless. It should also fit (and work) with the non-pro wireless or even an Arctis Nova 1. The only real difference is: all the wired versions don't need the Arctis software (no EQ preset), which is, to this day, not able to add a post process mic boost, making the non-pro wireless my brother uses too quiet in most gaming cases.
Hi, similar hardware yes, but the pads on the Pro are snap-on. The pads on the other models are slip-on. That’s the reason they don’t fit other models.
I wish I could talk to you in person. I am testing the TB SP and the Maxwells and I love the Maxwell so much for music, but holy shit the footstep detection in the Sps is almost like wall hacking. I can't choose which to keep damnit. Maxwells were horrible in CoD by comparison.
"first content creator to address the idea that putting wicked cushions on a headset affected the sound." Changing pads on headphones has been known to change the sound for well over 15 years if not longer. It's been documented here on YT by Z Reviews, Joshua Valour and countless. For all types of headphones.
Even those audiophile headphones need pad swapping because the fact of the matter is that everyone's head is different and bass leak just ain't a good feeling on sub-optimal pads and close-backs.
DUDE! Thanks so much! This is a nerve-racking launch as I have no idea how the public will like it, but I really hope it's positive! Thanks to everyone as well, for both the kind words and support. I can't wait to hear what people think once they get their hands on them.

"first content creator to address the idea that putting wicked cushions on a headset affected the sound."
Changing pads on headphones has been known to change the sound for well over 15 years if not longer. It's been documented here on YT by Z Reviews, Joshua Valour and countless. For all types of headphones.
Even those audiophile headphones need pad swapping because the fact of the matter is that everyone's head is different and bass leak just ain't a good feeling on sub-optimal pads and close-backs.
Damn I completely missed this and they’re sold out now 😭
