One thing I feel like you forgot to mention for the food is that was the restaurant and they have a cafeteria near the ski patrol office. Those donuts are awesome.
That place hits different when it’s the only hill close to you and you go at night. At night the view is sick and it hits different when your with the homies chilling on the edge of the highest hill. The view is better at night when you can see the lights of the city’s and the towns so you can see a lot farther than it looks.
I Mean you can't call Buck a resort or a mountain but it's the ease of access and the parks that bring people back. I'm also a racer on my highschools Ski team, the little elevation and short travel time along with the tow rope on Olympic Dreams allow many many runs during practices.
@JonathanBuckhouse Ok so here’s the deal: during the day you’re right, the views are terrible BUT if you wait til nightfall and go to the back left facing the back, you’ll see the city lights spread out beneath you and it’s positively beautiful. Wish I had a picture to post here
Buck Hill is literally a small ski hill in the middle of the suburbs. Not meant to compete with large Utah/Colorado resorts. Of course they don't need lodging...everyone in the south metro(1M+ people) can drive there in 10-30 mins lol. Buck Hill is meant to get your skiing fix in, not hit Diamonds all day.
Buck hill isn't a resort it's a hill I think that may have changed this review if it was viewed more like that. I've been boarding here my whole life, there are better hills in MN if you travel here. Also, I would last year's terrain park was 5/10 from me. The halfpipe was like that most of the winter IMO. Buck Hill is good to run fast over and over get your run and learn your tricks. It's nothing like Colorado. Also at night, you can see almost to Duluth. ;) Just kidding but you can see the city But overall great review, thanks for showing Buck some love.

Just wanted to suggest since not everyone gets a season pass maybe actually reviewing the resorts prices instead of throwing out the same average number for every resort on a season pass. I liked that you went into how much this place costs and their specials
Can you go to Welch village in Welch Minnesota? It even has the supposed to be the steepest hill in the Midwest (chicken) we also have our own run as a half pipe! Amazing stuff there many runs! Recommend going there! We also have 2 places for food. But go there in mid season when all runs are open and the best thing the black bowl a part where it looks like a bowl and there all blacks and a double black very fun!
U need to go again in the middle of the season one it’s all lively there’s a lot more and there’s a lot better vibe please try it again I’ve been going for years and had so much fun
Oh hear me out next time you go there you MUST go in the chalet and go to the waffle bar where they make you a waffle with a bunch of toppings of your choice and they have specialty waffles and I swear it will probably be the best waffle you have ever had in your life so yeah trust me on this one get that waffle

Go there during the season when it’s really cold the jump is huge its so fun

you should go to welch village, park is fun, there are a bunch of good runs, people on the lift are the nicest people, and scenery is amazing
You need to hit up Giants Ridge in northern MN next season!!!!! A lot more to do!!!!!
