    The test interval (requalification) is 3, 5, 10, 12 or 20 years depending on type gas and type cylinder per 49CFR180.209

    Local shop had acetylene tank catch fire. Workers dragged it outside, let it burn all day, all safe. Then a farm big propane tank caught fire, firemen poured water on it, 4 people dead.

    what color is Oxygen cylinder color, it should be black, and Acetylene should be Green. But you have shown opposite

      The colors don't matter. Read the labels! And never remove or tamper with a label.

      that depends on what country are you refering to and standards, oxygen cylinders are painted green in most countries. Acetylene cylinders are painted red. Black is for Argon and Argon mixtures. Gray is for nitrogen. Brown for Helium. Light Blue for NO2. White for compressed air.

    Hi. Well thanks. I want to ask, a cylinder with square key valve installed. Should I have to open it fully like hand wheel valves or half a turn will be more safe?.

      @drreadthepuddle4332  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! Acetylene fuel gas should be opened no more than a 1/2 turn. Or the flick of the wrist in case you have to turn it off in an emergency.

    Question is it best to have my flash back arrestor at the on the hoses at the tanks or the torch end?

    • @drreadthepuddle4332
      @drreadthepuddle4332  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Torch mounted flashback arrestors are always best! You want to keep any flashbacks as far from the cylinders as possible. Great question though 😉
