I just made fried cabbage. It's so good! Chopped cabbage, 1/4 cup bacon grease (I know it's not healthy but it's liquid gold in the South 😂) or you can use butter, a pinch of sugar, 1 Tablespoon of water, salt & pepper to taste. Melt the bacon grease in a skillet then add the ingredients and let it cook down. They say five minutes but I cook it a little more. I also add come cut up Hillshire Farm beef sausage or kielbasa right before it's done to heat it up. I make a meal out of it but you could also serve potatoes, rice or a vegetable too. It really is delicious! You can freeze leftover too.
I enjoy fried cabbage and onion in butter then when almost tender add smoked sausage pieces . A fast and easy meal , sometimes also with corn bread. I have had it with the bacon as well and that is also great !! i always add cabbage to my veggie soups even have added it to chili , great !! I had chopped fine cabbage to salads along with ginger sesame salad dressing with left over apples that I slice, some turkey and crumble torilla chips on top for a " crunchy asian treat ! " lol Cabbage rolls with anything leftover , served with either honey mustard sauce or sweet sour tor dipping .
I and with you on the Fairlane milk. The ff is great and I agree can be duped as while milk The taste is that good. Plus it lasts much longer and has extra protein OMG your daughter!!!! Don't kids make you glad you are alive!!!???

I typically cook the cabbage with bacon,butter,onion and garlic sautéed until a little softer with cornbread on the side
